Chapter 7 – Dancing

Carly – downed her second shot of tequila with a frown. She looked over to her two friends, “Since when did I get to be the sensible one.” She thinks. “Robin’s just buzzed. She needs to relax a little more and let loose. But Brenda’s definitely drunk. This Sonny thing must be worrying her more than she wants to admit.” She muses thoughtfully.

Robin – Smiles as she dances back over to the table and sits down, “This is fun. I’m glad we decided to come here.” She says and takes another sip of her beer. “I forgot how much fun dancing is.”

Carly – “I noticed you seemed to be enjoying yourself.”

Robin – “Most definitely.” She says and suddenly frowns, “Why haven’t I seen you out there dancing? What’s wrong? Aren’t you having fun?”

Carly – “Yeah. I’m good.” She laughs, “I’m just gonna hang back for now. I’ll be out there in a minute.”

Robin – “Ok” she says and takes another sip of her beer. She glances around the room and smiles when she sees someone that she wants to dance with, “I’m going to go back out on the floor.” Carly nods with a laugh as Robin walks over to the guy.

Carly – Orders another drink and downs it before going out to dance. “I might as well have a little fun too.” She thinks as she sashays up to a guy and asks him to dance.

Out on the floor Carly, Brenda and Robin are dancing enthusiastically to the music. We hear Brenda let out a laugh of pure joy when Prince’s Letitgo (from the Come Album © 1994 Warner Bros. Records Inc.) came on. It reminded her a bit of her relationship with Sonny.

Brenda -- danced closer to the man she was dancing with, shimmying and swaying to the music. She danced around closing her eyes, blocking out thoughts of Sonny and trying to focus on herself and the present.

Brenda -- She opens her eyes when she hears the words. She glances over to where Robin and Carly was dancing, they seem to be enjoying themselves she thinks. She was glad. She wanted her friends to have fun. She waves and smiles at them when she sees them look over at her before returning her focus back to her dance partner. What was his name again she thinks to herself. Bill, Bobby, I don’t know. She thinks. Boy, I must really be drunk she thinks with a laugh and continues to dance around.

Brenda -- smiled at her dance partner and gave him a small kiss on the cheek. “Thanks”
And returns to the table and is joined shortly by Robin and Carly. “So what’s the plan for tomorrow.”

Carly – looks over at her and shrugs, “I don’t know. What time are they coming in?”

Robin – “Around 10 or 11.” She pauses, “I have an appointment early with Daniel to discuss some things before the guys get here. I figured you’d want to spend some time alone with the guys and then have dinner together.”

Brenda – “That sounds good.” She smiles, “I bet we can even convince Sonny to cook for us if we all gang up on him.”

Carly – “That sounds like fun.” She laughs.

Robin – “Which one?” she asks with a laugh, “Ganging up on Sonny or him cooking for us?”

Carly – “Both.” She says and they all crack up laughing.

Brenda – “Um guys…” she begins nervously, “I wanted to ask you something.” She says softly. Robin and Carly both turn their attention to focus on Brenda, “Don’t tell Sonny what I mentioned earlier. I know you wouldn’t but…”

Carly – “You had to say something.” She finishes. Brenda nods, “Don’t worry. Sonny may be my brother and I love him but I love you too. And I think I can speak for Robin on this one, we just want you happy.” Robin nods heartily.

Brenda – “That’s the thing. I am happy with Sonny. But I want more. I changed and that’s not really fair to him. I don’t know what’s wrong with me anymore. Sonny is a great guy.”

Robin – “Yes, and so is Jason and AJ. But if the roles were reversed, what would you tell us to do?” she asks.

Brenda – “I would support your decision no matter what you decide. But I would hope that you would fight for your relationship and talk to them before doing anything drastic.” She says quietly thinking about what she told Robin.

Carly – “Exactly. That’s all we ask. Talk to him.” She explains and pauses and exchanges glances with Robin before asking, “Brenda are you sure that there isn’t something else wrong?”

Robin – Nods, “Yeah Bren. You know that you can tell us anything.”

Brenda – “I know, but this isn’t the place to get into it.” She says, “We came here to have fun. Not mope or talk about my problems.” She sighs and looks at her friends and takes a deep breath. Slowly exhaling she says, “There’s nothing you can do about this. It’s something that I have to deal with. I want to talk to you about it. But not here. I love this song, lets go dance.” She says taking their hands and pulling them out on to the dance floor.

They all began to move slowly to the music. Each lost in their respective thoughts. The song speaking to them all in different ways.

Brenda – closed her eyes and thought of Sonny. She had so much she wanted to tell him. The truth, if she would admit it to herself, was that she was scared. She knew what was wrong and was scared by how he would react. She didn’t know how he would take her news. He was so unpredictable and hard to read sometimes. She wished he would open up to her a bit more but knew that it may never happen. She sighs and then smiles as she thinks of their last night together. She had almost told him then, she would definitely tell him tomorrow when she saw him. She just hoped he took the news well.

Carly – smiles softly to herself as thoughts of AJ drifts into her mind, filling her thoughts. She closes her eyes and she swears she could almost feel his hands on her body as if he was right there dancing with her. She kept her eyes closed sashaying to the music. She couldn’t wait to be with him tomorrow. She couldn’t wait until his arms were around her for real.

Robin – sways and dances sensuously to the beat. The song taking her back to her days in Paris. When she first became Angel and first started to mend her heart trying to move on from the hurt Jason caused her. She closes her eyes to shut out the memories and slowly exhales a breath. She had missed him so much back then. He had been so much a part of her and her life, she had been lost. She smiled slightly, things haven’t changed that much. But she knew that deep down that was a lie. She wasn’t the same girl who had left PC for Paris. She was stronger and didn’t need Jason like she had before. The difference is now that she choose to be with him. She wanted too, not needed too be with him.

The ladies finished dancing and went back to their table after a few more songs. They sat back down laughing and decided to leave so that they could get a decent night’s rest before the guys arrived. They just had one stop to make, a trip to the drug store was required before they headed in.

Part Two – A Bit of a Surprise
~Robin’s Room~
Carly – “Okay. We’ll do it with you. Just so you want be too nervous or feel scared.”

Brenda – “But shouldn’t we wait for tomorrow. Will the alcohol affect the test?”

Robin – “It might be better to wait until the morning.” She says pausing to think, “Plus I promised Jason I’d call him when we got back from dancing.”

Brenda – “You can’t tell him about this.”

Robin – Gives Brenda a do-you-think-I’m-stupid look, “Of course not.” She says, “Would you want to be on the other end of the phone after I told him?”

Carly – Laughs, “Not if you paid me.” She smirks, “I love Jason like a brother. And he’s almost as overprotective as Sonny is, but I would not want to be you, telling him what we are about to do.”

Brenda – “Yeah, plus he’ll tell Sonny. Then Sonny’ll call and be all upset about me keeping this from him.”

Robin – She reaches for the phone, “Be quiet.” She says shushing them as she waits for him to pick up the phone. She frowns when a female voice answers saying Morgan Resident. “Hello. Is Mr. Morgan there?” she asks trying to keep her voice light.

Brenda and Carly exchange looks and mouth Mr. Morgan quizzically.

Female – “Yes he is, but he’s tied up at the moment. May I ask whose calling?” the woman asks innocently.

Robin – “This is his fiancée, Robin. Could you untie him for a moment and tell him to come to the phone please?” she says trying to control her anger, which is just provoked by her curiosity as to who this woman was and why she was answering Jason’s phone.

Female – “Sure thing.” She says sweetly.

In the background, now standing next to Robin.

Brenda – “Who was that?”

Robin – Putting her hand over the phone, “I don’t know” she shrugs.

Carly – “What did you mean by untie him for a moment? What is he doing? And who answered his phone? Was it a woman?” she asks in one breath already knowing the answer to the last question.

Robin – “ She said he was tied up. I don’t know to the next two questions.” She says with her hand over the phone, “And yes it was.” She hears Jason coming to the phone, “I’m about to find out now.”

Jason – “Morgan.” He says as he answers the phone.

Robin – “Hello Sweetheart.” She says her voice tight.

Jason – Puzzled as to Robin’s tone of voice, “I didn’t expect to here from you tonight.”

Robin – “Obviously not.” She says evenly, “Did you forget that I said I would call you when I got in?”

Jason – “No.” still a bit confused, “But it got late so I didn’t expect you to call. You’re usually not out this late. Did something happen?”

Robin – Angry that Jason is clueless as to why she’s mad and that he hasn’t offered up any explanations as to why a strange female was answering his phone, “So I can’t stay out late anymore? Is that it?” she asks heatedly, “I’ll have you know that I stayed out much later than this when I was dancing.” She spits out.

