Chapter 4-The Spirit Trials Beginning (Kaiira-chan walked in a large room filled with many warriors sparring and otherwise training themselves. Eventually after walking past all of the trainees, who bowed respectfully as Persia, Kitty, and Penelope passed, Penelope led Kaiira-chan into a small room and shut the door) Kaiira-chan: what now miss? Penelope: What is your power level? Kaiira-chan: I don’t know, the men at the palace would never let me see it. Penelope: That’s right… you grew up with the Felonian scum…. Kaiira-chan: I don’t think their scum! Penelope: QUIET! I did not ask you a question…. So do not speak. Well, can you control your ki? Kaiira-chan: yes miss. Penelope: well then, show me. Kaiira-chan: ok! (Kaiira-chan spreads her legs as she crouches and begins to scream, her hair flashes gold for a second and her eyes also turn a light green momentarily. Her energy surprises Penelope and sends her to the wall with the pure energy emitted. After a few minutes Kaiira-chan stops screaming and her power remains stable) Penelope: (getting up from the ground) WOW! That was amazing! I shouldn’t have expected any less from a Nekojin-Sayajin combination. Well then, I assume that you know magic too….. Kaiira-chan: Magic? What’s that? Penelope: (facevaults) YOU MEAN YOU DON’T KNOW ANY MAGIC?!?! Kaiira-chan: nope… is that bad? Penelope: All Nekojin are experts at three things: Physical fighting, Magic, and psychic abilities. I didn’t expect you to be very good at psychic powers, seeing as you have yet to obtain your spirit. But…… I thought surely you’d know magic if you were to participate in the spirit trials.. Kaiira-chan: what ARE the spirit trials mam? I’ve heard so much about them and yet I know nothing of them. Penelope: (sweatdrops) Those Felonians really did teach you nothing… Well, first I shall explain what a Spirit is. A Spirit is something that is born every time a Nekojin is born, But in order to obtain a Spirit one must pass the trials to prove they are worthy. Kaiira-chan: why do they have to go through trials? Penelope: Because, the Spirit’s power is immense, and if someone couldn’t handle the power, or couldn’t use that power for the good of the race then very bad things would happen. Kaiira-chan: ooohhh… do you have a spirit? Penelope: yes, I shall show you. (without even moving, Penelope began to glow a black color) PLUTO, MASTER OF DEATH COME FORTH! (suddenly the black aura that was forming around her took shape and appeared in the form of a large male samuri in front of her) Kaiira-chan, each Spirit has it’s own special powers, Pluto, my Spirit, has great Death spells. (she faces Pluto) thank you for your service Pluto, I am in no need of help at this time. (Pluto bows and goes back inside Penelope’s body) Kaiira-chan: What happens when someone dies with a spirit inside them? Penelope: well, then they go back inside the sacred pedistal… (sees Kaiira-chan’s blanks face) Oh yeah! I forgot to tell you, the sacred pedistal is where all Spirit’s are held until they come forth for their body. (looks at Kaiira-chan) Even though you don’t know any magic, I believe you are able to begin the trials now. Remember, you are the youngest person to ever participate in these trials, so many people might despise you if you beat them. (gets down to Kaiira-chan’s level and looks her in the eye) you MUST ignore them if you want to receive a Spirit Kaiira-chan. Kaiira-chan: I understand. I will try my best. Penelope: and one other thing…. You need a tail to seem more normal around here… (her hands glow black as Kaiira-chan’s tail regrows) Your… tail… isn’t… normal? Kaiira-chan: nope! (huggles her monkey tail) It’s like my dad’s tail, even though I’ve never met my dad.. Penelope: well, I suppose we could just disguise it.. (her hands glow again as Kaiira-chan’s tail suddenly gets a fabric looking thing woven around it tightly and then it seals itself to her Sayajin tail. Now instead of a Sayajin tail she has a cat tail that is orange except for a white spot at the end) Kaiira-chan: (feels her new tail) OOO!!! It’s SOFT!! Miss, do you think I'll be as strong as Prince Jukoi after training? Penelope: (suddenly getting an angry look) NEVER REDUCE YOURSLELF TO ANY FELONIAN LEVEL! Kaiira-chan: But, Prince Jukoi is my friend... Penelope: (suddenly regaining her composure) Well, let’s get going.. (she leads Kaiira-chan out to the main hall where Kitty is speaking to everyone while Persia is sitting behind her) Kitty: Hello Everyone! You are all amazing women who are fighting for the right to this Spirit! (she then opens up a seemingly ordinary pedistal and out from it springs a light blue spirit who looks just like a big blob of aura) He has not taken his form yet, but as soon as he bonds with one of you he will have his form and his powers! I’d like to welcome our special guest Cleo! (everyone bows down to the woman sitting next to Persia, who has the looks of a Jaguar) Kaiira-chan: (whispers to Penelope) who’s that lady? Penelope: (to Kaiira-chan) she is the ultimate fighter and has one of the most powerful spirits in her…. Jupiter… Kaiira-chan: oooohhh…. Ok. Kitty: First we will be having a test to see how many of you can reach the end of our obsticle course! The first 10 of you to reach the end will be able to compete further for the right to have the Spirit! (she waves her arms in the air and suddenly behind everyone appears a large jungle with such dense trees that it is hard to see through anything) Now, BEGIN! (Kaiira-chan looked very perplexed for a few seconds, but Penelope pushed her into the forest. Kaiira-chan, being smaller than everyone, could get through a little easier than some, but she still had some trouble.) Kaiira-chan: (panting) Man, it’s getting hard to find my way through all these trees… (notices that a small area to the right is an open area) Hey! There’s something over there… (runs towards the open area and finds herself face to face with a large White Dragon) ……. Hi……… Dragon: You may move on to the next challenge… If you can pass this riddle. Kaiira-chan: alright then! What happens if I don’t pass the riddle? Dragon: you die a very painful death. Kaiira-chan: (chuckles nervously) oh, well that doesn’t sound very good… But I’ll try anyways! Ok, riddle away! Dragon: What is the name of the race who lives on a Vegetable? Kaiira-chan: Race? That lives on a Vegetable? …….. ~~~~~~FLASHBACK!!!~~~~~ (Kaiira-chan and Prince Jukoi are resting from training, this seems to be when Kaiira-chan was about 7) Kaiira-chan: Prince Jukoi? Prince Jukoi: Yes Kaiira-chan? Kaiira-chan: Why doesn’t anyone like the Sayajins? Prince Jukoi: Well, you see Kaiira-chan, they are a race of very nasty warriors that destroy planets just because of their greed. Kaiira-chan: But I thought that they were slaves for Freeza.. Prince Jukoi: that is true also, but they are still a nasty race, and they almost killed my father once.. (gets a nasty expression) I don’t see why we don’t just get rid of Vegeta-sei… Kaiira-chan: Vegetable-sei? Prince Jukoi: No, Vegeta-sei, it’s their planet. Kaiira-chan: ooooh! I get it. Prince Jukoi: You sure are strange sometimes Kaiira-chan… Kaiira-chan: I know Prince, but that’s why we’re such good friends! (she then lies her head down on Prince Jukoi’s shoulder) Prince Jukoi: I suppose so.. ~~~~~~FLASHBACK OVER~~~~~ Kaiira-chan: OH! The Sayajin! Dragon: Correct, you may proceed. (he then let’s her into the mouth of a nearby cave) End Chapter 4
