לכן, כל המינים מוגנים.
Most of the Irises in Israel are endemic, and grow only in few places.
Therefore, all the species are protected.
אירוס הגלבוע - צומח בגלבוע, במזרח השומרון ובדרום הגולן.
Iris hayeni Baker - grows in the Gilbo'a ridge, eastern Samaria and Southern Golan.
אירוס נצרתי - צומח בגליל התחתון והעליון.
Iris bismarckiana - grows in the lower and upper Galillee.
אירוס הארגמן - צומח בשרון ובפלשת.
רוב שטח תפוצת המין הפך לאזורים עירוניים, והוא שרד רק בשמורות טבע מעטות.
Iris atropurpurea Dinsmore - grows in the Sharon & Pleshet areas.
Most of the species' original distribution area became urban areas, and the species remained only in few nature reserves.
אירוס ארם-נהריים - צומח בבתי קברות מוסלמיים בכל הארץ. גדל בר רק בחרמון.
Iris mesopotamica Dykes - grows in moslem cemetries across the country.
It grows in the wild only in the Hermon.
אירוס הסרגל - מין נדיר הצומח בכרמל ובגליל. פורח כבר בנובמבר - דצמבר.
Iris vartanii Foster - a rare species that grows in the Carmel & Galilee.
It blooms in November-December.
אירוס ענף - מין ממוצא צפוני - אירופי. ישראל היא גבול תפוצתו הדרומי. נדיר מאד בארץ וגדל במקומות ספורים (שמורת החולה ושמורת עין-נוטרה).
Iris pseudacorus Linnaeus - This species origin is from Europe. Israel is the south edge of its distribution. Very rare in Israel and grows only in few places, like Hula & Notera spring reserves.
