Description: Although nominally regarded as a Roman protectorate, the land of Affrika, which stretches from the province of Carthage in the west along the coast of the Mediterrainian to the Nile and Israel in the each, is little more than a desert wasteland ruled by nomadic tribes who travel from oasis to oasis.

In so far as the war against the enemy is concerned, Affrika is virtually neutral. Tactically the land is useless, as both sides have attempted to establish a port in the barren lands only to be defeated by the lack of resources. The nomadic tribes in the region are generally good aligned, but are polytheistic and do not believe the war against the enemy is their concern. At best they will fight skirmishes against most enemy forces who try to move into their lands.

There are several permanent settlments in Affrika, locations where tribes have settled into a semi-permanent community setting. In general these communities are inland and harmless, but several communities of Berber tribesmen have sprung up on the coast. These Berbers, though not formally a member of the dark lord's empire, wreck havoc on Italian shipping.
