Chapter 3: Beginnings of the Spirit Trials (The environment has now changed from a palace in the middle of a productive city to a wildlife area, a.k.a a jungle in some areas, and barren wasteland in others. Which is exactly why the Felonians made the Nekojins live there. Nekojins were a people that never worked for the group, except for their families. And Felonians thought that was unacceptable, and decided they were too good for the barren side of the Earth. The only reason Nekojins agreed to living on that side, is that they were always up to a challenge) (Niko and Kaiira-chan, who is now asleep and is being carried by Niko, are about to enter a cave, where there are only a few Nekojins, one, and old female, with Tiger stripes, and another, an old male, who is totally black) woman: who’s the girl? Niko: it’s the daughter of the brat that Nate had with that one Felonian, Cleo. Cleo: oh yeah. *looks over at the male sitting at the other corner* my brother is so smart, mating with a Felonian and a Nekojin. *in a mimicking tone* Of course, no one will find out. I’ll never get kicked out of society. Peh, lucky for him that I have to be banished with him, and that our people aren’t totally heartless. Nate: shut up.... anyways, what is she doing here boy? Niko: oh you’re such a loving grandfather, dad. The Felonian king wishes us to put her through the spirit trials. Cleo: How old is she? Niko: I believe she’s ten. Cleo: ten? The youngest anyone has ever taken the trials was 17. She’s going to die if she does it. I guess the king doesn’t like the threat of a Nekojin in the palace, eh? Niko: I don’t really care. As long as I get what I need, I don’t care what happens to her. Cleo: and you’re such a caring uncle. Niko: so, when do you think I should turn her over to the heads for the trials? Cleo: what is her training? Niko: she’s trained ever since she was little, but that was Felonian training, and I’ve heard she also has Sayajin blood. Cleo: ooo! That sounds fun! We’ll turn her over now and see if her instincts kick in! Nate: *raises an eyebrow* are you sure that’s wise? Cleo: if she’s half as good as any Nekojin around, she’ll be ok. Even though she’s only ten. Niko: whatever you say, you’re female, so you outrank us. Cleo: *smiles* yes, that’s one of the many reasons that Nekojins are better than Felonians, females rule. Niko: whatever, just remember, that I’m the exception. *walks out with Kaiira-chan still in his arms* Nate: yes......... I had to have the 19 year old male that is more powerful than anyone around, and has an ego much larger. Cleo: sounds a lot like you, except the powerful part. Nate: whatever. (They travel to a place that seems a little more populated, but still, there are very few people walking around. Finally, they come upon the largest building in the area. Which isn’t actually that large, compared to the Felonian palace, but is large compared to the cave that Nate and Cleo were in, meaning, about the size of a two story house.) Niko: *walks in and looks up to the 3 females, each being part snow leopard who are each about 19 in age, being at their fighting prime* Kitty: yes? What do you want? Niko: miss, I would like to request that this young one can participate in the Spirit trials. *holds up a kinda half sleeping Kaiira-chan* Penelope: how old is she? Niko: ten miss. Persia: ten? Isn’t that a little young? Is she your child? Niko: no miss, my niece. Her father is a sayajin. Penelope: oh? Is that all, sayajin and Nekojin? Niko: actually, Sayajin, Nekojin, and Felonian. Kitty: oh, well....... we might as well give it a shot. Persia: are you sure this isn’t dangerous? Kitty: nah, it’ll be interesting. Penelope: do you have any objections? Niko: of course not, I couldn’t care less. Kitty: tough guy, eh? Alright then, she shall participate in the spirit trials. We’ll get her started now. *walks up to Niko and takes Kaiira-chan out of his arms, she reaches out to him, him being warmer than the woman that just took her, but eventually wakes up, and realizes that her surronudings are very different* Kaiira-chan: where am I going Uncle Niko? Niko: *smiles* don’t worry, just follow what the ladies tell you, and you’ll be fine. Kaiira-chan: ok Uncle Niko! *she walks off with Kitty, who is shortly followed by Persia* Penelope: I guess you aren’t such a tough guy after all. *follows the others* Niko: *smirks* whatever. *walks off* ~~~End of chapter 3~~~
