Andrea ha ottenuto la Laurea in Storia presso l’Universita’  Statale di Milano (Italia), il Master in Geografia Umana (con corsi nel dipartimento di Studi per lo Sviluppo) presso l’Universita’ di Leeds (Inghilterra) ed e’ al termine del Dottorato in Geografia all’ Universita’ del KwaZulu-Natal a Durban, Sudafrica.

Andrea ha esperienze lavorative nei campi delle Organizzazioni Non Governative / No profit (ONG) e delle consulenze.

Andrea si interessa da sempre di problemi dello sviluppo con attenzione specifica al settore del turismo. In particolare e’ interessato allo sviluppo del turismo comunitario nelle zone povere.

Andrea Giampiccoli

Andrea holds a bachelor degree (Laurea) in History from the State University of Milan (Italy), a Master degree with study in Human Geography and development from the University of Leeds (England) and is in the final stage of his PhD in development Geography at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in Durban (South Africa).

Andrea has experience of working in the Not-for-Profit (NGO) and consultancy sectors.

He has a long time interest on development issues and tourism development in particular. Andrea is particularly committed to community-based development approach with specific reference to the tourism sector in poor areas.