Jason – “So is that what this is about? Dancing?” he asks, Quietly almost in a whisper, he says, “Is that it? Do you want to dance again? Is that what’s wrong? Did something happen while you guys went out tonight?” he states. “Just tell me what’s wrong Robin? What has you so mad?” he asks.

Robin – Taking a deep breath, she slowly exhales, “No. I don’t want that. That’s not it. I do miss it. I’m not going to lie to you. I miss how it makes me feel. But I can’t go back to that. And I can’t go back to who I was before that.” She says quietly. “I’m sorry. I’m just tired and I didn’t expect to call you and have some woman answer the phone. Who is she? Cause Graciella is never there that late and she sure as h*ll didn’t sound like Graciella to me.”

Jason – Sighs, “That’s what this is all about?” he asks, “Don’t you trust me?” he sighs, “Tell me what’s really going on. What aren’t you telling me?” he asks knowing that it has got to be another reason behind her anger.
Robin – “There’s nothing going on.” She says seriously, “Just tell me who that was.”

Jason – “That was just Marie.”

Robin – “Oh Marie.” She said, “Who is Marie and why was she answering your phone?”

Jason – Laughing, “You’re really upset aren’t you.”

Robin – A bit peeved that Jason was laughing at her, “Yes. And what’s so funny?”

Jason – “Hold on.” He says and goes upstairs to talk to Robin in private. “Marie is a friend, I met her after we broke up. She’s going through a rough period and needed a place to crash for a few days.”

Robin – “So she’s staying at the penthouse.” She says her voice tight.

Jason – Sighs, he sees the conversation not getting better. “Do you trust me Robin?”

Robin – Nods her head yes, “Yes. Of course I do.” She sighs.

Jason – “Marie will be staying here while I’m with you. She’s going through a rough time with her boyfriend. I told her if she ever needed me that she could come to me.” He sighs frustrated at the line of questioning, “Besides AJ’s here too. He brought our cousin over to meet me.”

Robin – “Cousin? AJ?”

Jason – “Chloe Morgan. She’s related to grandmother some how. AJ’s going to be staying here for tonight. That way we won’t have to wait for him to get here tomorrow before we can leave. ”

Robin – “Oh. Sorry.” She sighs, “I guess I overreacted huh?”

Jason – Laughs, “Just a bit, but I love you anyway.”

Robin – Laughs slightly, “That’s good to know.” She sighs, “I really am sorry Jason. I didn’t mean to react that way. I told you that I changed and you might not like who I was.”

Jason – “Nonsense. I love you and who you have become.”

Robin – “So is Chloe nice?”

Jason – Smiles, “She seems nice enough.”

Robin – “Do you know how much I miss you?”

Jason – “Can’t be half as much as I miss you.”

Robin – Starts to say something but is interrupted by Brenda and Carly who are now sitting on her bed. “Hold on. Carly and Brenda are trying to get my attention.”

Jason – “Where are you?”

Robin – “We’re in my room. We were going to watch a movie after I called you.” She says with a smile, “Hold on.” She moves the phone away from her mouth, “What?” she asks in mock frustration.

Carly – “What’s AJ doing there?”

Robin – “He’s staying the night.”

Brenda – “Who was that who answered the phone?”

Robin – “A friend of Jason’s who going to be staying there for a few days.”

Brenda – “Whose Chloe?”

Carly – “She’s their cousin.” She says quickly.

Robin – “How did you know?”

Carly – “AJ mentioned that she would be coming into town when I spoke to him earlier.”

Robin – “Oh.” She smiles, “Can I go back to talking to my fiancée now?” They nod and smile. “Good.” She says and turns back to talking to Jason, “Sorry about that.” She says.

Jason – “No problem. Boy, they’re nosy.” He laughs.

Robin – “Yeah but they mean well.” She laughs, “They were worried that they would have to come back and kick some woman’s a*s.” she laughs again.

Jason – Slightly shocked at Robin’s language, “What time do you plan on going to sleep?” he asks changing the subject.

Robin – “Soon. I just wanted to talk to you for a bit. I always sleep better after talking to you. Why?”

Jason – “Oh no reason. I just don’t want you too tired for tomorrow.” He laughs.

Robin – Flirtatiously, “Oh why is that Mr. Morgan?”

Jason – “Because I want the only reason for you to be tired tomorrow to be me.” He says his voice getting husky.

Robin – “Well then I guess I should be going to sleep then huh?” she laughs.

Jason – “Yeah.” He says, “And Robin?”

Robin – “Yeah?”

Jason – “I love you.” He says

Robin – “I love you too.” She says with a smile before hanging up.

Part Three – The Results

~The Next morning~

Robin and the girls look at each other apprehensively as they one by one go in to the bathroom, each holding a small rectangular box.

Carly – After she comes out, she was the last one, “It says five minutes.”

Brenda – “So what do we do until then?”

Robin – “Try to keep ourselves distracted from what is happening in that bathroom as we speak.”

Carly – “Okay.” She takes a deep breath and exhales, “Tell me more about this woman who answered Jason’s phone.”

Brenda – “Yeah. Why was she answering his phone anyway?”

Robin – “She’s a friend. Someone he met when we broke up. Marie or Maria something like that.”

Brenda – “Well, what was she doing there?”

Robin – “She needed some place to stay for a little while. She’s having trouble with her boyfriend. And you know how Jason is?”

Brenda – “Yeah. He has that white knighter, it’s up to me to save the damsel in distress thing that Sonny has.”

Carly – Grins, “Who do you think he learned it from?”

Brenda – “True.” She grins back, “But it gets a little tired after a bit. They think that we can’t take care of ourselves or handle the least bit of stress that may come into our lives.”

Robin – Laughs, “That’s true. But I think they’ve gotten better.”

Brenda – Laughs and gives Robin an are-you-kidding look, “You can’t be serious?” she asks in amazement.

Robin – “Well let’s just say that they’ve gotten better since I left the last time.” She says with a laugh before turning serious. “Do you think that before Jason and I broke up and got back together that they would have agreed to let us go on this trip? Or that they would have reacted with such calmness when I told them about me stripping and everything else that happened in Paris.”

Carly – “I didn’t know them back then.” She begins, “But from what I’ve heard. I would say no.”

Brenda – “Hey that was my line.” She laughs and tosses a pillow at Carly, “Well the last part anyway.”

Robin – “See it could be much worse. Believe me. They could turn into Mac.” She says with a bit of frustration.

Carly – “What happened with him anyway?”

Robin – “I don’t know. Your guess is as good as mine.” She sighs, “He reacted bad, real bad. I don’t know what to think or how to react to him. It’s like he wasn’t even himself.” She pauses a moment and thinks back on the conversation she had with Mac, “He’s changed. He even blamed Brenda.”

Brenda – Laughs in disbelief, “What?”

Robin – Nods with a sad smile, “Yeah. He said that if I hadn’t been friends with you then I would have never met Sonny.” She sighs, “I think that it was just easier to blame you than to blame Stone.” She gets up from the bed and goes to look out the window, “Because he knows that if he did that. He would have crossed a line that he would not have been able to cross back over.”

Brenda and Carly get up and go over to Robin and envelope her in a hug. They stand there for a few moments before the timer that Carly had set up in the bathroom goes off. With uneasy glances and small smiles the three ladies grab hands and go into the bathroom.

~Inside The Bathroom in Robin’s Room~
They glanced at each other and then back at the three tests that lay in front of them. To say that they were a bit surprised was an understatement. Well, not all of them were surprised.

Carly – “Umm. Guys?” she said hesitantly.

Robin – “Yeah. I know.” She says quietly.

Carly – “But…” she says and then stops. First the first time she can remember, she’s speechless.

Brenda – laughs, “I can’t believe it. Caroline Corinthos is speechless.”

Carly – shoots Brenda a glare, “This isn’t funny.”

Brenda – Holds up her hands in surrender, “I know. I’m sorry.” She says with a smile, “There’s nothing to worry about. Everything is going to be fine.”

Robin – “Yeah, but how are we going to handle this?” she asks. “There’s so much going on right now. This is the last thing that I need.” She thinks to herself. Outloud, “How do you think the guys will react?”

Carly – “Probably the same way we did. Speechless, dumbfounded, amazed, shocked…” she says letting her voice trail off.

Brenda – Clears her throat, “Well. Honestly, I’ve suspected this for a little bit. This just confirms it.” She says.

Carly and Robin turn to her in shock.

Robin – “You suspected this.” She asks waving her hand at the boxes “And didn’t say anything?”

