Ursakin
The
largest (physically, not population wise) of the the friendly
tribes of beast kin, the ursakin are said to be among the
most fearsome allies of the Lord. Although not formally Christianized,
the Ursakin tend to believe in a mixed Religion which is based
on Christian ideals but allows for many of their ancient traditions.
This is satisfactory for the forces of the Lord to accept
their help, as the Ursakin also have a long standing grudge
with the forces of the adversary, who slaughtered most of
their tribes during the invasion of Germania. The bear-like
Ursakin may be fighters, rangers or druids.
Ursakin
tend to stand about as tall as men, but are much bulkier (weighing
roughly twice as much, but carrying the weight evenly distributed
all over their body - much like large dwarves). Their skin
is always fair, but is hidden behind long brown or black hair
and an even longer matching beard. Ursakin also sport a prodigious
amount of body hair.
Ursakin
are dangerous fighters, even bare-headed, and can swat at
an opponent with enough brute force to cause 1d6 damage. Thier
hands however, are mishapen and resemble paws - which restricts
Ursakin to small or medium human weapons. Medium human weapons
must be wielded in two hands, or are used with a -2 penalty.
Also, because of their build they must pay an extra 20% to
have clothing and armour made to fit them. Their naturally
tough hides lend them a natural AC of 8. Their strength is
quite considerable (+2 STR) but they are perhaps not the mentally
swiftest ally of the Lord's forces (-1 INT) and their odd
natural habits tend to make them less than amicable (-1 CHA)
