Mephistophles
was once a mortal prince, whose elder brother was first in
line to become the king of their realm. So great was Mephistophles'
lust for control of the realm that he attempted to kill his
brother - but was stopped at the last minute by the Royal
Chamberlain. Banished, Mephistophles sold his soul to the
adversary in exchange for the kingship of his former kingdom.
And so he came to power, but was slain on the throne by his
brother's son and condemed to hell as the demon of greed.
