Hello again everyone!
Annie here. Wow... it's hard to believe but another six months have flown by and it's already time for another update from your favorite preschooler, Annie!
Well, it has finally happened... I am now soooo old that my age is measured in years instead of months - 3.5 years to be precise. As many of you well know, getting older can be very traumatic - fortunately, though, such trauma can be cushioned with generous gifts of expensive toys - I especially like Kelley dolls which, thanks to the marketing genius of Mattel, there are lots and lots that I don't yet have.
I recently graduated from my first year of preschool and, to Mom and Dad's surprise, I am actually welcome back next year. In fact, my teachers say I am doing quite well. There was one day, though, that I was fussy and my Mom couldn't be reached so my Dad had to come rescue me - he took me back to work where I distracted everyone and destroyed his office. He says work is hard, but it seemed a lot like play time to me!
Mom and Dad didn't think that I really needed a new bike this spring, but strategic placement of my old bike in the blind spot behind my Mom's car took care of that - so, now I'm sporting a brand new 16" bike with fancy paint and all-terrain tires. My old bike wasn't a total loss, though - Dad was able to salvage the bell. I hope they learned their lesson, though, 'cause I've been eyeing a new wagon...
I still take Mom and Dad swimming each week. The old lifeguard who is really nice and lets me break all the rules is leaving, though, so now I have to break in a completely new one. It appears that she's been trained by the really mean lifeguard but I think I'm up to the challenge - she will quickly learn (as Dad has) that the path of least resistance is to let Annie have her way.
