Tess Harding

Parents: Shape-shifter Nasedo acted as a stand-in-father for Tess as she grew up.
Siblings: None.
Powers: Manipulating molecular structure and mind control. She can make people see things that aren't really there, or believe things that aren't really happening.
Character History: Tess was in one of the pods in the same pod chamber that Max, Michael, and Isabel were in. She didn't "hatch" at the same time they did, and wound up growing up from them separately. Nasedo basically raised her, though from what we saw on the show, he wasn't a very "loving" father. He taught her how to use her powers, and her powers seem to be more advanced than the others'.
Nasedo had also filled told her that she was "destined" to be with Max Evans, and had told her they were married in a past life.
Tess and Nasedo moved to Roswell and Tess immediately befriended Isabel Evans, knowing that she was an alien, and Max's sister. She used mind manipulation to get Max to kiss her, and tried on several occasions to convince him that his destiny was with her.
Max was later abducted by the FBI special unit, headed by Agent Pierce. Tess used her mind control powers to help rescue him. They all later learned that Tess and Max had been married on their planet in their previous life, and that Michael and Isabel had been engaged. They had died on their planet during a war, and their people had combined their original D.N.A. with human D.N.A. and sent them to earth to fight their enemies there before they could return home and save their people.
Tess Harding is played by the talented Emilie DeRavin.
