Faith and Apologetics

1. I think the main idea from this section is how the best way for real Christians to reach God is Jesus. Jesus taught parables or stories to show meanins of the way God truly is. Such stories are the shepard of the lost sheep, that God will go look for you who went astray from him and help you back into the goodness of God. Jesus also teaches us to love one another with the story of the Good Samaratin. He teaches that it doesnt matter what race you are
but that you can help those in need.
2. I would like to remember William Paley's Watch and the Watchmaker. I think that out of all the arguments we read this one was the most prevalent. It stated that we are made with a very complex design and because we are made with such a complex design that we had to be made by a intelligent designer. This design can also adapt to the changes in the world, or evolves.
The second thing I would like to remember is the Knowledge of God Argument from Conscience. We all have a conscience that helps us tell what is right from what is wrong. We get this conscience from intuition, personal experieces, and knowledge. Our intuition is our gut feeling about what we should do, either the good thing or the bad. Personal experinces are just that, Personal experiences. We get these from what we have done in the past, what we are rewarded for, and what we are punished for. Knowledge is about what we know about what we are about to do.
Finnaly I would like to remember Fr. Kavanaugh's essay on natural law. This says that humans naturally want to do good, and not just religious people but all people.

I believe that this picture of Jesus best shows his teachings to the World.
4. I believe that Jesus is our Savior, the Son of God placed here on Earth. I believe this because the Jesus gave himself up for us is just astounding. I know some people who will sacrafice themselves for others, but not as litteraly as Jesus did on the cross. He was also a great moral teacher with his teachings about how we should love all others including our enemy's, or how God will always help you back into the good life. If it was proven that Jesus was not actually the son of God, I would still believe he was a great moral teacher.