Brenda – With a slight laugh, “No not this.” She says waving her hand at the boxes the same way Robin did. “Just this one.” She says picking up the slender white stick that she knew was about to change her future and her present.

Carly – “That certainly explains why you’ve been so worried about your and Sonny’s relationship.” She quips.

Brenda – “This was only part of the reason. It’s not just how this will affect Sonny and the business. Or even my career. There’s some things that happened, things that I have to deal with.”

Robin – “Does Sonny know about these things?” she asks curiously wondering what they could be.

Brenda – “Yeah. He knows.” She says with a hint of sadness. She looks back at the tests and laughs, “I don’t believe this.”

Robin – “I know. Who would have ever thought.” She laughs also.

Carly – “The three of us. Pregnant at the same time.” She laughs, “But you know who I really feel sorry for?”

Brenda – “Yeah.” She says with a laugh, “The guys.”

Chapter 9 – Reunions

Part One – Waiting

Shortly after taking the test, Robin went to her meeting with Duke. She had talked to him last night after her talk with Jason about Jason and the possibility of being pregnant to get a different perspective on things. Duke had suggested they go for a ride since her bike was up there in storage. They rode for a bit and stopped at a beautiful clearing.

Robin – Turning off the engine and getting off the bike, she stretched and took a deep breath. When she turned to Duke he was still perched on his bike, she smiled at him and said, “It’s beautiful out here.”

Duke – Nods, “I know. I come here all the time.” He sighs and gets off his bike, “It helps me think.”

Robin – Nods, “I can see why.” She pauses and looks around for a bit, “Have you heard from Holly or Sean?”

Duke – “Not yet. But I expect to hear something soon.” He glances at her, “It’s not like her to stay out of touch for long. She wouldn’t want to be away from Adam that long anyway.”

Robin – “He’s with Uncle Mac.” She says with a dejected sigh.

Duke – “Is that a bad thing?” he asks curiously. She had mentioned her argument with Mac previously but he didn’t realize how bad it was.

Robin – “Staying with Mac?” she shakes her head no, “No. Never. He’s a wonderful father. And he loves Adam dearly.”

Duke – “He loves you too my dear.” He says looking at her intently.

Robin – “I know that in my heart.” Places her hand lightly over her heart, “But my heart and my head are doing a bit of a battle.” Sighs, “You didn’t hear him last time. He was hurt and upset. I get that. I understand that. But he said some cruel and hurtful things to me. I don’t know if I can so easily forgive him for that.”

Duke – Walks over to her and puts and arm around her shoulder, “You will.” He pauses, “You have forgiven more.”

Robin – “I know. I have forgiven Jason for much worse things. But I never thought Uncle Mac would do that. That we would hurt me like that, I know how he feels about Jason. I just didn’t realize how deep it runs.” She runs her fingers through her hair in frustration, “I know that I should call him and talk to him. But I’m afraid to hear the disappointment in his voice again. That defeated tone.” She turns to look up at him, “I know that Uncle Mac loves me and means well. But he has to learn and know that I’m not a little girl anymore.”

Duke – Smiles, “He knows that but he just doesn’t want to accept it.” He looks at her and says, “You have to be the bigger person, show how much you’ve changed and grown. Call him.” He pauses to let her think about what he’s said, “The Robin Scorpio I know. Would call. She would face him down until he admitted he was wrong or at least came to a compromise.” He puts a hand on her cheek and looks at her deeply, “You are a strong person Robin. You have gone through so much and survived it all. And have only come out stronger in the end.” He pauses, “You’re also facing a lot right now. You’re going to need Mac.”

Robin – Sighs, “I’ll think about it.” She says and hugs him, “Now lets get back. I don’t want to miss a second of Jason being here.”

Duke laughs as they get back on their motorcycles and head back to Pacífica Vida.

~- Meanwhile at Pacífica Vida -~
Carly and Brenda are waiting in the front room for Robin to return and for the guy’s arrival. They are startled by the phone ringing and stunned by the pieces of conversation that they catch from the quick call. They see Victor and Raymond rush out and hear Alice calling for Dr. Johannes.

Carly and Brenda look at each other and know that something is wrong. They pray that it isn’t Robin but somehow they know that it is. They move next to each other and grip hands, each saying a silent prayer that whatever has happened. That Robin will be okay.

~- On the Road Somewhere -~
On the way back to Pacífica Vida, they were rounding a curve and Robin’s bike skidded and went out of control. She is knocked over and skids a little with the bike before falling away from it. She is knocked into a rock on the side of the road.

We see Victor drive up in a car to where Duke is waiting holding Robin in his arms and talking quietly to her. Raymond is seen driving a truck to put the two motorcycles on. They all rush back to the house.

~- A short time later at Pacífica Vida -~
As Carly and Brenda wait to see what is going on with Robin, they pray that the guys don’t arrive right now. True they wanted to see them badly, but they didn’t want to explain to Jason that something had happened to Robin.

Then the door opens and we see Duke coming in carrying Robin followed by Dr. Johannes who had arrived at the same time. Duke carries Robin up to her room followed by the doctor and leaving Carly and Brenda worriedly pacing in the front room. Robin had told the doctor what they suspected and had him take blood samples from all of them to confirm the results. Neither Carly or Brenda are wearing a band-aid because they don’t want to explain anything to the guys.

As the girls are pacing, Alice lets in Sonny, AJ and Jason.

Carly – lets go of Brenda’s hand and runs up to AJ and hugs him tightly before kissing him, “AJ” she says after she breaks the kiss and then hugs him tightly again, “Boy did I miss you.”

AJ – hugs her tightly and then steps away and looks at her, he studies her face for a minute. “Such a beautiful face.” He kisses her again, “I missed you too sweetheart.”

Carly – laughs, “I’m glad to hear that.” She says with a smile before stepping away from him. She turns to her brother and Jason, giving both of them a hug and a kiss on the cheek. “Hi guys.”

Sonny – “Hey sis. Surprised you noticed I was here.” He laughs.

Jason – “Hi Carly”

-Sonny and Brenda-
Brenda – pulls her hand away from Carly’s and goes over to Sonny with a big smile, “Hi Honey.” She says standing in front of him and studying him for a moment.

Sonny – breaks into a dimpled grin that almost makes Brenda go weak in the knees, “Baby.” He says and pulls her into a deep kiss and a hug. “You get more and more beautiful every time I see you.”

Brenda – laughs, “I think someone must have missed me.” She says and gives him another kiss.

Sonny – Thinking back on his dinner with AJ, Jason, Mike and Bobbie, he sighs, “You don’t know how much.”

Brenda – “Hey Jase. AJ.” She says looking over to them but not leaving Sonny’s embrace.

Jason and AJ – “Brenda.” They say in near unison

-Jason-
Jason steps into the house and immediately notices Robin’s absence. He would have betted that she would have been waiting for him. Maybe, she was more upset about Marie than I thought. But he quickly dismisses that idea. Something’s wrong, his instincts are telling him. He’d be patient for a bit longer to allow the others time to say hello before he asked the question that was blaring in his head.

Jason – Clears his throat after Sonny and Brenda, AJ and Carly had said their Hello’s. “Um Brenda, Carly.” He says, “Where’s Robin?”

[Note: This is after everyone has said hello. I did the reunion separately. But they were pretty much simultaneous except for Jason’s. This was just a mini hello for the couples.]

Carly – steps towards Jason with a sad smile, “She went out for a ride with Mr. Lund. She said she had some business to take care of and wanted it out of the way before you guys arrived.”

Brenda – also stepping towards Jason she takes his hand and looks him in the eyes, “Maybe you should sit down Jase.” She says taking a deep breath.

Jason – Shakes his head no, “Just tell me what it is Brenda. Please.” He says his eyes pleading.

Brenda – Nods and exchanges a glance with Carly before saying, “Okay. We don’t know all the details. What Carly said was true. She did go for a ride with Mr. Lund, but there was an accident.”

Carly – Sees Brenda about to lose it so she picks up the conversation, “Robin took her motorcycle out. You know how much she loves to ride.” She says with a slight smile when she sees Jason nod, “There was an accident, and we don’t know what happened. They just got back a few minutes before you arrived.” She pauses before saying, “I’m sorry Jason.”

Jason – looks at Carly confused for a second, “Why? It wasn’t your fault. I mean I know that you don’t want Robin hurt or anything.” He says, “I can guarantee you that she will be fine.” He says confidently.

Carly – “How do you know that?” she asks in slight disbelief.

Jason – “Number one, Robin always wears her helmet. Number two, Robin wouldn’t leave me; She knows how much I need her.” Just as he finishes saying this Duke/Daniel and Robin comes down followed by the doctor. “See.” He says pointing to Robin.

