A Golden Moment

It was great. Kristi was a wonderful host, but perhaps a bit too stressed (she fell twice). She skated her Romeo and Juliet program, and then later skated to "Time to Say Goodbye" with Sarah Brightman signing live. Very exciting.

Katia was wonderful, and I loved that I got see her 2 programs that I haven't seen before. The first was the Keiko Matsui's "Night Hawk Dream", and it was awesome! Loved the slide spiral and this one section of footwork in the beginning. Katia also skated her Il Postino program in a lovely black lace halter/dark red costume.

Katerina Witt was sizzling! She performed to Carmen, which she does wonderfully. And then she did "Rescue Me" with the band from Germany singing live. Double axel even!

Roz skated to one of Taylor Dane's songs live, and then to Anne Cochran live singing "After All These Years".

Tara skated to another one of Taylor Dane's songs, as well as "Second Element".

Brasseur and Eisler were also there, which was a surprise to me. They skated to Shania Twain's, "You're Still the One".

Also there, but not performing, were Peggy Fleming, Scott Hamilton, and Brian Boitano

All in all, a wonderful night of skating for a very good cause.
