Every Weyr has to have some rules, right? Well, here are ours!
6) We strongly recomend that read at least a few Pern books before joining. To understand our setting, we suggest "Dragonflight," "Dragonquest," "The White Dragon," "All the Weyrs of Pern," and "The Skies of Pern" Ms. McCaffrey's newest Pern book.
7) There is no age limit at Eastlight Weyr, but if you are under 14, we strongly suggest that you have your parents take a look at our site before you join.
8) Persona Limits:
a) When you first join, you are allowed to create up to two personas. One may be 3rd Ranking and the other 2nd.
b) After the first two months you will be allowed to create more. Eventually, you will be allowed an unlimited number. Five may be 2nd ranking and the rest 3rd ranking.
c) You may be given the chance for a 1st ranking persona through either winning a contest or amazing roleplaying. Please don't ask for one. We'll contact you.
9) Pets:
a) Each persona is allowed up to three firelizards. Occasionally, we will allow up to seven for one persona, but there will be no more than four personas in the Weyr.
b) No goldrider will have a gold flit or wher.
c) Gold Flits are rare. We'll allow no more than four in the Weyr, and only to deserving members.
d) Canines, felines, and runners are not too common but are around. Check out the beasts page to learn about them.
e) As for whers...gold ones are even more rare than gold firelizards. Few personas will have bronzes, too. Browns and blues, and sometimes greens, are more common, though. There will be no more than three gold whers at a time in the Weyr, and no more than six bronzes.
10) Posting Requirements:
a) 1st ranking personas: 1 post per 2 weeks
b) 2nd ranking personas: 1 post per 3 weeks
c) 3rd ranking personals: 1 post per 4 weeks
11) Impression:
Gold: Heterosexual Females Only
Bronze: Heterosexual Males Only
Brown: Heterosexual/Homosexual Masculine Males; Homosexual Masculine Females
Blue: All Males, All Females
Green: Homosexual Masculine/Homosexual Feminine/Bissexual Males; All Females
12) Rankng Personas:
1st Ranking: Goldriders, Weyrleader, Weyrleader 2nd, Weyrling Master, Candidate Master
2nd Ranking: Bronzeriders, Wingleaders, Master Crafters,
3rd Ranking: Brown, Blue, and Green riders, drudges, Apprentices, Journeymen Crafters, Candidates, Weyrlings, All Others
Note: Candidates are not required to post more than once every 4 weeks, but to Impress what you really want them to, post at least once every 3 weeks and more...
13) Ages:
Candidates: Between 11 and 19
Gold Candidates: Between 14 and 24
Weyrlings: If they Impress at 13 or below, they don't become full riders until they are 16. Otherwise, they will be Weyrlings for two Turns.
Apprentices: From 10 to 16+
Journeymen: From 16 to 26+
Master Crafters: 30+
14) No roleplaying another member's persona. You don't move them, they do. You don't make them speak, they do. Stick with your own persona, please.
15) Please, no flamming: you're not a dragon! ;) Be nice to the other members and they'll be nice to you.
Note: The Weyr is in a 2:1 ratio. 6 RL months = 1 IC Turn. A Weyrling, therefor, would be a weyrling for one RL year.

Personality: Everybody's quirky. It's boring to RP the perfect persona for long. Please, no controdictions, either. Nobody's got the worst temper and is nice all the time...
History: The bigger, the better! Very few personas not native to the Eastlight Islands will be accepted, and even then only some from either Ista Weyr or High Reaches. The Weyr's lost contact with all other Weyrs.
Abilities: Is your persona great with kids? Disliked by firelizards? A good leader but a horrible follower? Include negatives with possitives.

Color: Don't even ask for a Gold. They'll only be given out when we please, and even then only by Impression in normal circumstances. Bronzes are common but not too common...not everybody will get the perfect Bronzrider, and their forms will have to be more detailed and well-writtern than others.

Place of Hatching: Usually will be Eastlight Island Weyr, will sometimes accept one from Ista or High Reaches.
Appearance:
Personality: Dragons can be just as quirky as their riders... ;)
Abilities: Dragons aren't all fast and strong and have excellent flame control and big strong flames. It's a tradeoff: Speed, endurance, strength, flame strength, and flame control won't all be wonderful in one dragon.
Wing: Put a recogmendation if you'd like depending on your dragon's abilities. We can't guarentee you'll get that one, but we'll do our best to get you what you want.