Robin – “Jason.” She says with her entire face lighting up. She has a bruise on her cheek and on her forehead along her hairline and her arm is in a sling along with a bandage around her left ankle. “I’m fine.” She says to everyone, “Just a little banged up. But I’m fine.” She says to him and walks over to him as quickly as she can. She stands there looking at him for a moment drinking him in, before she smiles up at him. He leans down and pulls her into a kiss, “I missed you.” She whispers before turning back towards Dr. Johannes.

Dr. Johannes – “I will get those test results back to you as soon as possible.”

Robin – Nods, “Thank you Dr. Johannes for everything. I’ll have Alice see you out.” She says and Alice escorts the doctor out. She motions to Daniel/Duke with her hand to come closer to her, “Daniel Lund. I would like to introduce you to my fiancée Jason Morgan.” She says with a smile nodding at Jason, “Sonny Corinthos,” she motions towards Sonny, “And last but not least, AJ Quartermaine.” She says with another smile.

Duke (Whose back in Daniel mode now) – “Gentlemen.” He says with a nod.

Robin – “Guys. This is Daniel Lund. He’s the caretaker and house manger here. If you have any questions about anything, security or whatever ask him.” She starts to walk towards the couch but is stopped when Jason picks her up and carries her over there, “I can walk honey.” She says with a frown. She hated being taken care of.

Jason – Nods, “I know. But I wanted to.” He says looking at her deeply, before whispering, “It’s been to long since I’ve held you.” He adds, “And I’m sure the doctor told you to rest.” He says louder and looking at Daniel who nods his head in agreement. “Now tell me what happened?”

Robin – “I don’t know what happened. Daniel and I were riding back to the house, I went around this curve and lost control of the bike.” She sighs frustrated. This has never happened before. She was always careful when riding her motorcycle, “I guess I leaned to much on the curve or something. Cause the bike is in excellent condition.”

Daniel – ““I’ll go check on the things we discussed if you don’t need me for anything else.” He says from his place by the fireplace. He was going to have some people come and check on the bike. He had a bad feeling that it had been tampered with, “I’ll have Victor take the bags up to the rooms.” He says. “We’ll meet later today or tomorrow to discuss security.” He says with a smile noticing the look on Sonny’s face. “Let me assure you Mr. Corinthos that we have only the top of the line security here. Robin’s safety is the number one priority along with whoever stays here so we’ve taken measures and precautions to ensure that things run smoothly.” He pauses, “If you’d like I can show you and Mr. Morgan and Mr. Quartermaine as well our system and layout.”

Sonny – “Isn’t that a little risky?” he asks eyeing the man carefully.

Daniel – “Oh no. On the contrary, all our security codes and whatever you may have access too is changed after every visitor leaves. And we update our systems biweekly just to be on the safe side.” He turns back towards Robin, “I’ll be downstairs if you need me.”

Robin – “Okay.” She nods, “Let me know if anything develops.” Daniel nods and quickly leaves. She sighs and looks around at everyone, “So,” she says brightly, “How was the trip?” she asks innocently. Carly and Brenda look at her and begin laughing.

Carly – “We’ll discuss all that at dinner.” She says grabbing AJ’s hand, “Right now, I want to give AJ a tour of this place.”

Brenda – “That sounds like a good idea Carly.” She says with a smirk, “Well not about giving AJ a tour.” She laughs and grabs Sonny’s hand, “I think Sonny and I are going to take a walk on the beach.”

Brenda and Sonny leave for the beach and Carly and AJ head out for their “tour” leaving Robin and Jason alone.

Robin – “Well, since Dr. Johannes did say that I should take it easy for the rest of the day.” She smiles mischievously at Jason, “Wanna help me,” she says in a low voice, “Take it easy?” she asks running her hand along his jaw.

Jason – stands up from his place by Robin with a smile. He doesn’t say anything at first, but we can see the twinkle in his eyes, he picks her up and heads towards the stairs, “Which way to your room?” he says softly in her ear sending shivers of love down her spine.

Part Two – Out in the Open

~~-Carly’s bedroom-~~
Carly is now giving AJ a tour of her bedroom.

Carly – “And this is the bed.” She says with a triumphant smile.

AJ – “And what a nice bed it is?” he says, “Is it very soft?”

Carly – “Not very.” She says eyeing the bulge that was beginning to grow below his waistline.

AJ -- “Is it firm?” he asks.

Carly – Slowly eyes AJ allowing her eyes to travel up and down his body stopping along the midline, “I think it’s getting there.” She says softly.

AJ – Walks over to the bed and slowly kneels on it. He moves so that he is over her and pushes her gently down on the bed. He kneeled so he was laying next to her. Looking into her eyes, he gently caressed her cheek before leaning down to kiss her. Pulling away, “I didn’t think I would miss you this much.” He says softly.

Carly – Eyes shining with love, “I didn’t think so either.” She kisses him again, “This is weird.” She laughs slightly, “We weren’t even gone that long. I don’t understand it.”

AJ – Smiles at her and shakes his head, “I don’t either.” He pulls her into a deep and passionate kiss that leaves them both breathless. “All I know,” he begins breathlessly, “is that I love you and don’t want to be without you.”

Carly – “You don’t have to worry about that.” She says gently, “I love you too.” She reaches up and caresses his cheek, “I don’t think that I have ever felt this way about anyone before. Ever.” She says looking away from him.

AJ – Places his hand under her chin and gently turns her head so that she is looking at him, “I loved Dawn.” He says quietly, “Don’t get me wrong. But with you it’s much more than that.” He runs his hand along the side of her face, “With you, you are a part of me. You consume me.”

Carly – With tears in her eyes, “Oh baby, I love you too.” She says as a tear escapes, “I just don’t know how to explain it. I don’t have the right words to explain the way you make me feel AJ. I don’t know what I would do without you sometimes and truthfully I hate that.” She frowns a bit, “But I wouldn’t change that for anything in the world. I need you so much some times that it scares me. What you do to me scares me.” She sighs. “This isn’t coming out right. It makes me sound desperate and clingy. I don’t want to be that. I don’t want you to think...”

AJ – Cuts off her words with a searing kiss, “Shh.” He says softly placing a finger over her lips, which she nips at playfully causing him to smile, “I don’t think that. I know that you are strong; you are one of the strongest, independent people I know. I know what you meant. I can’t explain it either.”

Carly – Nods, “Okay.” She says with a wicked grin, “How but we stop trying to explain it with words and show each other with actions.”

AJ – Looks at her with love, want and desire, “Sounds like a plan to me.” He says before moving so that he is leaning over her. He pulls her into a deep passionate kiss that takes them on a journey to a world all their own and let their love carry them into the ecstasy that their union created.

~~-Beach-~~
Brenda and Sonny are walking along the beach holding hands when Brenda stops and sits down in the sand. Sonny sits behind her and she leans against her.

Sonny – Kisses the top of her head, “How bad did it get?” he asks quietly.

Brenda – “Not as bad as before.” She says softly resting her head on her knees, “I have to tell them what’s going on. They were really worried.” She sighs.

Sonny – “I know. Robin mentioned it to Jason. And AJ said that Carly mentioned something to him.” He moves slightly so he can see her face, “Hey don’t worry about it. They’re just worried. They love you. This won’t change anything.”

Brenda – Nods half-heartedly, “I know that deep down, but I just don’t want to disappoint them.”

Sonny – “That’ll never happen.” He says kissing her gently on the cheek, “Do you want to talk about it?” he asks softly.

Brenda – Shakes her head no, but says, “Yes.” She says her voice slightly unsure.

Sonny – “Whatever you say isn’t going to change how I feel about you. You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to.”

Brenda – “I know. But I can’t really explain what brought it on.” She sighs frustrated; “You know I love you right? I mean do you know how much I love you?” she asks quietly turning her head to look out at the water.

Sonny – “Yes. Just as much as I love you.” He kisses the top of her head, “Tell me what’s going on.”

Brenda – “It’s a lot of things. The depression, me, you, us.”

Sonny – “Me? Us?” he says in disbelief, “I thought things were okay with us. Don’t you know how much I love you.”

Brenda – “Yes Sonny. I know. Or rather I hear you say the words.” She turns so that she is facing him, “Please don’t be mad at me. I just wish that things would be different.”

Sonny – “How? What did I do to make you doubt me?”

Brenda – “Nothing. Absolutely nothing.” She sighs and pushes her hair back out of her face.

Sonny – “I’m confused then.” He says his voice and face relaying his confusion.

Brenda – “It’s a lot of things Sonny. I know you love me. You tell me all the time. You buy me nice things and take me out places. I can’t help and wonder sometimes if that’s all you want me for. A good f*c*.”

