We just watched Sunset Boulevard on TV and even tho' I hadn't seen the movie in 1950, I knew it had to be Gloria Swanson. I was right. Then I had to look up Joe Friday, which was Jack Webb, from Dragnet....I hope he wasn't as weird as as portrayed on th t web page I read. Thanks for your page! nn

I saw SB last night. I hadn't noticed it before, but the man behind Joe at the New Year's party, when he is using the phone, is an assistant to DeMille on the movie set that Norma visits. I just thougth this was interesting. Another intersting fact is that the film was pitched to the studio as a comedy, and there were even fake scripts, etc, to carry aout the illusion that a quite different film was in the works. Only when it was too late to turn back did the director etc, re eal what a dark film it was.
