By Jennifer

Costume: Blue fuzzy cashmere like sweater, w/ blue silky skirt and
lace underlay
Review/Comments:
This program was done very well! It was a real crowd pleaser, and displays
how much Kristi has grown artistically. Amazingly, she has been able to keep
one of the more difficult jumps, the Triple flip and made it her strength.
List of elements included in this program:
-
Double Axel
-
Triple flip
-
Camel spin to a sit spit to a scratch spin
-
Split leaps
-
Triple toe (she cheated that landing)
-
Death Drop
Results:
In arena score: 9.78
Home score: 9.66
Overall Average: 9.72 - Winner first place
My score: 10!
Interview:
Question: "Do you think the audience picked up on the difficult triple
flip?"
Kristi: "Well, if they read Figure Skating for Dummies, they might
know the difference between a flip and a toe! Hopefully, it’s one of
my stronger triple jumps, so why not put it in the program and add a little
excitement?"
Question: "If the jumps don’t get the judges, the Elvis hips
will!"
Kristi: "Uh, oh. It’s a fun number, there’s a lot of music,
and of course, he’s known for those types of moves. I try a little
bit."
Question: "You had a little trouble at the end with the triple toe,
what happened?"
Kristi: "I think I was a little too excited through the whole number,
and towards the ends I was losing my legs a little, so I wasn’t sure
what was going to happen."