Sonny – Looks at Brenda in shock, “Is that really what you think?” he asks quietly.

Brenda – Nods sadly, “Sometimes.” She sighs, “I know that you have to keep things from me and that you want me separate from your other business dealings,” she holds her hand up to stop him from saying anything, “I know that and I understand that. But sometimes it doesn’t feel like I have your whole heart. I wish you could be more open with me. I know that sharing your feelings and things is hard for you. But I can’t help what I want.” She closes her eyes against the tears that threatened to fall, “The depression. It started a while ago I mean I was just down. You know sad, things weren’t going well with work. I was getting frustrated. Trying to deal with that. We were having problems. Robin was still trying to deal with what happened. I needed to be there for her and help her. I’m not blaming her or even you. I just neglected to take better care of myself emotionally, mentally and physically. And then, I just started to think of all I had done and hadn’t done and I got sad and scared. Then I started to think about us. Everything that we have went through and all that we don’t say to each other.”

Sonny – Moves closer to Brenda in the sand and takes her hand, “Look at me Brenda.” He says softly, “I love you with all my heart and soul. You are a part of me. You think that I only share half my heart with you?” he questions her and lets out a frustrated sigh when she nods yes. “Then why am I here? Why have I been going crazy these past few days without you? I know that I don’t show it enough Brenda, but I thought you knew.” He says quietly and looks down at the sand for a moment. He didn’t want her to see the tears in his eyes. Taking a deep breath he looks up at her and locks eyes with her. She is taken aback to see tears in his eyes, “I thought that you knew that I love you. I would do anything for you. All you have to do is ask. I know I have my issues to work out when it comes to allowing others to get close to me. But I thought we were doing better.”

Brenda – Still slightly taken aback by Sonny’s words and his tears, “I thought so too. But then something changed Sonny. I need more than just fancy dinners and shiny gifts. I need more than just words and late night rendezvous.” She looks at him deeply, “I want more from this relationship than that. I know you love me Sonny. I can feel it. You have helped me through so much.” She get quiet, “I wouldn’t be here if you didn’t stop me that night. I owe you my life. I owe you so much. I need you here with me. I need you in my life and I’m scared. What if something happens?” she sighs, “But I’m not really worried about that. My biggest fear is…” she takes a deep breath, “My biggest fear is opening myself up to you completely,” she smiles slightly at the look of confusion on his face, “See I hold back too. I only let you into the safe areas of my life until that night you saved my life. That was my only moment of weakness.” She leans in closer to him, “Sonny I need to know that you will be here for me; That you won’t run or hide or disappear or leave me if I open myself up to you. If I allow you too see all of me.”

Sonny – Moves closer to Brenda until he is holding her in his arms again, “I’m not going anywhere Brenda.” He leans in and kisses her gently but passionately on the lips, “I’m never going to leave you, I love you.” He sighs and pulls back to look at her face. He cups her face with his hands and looks at her deeply, “Don’t you know that I would be lost without you. I don’t think I can breathe without you. Do you know how hard these past few days were without you. I was lost. I was walking around in a daze almost because you weren’t there. You have all my heart and my soul, when you go you take a piece of me with you and I can’t wait for you to get back so I can be whole again.” He leans his forehead against hers and whispers, “Brenda, I love you so much.” He then leans in and kisses her again with all the love, hope, and passion that he had.

Brenda – “I love you too.” She says softly against his lips before pushing him back into the sand and showing him that she was okay and that they would always have each other to be with and get lost in.

~~-Robin’s Bedroom-~~
Robin was resting in Jason’s arms after having just made love.

Jason – “You know that nothing happened with Marie don’t you?” he asked quietly

Robin – “Really?”

Jason – Turns so that he can look at her, “How can you doubt me?” he asked his voice showing his hurt and confusion.

Robin – “I don’t doubt you. I didn’t mean last night.” She says softly, “I meant ever.”

Jason – “Oh.” He says softly, “Ever. I couldn’t be with her or anyone else that way. They weren’t you.” He says softly leaning down to kiss you, “I’m just spoiled that way. I think. I know you. What you like and what you love. How your body responds to mine, how it responds when I kiss you certain places.” He says softly, “Like here.” He says his voice deep with desire before he leans down and places several kisses along her neck and collarbone causing Robin to moan in delight, “I didn’t want to hear anyone else respond that way. I didn’t want to take the time to learn those things about anyone else.” He says and begins to places kisses along her jaw line leading up to her ear and then back down her neck to her collarbone and shoulder. “I just want you. I only want to be with you and know what you want and like and to constantly learn new ways to drive you crazy.”

Robin – “I don’t know what to say to that.” She says breathless from the desire that Jason is stirring within her.

Jason – Looks down at her with hungry eyes, “I love you Robin.” he whispers, “You don’t have to say anything.” He says before capturing her mouth in a deep and sensuous kiss that they both wanted. “All you have to do is let me love you.” He says and looks deeply in her eyes. “Let me love you Robin.” he whispers leaning his head closer to hers, “Please.” He whispers before softly kissing her lips again. Yes. He hears her say quietly against his lips. He pulls back and smiles at her before rolling over so that she was on top of him, “It’s up to you baby. Whatever you want to do.” He says quietly licking his lips at the passion that he feels for her and the heat that is radiating from their bodies.

