Holy Weapon: Godstaff - Appearing as if it were a simple pilgrim's
staff, the Godstaff is both a weapon of vengence and healing.
The wielder commands great powers of regeneration and divine
healing. When struck against a foe it is as if the foe were
struck by the full force of the mightiest rivers of the world.
Finally, if the wielder is in sight of a river or other body
of water, he or she can cause the water to rise up and form
great soliders in his command.
Raphael's
jobs amongst the host of archangels is to serve as a healer
to the world. Although vengence for wrongs committed by the
agents of the adversary do fall under his purview (indeed,
the Hospitaliars are a line of Paladin's devoted to exacting
revenge from the enemies of good). He is also devoted to assisting
those in need, and is the channel for much of the compassion
of the Lord.
Duties
of the Priesthood:
Raphaelites are healers of the world. The run the hospitals,
the sick-houses and are among the most skilled doctors in
the world. They will take into their care any who seek them,
even the agents of the adversary. They will protect hospitals
and the paitents within them unto death

lower than they actually are.
Order of the Hospital (Hospitaliers)
A paladinic order, the Hospitaliers are known for their bravery
in battle and their compassion for the wounded. They travel
the world, both alone and in large groups, protecting pilgrims,
healing the sick and advancing on the armies of the adversary.
Hospitaliers
have the same requirements as paladins in the PHB, but are
granted the following powers: detect presence of evil (as
in PHB); +2 to all saving throws; immune to all non-magical
diseases (as in PHB); healing hands (double what is in PHB);
curse disease (as in PHB); holy staff (like holy sword in
PHB, save it is a holy staff); war horse (as in PHB); priest
spells (as in PHB, only spells available to Raphaelites).
As well, a hospitalier has the same limits w/respect to amount
of magical items, tithing, actions of henchmen etc. as in
the PHB. Hospitaliers, like Raphaelites, must offer healing
(if they are able to heal) to any who asks it of them. |
