I have put this web page together to show you a bit more about me beyond my corporate website and how I came to know this leading-edge nutritional research and manufacturing company. Since returning from 10 years in Asia and getting divorced, I don't want to run around the world chasing the engineering $. I want a stable lifestyle overseas and in the UK and I feel I've found a way to do this which resonates with who I am.
I really missed my A-level biology and being able to help people. In civil engineering, it takes years to become credible and years to finish a project. Through civil engineering in my main job and relationship marketing with the nutritional research company, I am more able to make a difference to sustain and improve peoples lives.
I still like my exercise and have recently gone a bit spiritual and did some tai chi - its the country air and the influence of the locals! Since the glory days of the Mighty Select rugby team and the squash team at the Hong Kong Football Club, I do what I can in the gym and pool and of course miss competitive team sports. So, now I play squash, rackets and golf and have a growing appetite for triathlons. We like to fish and kayak on the river Wye in the summer months ...
I first came to Herefordshire in 1988 on a work secondment from London. I was drawn in by the charms and delights of those remote area in the Borders, some of which I'll share in the next page. Two beautiful kids draw me back to Herefordshire where I keep a base otherwise work away in Worcester, Bristol, Bedford, along the M4 corridor and Hammersmith.
My parents are in Johannesburg after a long spell in Malaysia when I was living in Hong Kong, and my brother and his three kids are in Madrid. With an 'engineering background', my friends are scattered all over the place and I'm glad to say there is a strong nucleus still in Asia.