Robin -- leans down and kisses him deeply before grabbing the protection from the nightstand. “I love you too Jason. And I want you to make love to me.” She says handing him what they needed. “Always.” She says before kissing him again and begins the dance that they had perfected long along with their bodies meshed together as one and sending them both into nirvana that only they could release in each other.

~~~Port Charles~~~
-Morgan Penthouse-

Marie looked at the clock with a smirk, they should be there now she thought. I bet they’re all busy boinking their brains out she laughed bitterly.

She pulled out her cell phone and dialed the number she knew by heart.

Marie – “Dad?…Yeah. I’m in…He won’t know what hit him.” She says with a laugh. “Yes. I’ll be careful…I know Dad.” She rolls her eyes, “Robin Scorpio isn’t to be hurt.” She says evenly before she hangs up.

The Brenda/Sonny thing is what held this chapter up. My debate on whether to include it or not in light of recent news events and recent events in my life. But I decided to do it anyway since I planned this before any of that happened.

Added the Marie part at the last minute. Let me know if you like it. Just wanted to throw a new twist in it.

Still working on Chapter 10. It'll be a happy chapter for the most part before all the fun begins. Let me know what you thought of this, replies inspire me to write.

Chapter 10 – Revelations

Part One – Brenda’s Secret

Brenda sat on the deck in a chair with her knees hugged up to her chest and her chin resting on her knees staring out at the water. She sat thinking about the talk she had with Sonny and the child that they had created. She smiled slightly when she felt him come up behind her.

Brenda – She leaned her head back till she was looking at him, “You’re upside down.” She laughed and patted the chair next to her. She turned to look at him with a smile, “What’s wrong?” she asked looking into his cool blue eyes.

Jason – “Nothing.” He said simply.

Brenda – “Don’t lie to me.” She began, “I know you’re worried about something. Is it Robin? Is she okay?”

Jason – “Robin’s fine.” He sighed, “Well as well as can be expected with everything that’s going on.” He smiled slightly then quickly lost it, “I was actually more worried about you.”

Brenda – “Me?” she asked surprised.

Jason – Nods, “Yeah. Don’t sound so surprised. It’s not like I hate you.” He pauses before adding, “Anymore.”

Brenda – Laughs, “Well the feelings mutual.” She says with another laugh. Seriously, “Why are you worried about me?”

Jason – “Because I can tell something’s been wrong for a while. Robin and Sonny have both been worried about you.”

Brenda – “I’m fine Jase. Nothing to worry about.” She lied.

Jason – Looks at her and gives her his I-know-that-you’re-lying look, “Uh-huh.” He says eyeing her thoughtfully, “What’s wrong?”

Brenda – Changing the subject, “Where’s Robin?”

Jason – “She had a phone call.” He paused, “Quit trying to change the subject.”

Brenda – Sighs in frustration, “I don’t know what to tell you. I’m better than I was but not as good as I could be.”

Jason – Looks out at the water for a moment then turns to face her, the concern evident in his eyes, “Is this about that night?”

Brenda – Nods slightly and says softly, “Yeah.” She sighs, “I’m scared Jason. I don’t want to go back there. It’s too hard to come back from that.”

Jason – Moves closer to her and takes her hand in his, “But you’re doing better.” He says softly, “I’m sorry.”

Brenda – “Why?”

Jason – “Because I know that you’re scared of something and I can’t do anything to help you. I see that you’re trying not to slip back into the depression and there’s nothing I can really do to help you.”

Brenda – “You just being here and willing to listen is helping me.” She laughs slightly. She stands up and stretches before walking to the rail. “I just have some decisions I have to make; Decisions that not only affect me but Sonny also. We talked earlier, you know? Got a few things out in the open. But I’m afraid that I’m going to end up hurting him again.” She sighs, “Or myself.” She adds in a whisper.

Jason – “I wish I knew what to say to help you. But I do know that you’re not alone. Even though you may feel like you are. You aren’t. You have us and Sonny will always be here for you. He loves you.”

Brenda – “I know he does. But I’m just worried that if we do what we talked about, if we really open up to each other, that that love won’t be enough.” She sighs in frustration and looks back out at the water. Robin, Sonny, Carly and AJ enter laughing cutting off any further conversation.

Robin – “Here you two are.” She says hobbling over to Jason and puts her good hand on his shoulder giving it a light squeeze, “I was beginning to worry about you.” She notices the serious looks that they have, “You didn’t get into another argument did you?”

Brenda – Laughs, “Nah. Not this time. We were just having a nice conversation about things.”

Sonny – Comes up and gives Brenda a backwards hug, “Nothing we should be worried about is there?” he says after stepping away and leaning against the rail.

Jason – Gets up and hugs Robin and then kisses the top of her head, “No. Everything’s cool.” He says as he sits back down urging her to sit down with him.

Brenda – Turns around and looks at her friends, she smiled at how happy they looked, she knew what she was about to say would put a damper on the good spirits and sighed. She silently debated whether or not to tell them tonight, but she resolved herself to the fact that no time was a good time to tell them. With another sigh she said, “I know you guys have been worried about me.” She looked around as they all nodded, “I want to tell you that I’m fine, for the most part. But there’s something that I have to tell you. And I hope that you’re not mad at me for keeping this from you. I’m sorry for that.”

Robin – gets a scared look on her face and Jason hugs her from behind tightly concerned because he knew what Brenda was about to say, “What’s wrong Brenda? Are you sick?”

AJ – “I’m sure that I speak for everyone here when I say, there’s nothing for you to be sorry about. So quit apologizing. We love you; nothing that you could do would change that. With love, comes a right to worry about you. I’m sure that you have a good reason for not saying anything”

Brenda – Smiles at him, “Thanks AJ.” She says and then looks at Sonny who grabs her hand and gives it a reassuring squeeze. “There’s no easy way to say this but to just say it.” She sighs and pauses to take a few deep breaths to allow herself to calm down and to gather the strength to tell them. “Almost a year ago,” she begins taking a deep breath before looking up and looking each of them in the eyes. She noticed the worry and concern they held and decided to just say it, beating around the bush wouldn’t easy the blow of the words, neither would just blurting it out, but that’s what she did, “ I tried to kill myself.” She rushed out and closed her eyes in remembrance of that night and to stop the tears. She felt two strong arms come around her to hold her up. She smiled sadly at Sonny who kissed her forehead.

Carly – “Why didn’t you say anything before now?” she asked worriedly.

Brenda – “I don’t know. Ashamed I guess.” She said softly shrugging.

Robin – “Brenda, there’s nothing to be ashamed of. Did you really think that you telling us this would make us stop loving you and caring about you?” she said quietly.

Brenda – Nods, “Yeah I did. A bit.”

AJ – “Is that’s what been bothering you these past few weeks?” he asked afraid of what her answer would be.

Brenda – “Yeah, but not because I’m thinking about doing it again.” She sighs, “Because I’m not. At least not right now, but the thought does come back. Not the I want to kill myself thoughts, but the ones that led me to that place.” She moves away from Sonny and sits on one of the loungers. “I know that you’re confused and probably even more worried about me. But you don’t have to be. I don’t want you to look at me any differently. I don’t want you to handle me with kid gloves. I’m still the same Brenda. I don’t want you to think that you have to put me on suicide watch or anything. Or that you can’t treat me like before you knew.”

AJ, Carly, Robin – “Okay.”

Brenda – “I knew this was a bad idea.” She says quietly.

Jason – “No it wasn’t. It’s good that we all know now. That way you don’t have to feel like you have to hide whenever you get depressed. We can be there to listen to you. You don’t have to feel like you’re alone cause you’re not. If you let us, we can help you and be there for you when you need us to be.”

Sonny – “Sweetheart. I may never fully understand led you to that point. And I try and accept that. But all I do know is what that night did to me.” He goes over and kneels down in front of her, “I love you baby more than anything. And that night, when I walked into the penthouse and saw you sitting there like that, I know I have never been so afraid of anything in my life.” He says with a slight sad and bitter laugh, “I face life and death situations daily. I have control of those things, those situations that occur. I can fix them, but this I can’t. All I can do is listen, that’s all I can really do and I hate it. I hate that you get this way and I can’t stop it or do anything to change it. I have no control in this, and that scares me; and all I know is that we will always be here for you. Me especially. I can’t lose you Bren. I need you to be here. Here in my life. I love you.” The last sentence he says softly so that only she hears it.

Brenda – Touches the side of his face, “I know that. I know how scared you were when you came in and saw me there. I didn’t want to put you through that. I was going to be gone before you got home but you came home early.”

Robin – “Well I’m glad for whatever got Sonny home early that night.” She says and walks slowly over to Brenda careful not to put to much pressure on her ankle, “Bren. I don’t know what I would have done if you hadn’t been here this past year to help me get through everything. I would be so lost if you weren’t here. You’re like a sister to me Bren. You are my sister. I love you and I don’t want to lose you.” She hugs Brenda tightly. “I’m glad that you didn’t go through with it. I’m glad that you’re here.”

Brenda – “A lot of things brought me to that night.” She said, “ I just hope that this doesn’t change anything between all of us.”

Jason – “I don’t think it does or that it will.”

AJ – “I agree with Jase. We still love you.” He says with a smile. “And we’re glad that you’re okay.”

Carly – “Yeah.” She goes up to Brenda and says softly, “I’m sorry that you had to go through this at all. I just want you to know that if you want or need to talk I’m here for you.”

Brenda – “Thanks.” She said with a smile as she gets up and hugs Carly. She looks at her friends with a smile. That wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be she thinks. “Well I think it’s time for us to eat.”

