Shows

All shows are hosted by member kennels of the AmCDSA. To enter a show, click on one of the shows on the show calendar (above) which is open for entries and send an entry form in to the host kennel's owner. All of this information should be on the show's page.

Classes

Puppy Class - dogs who have not been shown in an AmCDSA show before (no foundations, 1 time only, no limit)
Open Class - for all dogs; sorted by group & breed (limit 20 dogs per owner)
Bred by Owner Class - dogs who are bred and owned by the same person (does not include foundations, limit 2 dogs per owner)
Breeding Class - one dog/bitch and 4 of its offspring, entered as a group; all dogs in the group need not be owned by the same person, but two must have some sort of title, and all owners must send in the entry for their own dogs (no limit)
No dog may be entered more than once in any given show; each dog shall be entered in one class only. Individual shows may impose additional limits at their discretion.

Certificates

Blue, Red, White

Blue = 3 White
Red = 2 White

BP (Best Puppy), one dog selected from Puppy Class - White Certificate
BOB (Best Of Breed), one dog selected from each breed in Open Class - White Certificate
BOG (Best Of Group), one dog selected from all BOB winners in each group in Open Class - Red Certificate
BBO (Best Bred by Owner), one dog selected from Breed by Owner Class - Red Certificate
BBG (Best Breeding Group), one breeding group selected from Breeding Class - all dogs get a White Certificate
BIS (Best In Show), one dog selected from all BOG winners in Open Class and the BBO winner in Breed by Owner Class - Blue Certificate
BOS (Best of Opposite Sex in show), one dog selected from all BOG/BBO winners that are not of the same sex as the BIS winner - Blue Certificate

Once your dog earns the equivalent of 9 White Certificates, it receives the title Am.Ch. in front of its name!

Your dog WILL NOT earn more than one certificate in any one show, but will receive only a certificate for its highest win. For example, if a dog wins BOB and then wins BOG, it will get only a Red Certificate for the BOG.