Part Two -- Surprises

Since it was a nice night out they decide to eat outside on the deck.

The girls planned to tell their news to the guys after dinner during dessert since Robin had gotten the call from the doctor confirming the test that they had taken earlier was indeed correct.

The girls nervously wheeled the cart with the cake on it out. The cake is underneath ceramic cake platter. They looked at each other and then each took a deep breath before calling the guys over.

Carly – fiddling with a button on the sleeve of her shirt, “We wanted to do something nice for you to show you how much you mean to us.”

Brenda – Takes a deep breath, “So we had this cake made especially for you.”

Robin – Who is standing on one leg between Carly and Brenda, puts her hand on the handle of the platter that is covering the cake, “So without further ado, here it is.” She says lifting the cover off the cake.

We see a sheet cake with white icing and the words Happy Father’s Day in pink and AJ, Jason, and Sonny in blue.

The guys stare at the cake and then each other with their mouths open. They look at the ladies in shock. Sonny is the first one to find his voice.

Sonny – “But it’s not Father’s Day.” he said confused.

Robin -- who has just drunk some water, chokes on the water as it goes down the wrong pipe. She is coughing to cover her laughs.

Carly – “Are you okay Robin?” she asks looking at her with a smile. Robin gives her a quick nod and a reassuring look to Jason. She knew what made Robin choke. “He’s really bright isn’t he.” She whispers to Brenda with a wink. Brenda shoots her a mock glare and bites her bottom lip to keep from laughing.

Jason – “What does that mean?” he asked in confused shock.

AJ – “Yeah. Who is it for?” he asks equally confused.

Sonny – “Did you ladies get a deal on an old cake?” he asked still confused.

Robin, Carly and Brenda looked at the guys in shock and then looked at each other. At that, they started laughing.

Carly – “No. You’re just full of clever observations tonight aren’t you Sonny.” She says sarcastically with a grin.

AJ -- “Um, Who is the cake for?”

Robin – “You.” She simply states.

AJ – “Me?” he says surprised “Or Sonny?” he asks, “Or Jason?”

Brenda – “Yeah.”

Sonny – “I’m confused. Which one is it.”

Carly – “You.” She says simply as if the answer is obvious.

Jason – “We’re missing something here.”

Brenda – “I don’t see how. It’s really very simple you see.” She says matter-of-factly.

Jason – “But which one of us does it apply to?” he asks still confused.

AJ – “Yeah. Who is it for?”

Robin – Rolls her eyes, “I don’t believe this.” She says in amusement.

Brenda – “Me either. I don’t think that it’s that hard to figure out.”

Carly – “Yeah. But we know the answer.”

Robin – “True. But I thought we made it pretty obvious.” She says with a smile.

Sonny – “Okay. Enough. Just tell us which one it is?”

Carly – “What makes you think it’s just one of you?” she says innocently.

Jason – “I think I better sit down for this.” He says and goes to sit in one of the lounge chairs.

Brenda – “I think that’s a good idea.” She pauses as if to think for a moment, “Maybe you all should sit down.” She says and waits for AJ and Sonny to find seats.

The ladies each go to stand in front of one of the guys. Carly stands in front of Jason, Brenda in front of AJ and Robin in front of Sonny.

Brenda, Carly, and Robin – Looking at the person they’re standing in front of in the eyes, they say in unison, “You’re going to be a dad.” They say with a smile and then go to stand in front of their own man. Also in unison, they say, “I’m pregnant.”

Sonny – “Wha… Wha…What?” he stammers.

AJ – “How? I mean I know how but How?” he says stumbling over his words.

Jason – Addressing mostly Robin, “Are you sure?” he asks. When he sees them nod he thinks for a moment and just looks at them curiously before bursting out laughing, “Oh brother.” He manages to say still laughing.

AJ – “So. You mean to tell me. All three of you are pregnant?” he asks cautiously.

Sonny – Still in shock, “At the same time. You’re going to have a baby. We’re going to be fathers. You’re going to be mothers.”

Carly – Rolls her eyes at her brother in amusement, “That generally what I’m pregnant means Sonny.” She says with a laugh.

Sonny – “No s*** Sherlock.” He says with a slight laugh, “Forgive me if I’m just a bit overwhelmed at the moment.”

Jason – “This is not news we expected to hear. Ever.” He begins, “Well, not at the same time at least.” He clarifies.

Robin – Looks at him, her eyes unsure, “So you’re okay with this. You’re not mad.”

Jason – Gets up and goes to Robin, “Why would I be mad?” he says with a huge grin on his face, “I love you and you just made me the happiest man on earth.”

Sonny – “One of the happiest.” He says interrupting. Getting up and hugging Brenda tightly before kissing her deeply.

Jason – “One of the happiest.” He says with a smile before he bends down and kisses Robin gently on the lips, “Why were you afraid that I wouldn’t be happy?”

Robin – “Because of what this means.” She asks going over to the railing and leaning against it.

Jason – “What does this mean? Besides the fact that you’re carrying our child and I love you. Nothing else is important to me.” He says and kisses the top of her head hugging her tightly to him.

Robin – Pulls back a bit, “You know we have other things that we have to worry about.”

Jason – Nods solemnly, “I know.” He says quietly. The others watch them interact. They knew Robin would have a hard time dealing with this; it was one of her biggest fears, infecting Jason. They vowed to be there for her in any way that they could.

Robin – Her voice a whisper, “You have to be tested again Jason. I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.” She says her voice cracking.

Jason – “I will and that’s never been a problem for me. I love you Robin.” he leans down and whispers in her ear, “Please don’t worry about that right now baby. Please don’t cry.” He says softly his voice full of emotion, “Everything is going to be okay.”

Robin – “I almost believe you when you say that.” She says with a half smile.

Jason – Kisses her gently, “Believe me.” He says softly, “This is a good thing.”

Robin – Looks at her friends sadly, “I’m sorry for bringing everyone down.”

AJ – “You didn’t bring us down. I don’t think that it has sunk in yet.” He says, “When did you all find out?”

Brenda – “We suspected last night. But we just found out for sure a few hours ago.”

Sonny – “What made you suspect that you were all pregnant? Did it happen all at once or one at a time?” he asks curiously hugging Brenda closer to him.

Carly – “Robin and I had no clue. If you had told us this was going to happen we would have said that you were crazy. We had absolutely no idea…” she says beginning to ramble.

Jason – “Carly?” he says.

AJ – “Honey. What’s wrong?” he says from his spot next to her.

Carly – The fact that she’s not only pregnant again but her two best friends as well is beginning to hit her, “Huh?” she asks confused. She shakes her head a bit to clear it, “Where was I?” she pauses to think for a moment. “Robin and I had no clue, we just took the test so that Brenda wouldn’t feel alone.” She says sending down on the lounge chair that was behind her. She sits down and wraps her arms around her waist thinking.

Brenda – “Yeah. They just wanted to help me out.”

Sonny – “So you suspected first?” he asks Brenda.

Brenda – Nods sadly, “I’m sorry that I didn’t say anything. There was just so much going on with everything else that I was trying to deal with that I didn’t really think about it again until we were up here.”

Sonny – Nods in understanding, “Oh. Uh-huh.” He says and kisses her gently on the lips, “I just wish you would have told me that you thought you might be pregnant.” He says and hugs her to him.

Brenda – “I haven’t really suspected for that long. And I didn’t want to say anything before I was absolutely positive.” She looks curiously over Sonny’s shoulder at Carly who was sitting in the same chair and position as before but now she was rocking slightly. “Carly?” she called concerned stepping out of Sonny’s embrace and causing everyone to look at Carly except for AJ who had been watching Carly concerned as she became lost in her own memories.

Carly – looked up at the sound of her name. Her eyes were filled with tears looking lost, hopeless and scared. Getting up she heads towards the steps, which lead down to the beach, “Excuse me.” She says in a soft voice without looking back before she heads down the beach.

Sonny – Making a move towards the steps in his overprotective brother mode says, “I’ll go talk to her.”

AJ – Moves next to Sonny and stops him on the steps with a hand on his arm, “No.” he says firmly but his voice betraying slightly his concern for his fiancée, “No. It’s me she needs right now.” He says before going down the steps and heading down the beach to catch up with Carly

This is strickly AJ and Carly. I wanted a good scene between the two of them and I hadn't written one in awhile.

Part Three – Memories from the Past

AJ caught up with Carly down the beach and pulled her to him in a tight, firm embrace. She struggled against him for a bit before she relaxed in his arms and let the tears come. He held her closely whispering tender words in her ears and gently rubbing her back. A barrage of phrases such as, “Its okay baby” and “I love you Carly” and “It’s gonna be okay” as well as “There’s nothing to be afraid of Carly” and “It wasn’t your fault baby” was whispered in her ear over and over again until the tears stopped.

Carly – Sinking down into the sand and tracing lines with her fingertips avoided looking into AJ’s eyes, “I’m sorry baby.” She said softly her voice breaking on unshed tears. “That was selfish of me.”

AJ – “Carly,” he says sitting down beside her and gently lifting her face so that she is looking at him. She is not surprised to see the tears silently rolling down his face, “It’s okay to be selfish. Especially when it comes to this. I understand. There’s nothing wrong with being a little selfish now and again.”

Carly – Stares into his eyes, “I know but I’m sorry. I know you’re feeling the same thing too.” She sighs and turns to look at the water. “I can’t help it though. I miss him so much.”

AJ – Pulls Carly back into his arms and kisses the top of her head, “I know sweetheart. I do too.” He gently pulls away and caresses her face, “I wish that I could wave a magic wand and make all your pain go away.”

Carly – Reaches up and touches his face and brushes a tear away with her thumb, “But who takes your pain away?” she asks softly.

AJ – “Don’t you know that being here with you like this. Holding you like this, makes everything better for me.” He takes a deep breath and slowly exhales through his mouth before saying, “I love you so much Carly. But it hurt when Michael died. I was angry and hurt and alone. Even though you were there with me you weren’t there. I didn’t handle things the best way.” He sighs and closes his eyes for a second against the tears, “I screwed up. I should have been turning to you instead of away from you. I’m the one who should be sorry. I’m sorry for being there with you in physical form only. I’m sorry for leaving you to deal with this on your own emotionally and mentally instead of talking to you about it.” He swallows against the lump in his throat that had formed, “I’m sorry for everything that happened during that time, but I am grateful that you were able to forgive me and love me again.”

Carly – “There’s nothing to forgive baby. I know what you were going through and I was just as much as fault as you were. I should have turned to you instead of my brother. I’m the one that’s sorry for leaving you alone to deal with things on your own.” She says with a sad sigh as the tears begin to fall again.

AJ – “Please don’t cry baby. Don’t cry.” He says as he pulls her close to him and rocks her gently in his arms, “You will never have anything to apologize to me about. Ever. You carried him inside of you for nine months. You were the one that nurtured him inside of you. He was a part of you…” his voice breaks and he allows his own tears to flow freely.

Carly – “He was a part of you too sweetheart. I carried him but you put him there. There would have been no Michael without you.” She wipes a few of his tears away. “God AJ. It still hurts so much. Everyone says it’ll get easier with time. Time heals. I’m not sure I believe that anymore. I’m not sure I even want too.” She places a hand on her stomach, “And this baby. What if I destroy him or her too?” She says pulling away, getting up and walking away.

AJ – Runs after Carly and catches her he holds his hands on her forearms loosely. He looks at her until she looks up at him, “I know honey. I know how you feel. It seems wrong to go on, doesn’t it.” He asks softly and he sees her nod, “It seems like a slam to Michael?” he asks and she nods yes again, “But it isn’t. It took me a long time to realize that. Carly our baby boy lived for two days and he was already the world to me. He meant, means the world to me still. Besides you, he is the only one who has captured my heart so fully, so quickly. And I already love this child, our child that is growing inside you right now.” He smiles sadly at her and places his hand on her abdomen, to which she places her own hand over his, “It’s okay to go on. We have to. That’s what Michael would have wanted. Our baby boy was a fighter for those two days and he would be happy for us now, about the baby. I sense it. I can feel it. I feel him everyday when I look at you. I feel him here.” He says and places his other hand over her heart and she copies the movement with her other free hand. “I love you so much Carly. That will never change. And Michael’s birth defect wasn’t your fault and it wasn’t mine either. It took me awhile to get to be able to say that. To not blame myself and believe it. But never once, never did I ever blame you baby. Your pregnancy was as stress free and perfect as it could be. What happened wasn’t your fault. Please don’t think that. I understand you want to hold on to Michael and we will. With our love and the few memories that we created with him before he was born and when he was born.” He drops his hands from her and pulls her too him. “Everything is going to be okay.” He whispers into her hair.

Carly – Steps back and looks at him, “I almost believe you when you say that.” She says with a sigh, “I know somewhere inside me that neither you or I am the blame. But it still hurts AJ. It hurts. But I know I have to move on. I just don’t want to forget him. It hurts so much still.”

AJ – “I know baby. I know it hurts.” He says pulling her too him again, he speaks with a quiet but strong voice, “I know it hurts because I still hurt too. And you aren’t going to forget him Carly. I won’t let you and you won’t let me okay.” He asks and pulls back as he waits for her to nod before he continues. He gently grabs both her hands in his, “Please let me help you with this Carly. Let me in. Lean on me.” He says with sincerity, “I won’t let you down. I promise. I’ll always be here for you. When you need me and even when you don’t.” he takes a step towards her and gently kisses her on the lips, “You don’t have to be afraid anymore. I’m here.” He says, “I love you and I’m here. There’s nothing more to be afraid off. Don’t run from me, let me help you, let me love you.” He says gently looking deeply into her eyes.

Carly – “I’ll try AJ.” She says and kisses him on the lips gently, “I’ll try but I’m scared.” She hugs him now and whispers in his ear, “I don’t want to be scared anymore baby. Help me.” She says and leans her head on his shoulder. “Please.”

AJ leans his head down and rests it on hers and stands and holds her close to him as she holds him close to her. Each trying to bring comfort and peace to each other; And each succeeding in finally breaking down the rest of the barrier that had surrounded their hearts. They stayed like that for a long time, lost in the comfort that only the other could give. And finally a little more free-er than when they had first arrived.

I normally wouldn't just have a kid die but I had to for the story to work. For those who have read from the beginning, I mentioned Michael in the prologue.

In this version he died from his heart defect. I hope this doesn't turn you off from the story. I promise no more kids will die in this story from this point on.

Chapter 11 will be happy for the most part. Girl talk, Rick and Holly arrive and maybe Mac.

Chapter 11 – Good Times

Part One – Girl Talk

Carly, Brenda and Robin were sitting around the pool lounging. AJ was inside making some phone calls, while Sonny was going over security with Daniel/Duke, and Jason was in the pool swimming.

Carly – Turning her head towards Robin, “So when do you go to the doctor again?”” she asked.

Robin – “Later today. I have a meeting with Daniel first and then Jason is taking me to my appointment.” She watches as he glides through the water smoothly, “He made me an appointment with Dr. Meadows and Alan for when we get back.”

Brenda – “Yeah.” She laughs slightly, “Sonny did the same thing. Well not with Alan but with Dr. Meadows.”

Carly – “I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s not one of the calls that AJ is making right now.” She says laughing at well, “I just hope that one of those calls isn’t to Edward.”

Robin – “Yeah. He’d probably set up a trust fund already and set aside stocks of ELQ.”
She smirks, “We’re holding off telling the family. Lila and Em will know but no one else until we’re ready.”

Brenda – “That’s probably the smart thing to do.” She laughs.
Robin – “This is going to be something.” She says putting a hand on her stomach, “The three of us pregnant at the same time.” She smiles at her friends. With a laugh, “I don’t know what’s worse the three of us pregnant at the same time or Edward when he realizes that there will be two Quartermaine’s born at relatively the same time.” She laughs.

Carly – “Yeah. It couldn’t have worked out better if we planned it.” She says with a smile, “Though I don’t know how we could.” She sighs and gets serious for a second, “I wanted to thank you for that. I’m not sure I could handle this again alone.”

Brenda – Grabs Carly hand, “You are not alone.” She says with a smile, “That’s my niece or nephew you’re carrying. Sort of anyway.” She says with a smile. “I plan to do some major spoiling of this baby and Robin’s too.”

Carly – Smiles slightly, “Thanks. I needed to hear that.” She takes a deep breath and slowly exhales, “I think I might make an appointment to see Kevin or Gail. AJ agreed to go with me to some also. I think it would help.”

Brenda – “Me too. I have to get a handle on all this before this baby comes. I was thinking the same thing.”

Robin – Looking at her friends closely, “Kevin is great to talk to. He is a really good listener.” She says with a slight smile. They knew she saw Kevin occasionally to talk about the HIV and life in general. She turns and watches Jason swim a bit more. She smiles when she sees him pause and smile at her before going back to swim. She has a goofy grin on her face.

Carly – Sees the look on Robin’s face and smiles, “What is that look for?”

Brenda – Noticing the look on Robin’s face and laughs, “You have that same look Carly. I’ve seen it before.”

Robin – Confused, “What look?”

Brenda – With a smile, “The I-can’t-believe-this-incredibly-sexy-Greek-God-looking man is mine look.” She laughs, “Though Carly’s is more of a My fiancé is this gorgeous, sexy man who has an amazing body, great smile, as well as rich, handsome, smart, and gorgeous eyes. And really nice, big hands…” She says letting her voice trail off.

Robin – Mock anger and jealousy, “And what do you know about my, and I quote, ‘incredibly sexy, Greek God looking, amazing in bed man.”

Brenda – “I never said he was amazing in bed.” She laughs, “I wouldn’t know about that but I’ll just have to take your word for it.”

Robin – “That would be best. Beside we wouldn’t want your sexy Cuban, wonderful Italian food cooking, fantastic chef, too die for dimple having, smart, irresistible man getting jealous now would we.” She laughs at the look on Carly’s face, “I know he’s your brother Car. But don’t sit there and try to tell me that you haven’t noticed.”

Carly – Makes a gagging sound and scrunches up her face, “That’s just disgusting.” She says with mock horror. With a mischievous grin she says, “And even if I have or had noticed, which I’m neither confirming or denying, it would be improper of me to mention.”

Brenda – Laughs loudly at this, “Since when has propriety mattered to you.”

Carly – “It doesn’t but it sounded good didn’t it.” She laughs.

Robin – “Boy you had me worried for a minute there. I thought we were about to lose our partner in crime and shopping over to the side of all that’s good and righteous.” She laughs, “I’ve been there. And believe me it wasn’t pretty or fun.”

Carly – “Never happen.” She says with a laugh. “Now let’s get back to this description of AJ and his hands. Brenda?”

Brenda – Pretending innocence, “Well. I just meant that he had these nice, big hands. You know?” she smiles, “Perfect for holding things.”

Carly – Blushing slightly, “Well. All I can say is that his hands aren’t the only big part of his anatomy.”

Robin – “Must run in the family.”

Brenda and Carly – Look at Robin in mock shock, “Robin!?!”

Robin – looks innocently at her friends, “What?” she smiles, “I was talking about his heart. Jason has a really big” she pauses, “Heart.”

Carly – “Sure. That’s what you meant. And AJ has green eyes.” She laughs.

Brenda – “Too bad there’s no Quartermaine brother’s left.” She says then pauses, “But Sonny has a huge heart also.”

Robin – “You guys have the dirtiest minds,” she laughs, “I was talking about the gorgeous eyes.” At that statement the ladies all look at each other and bust out laughing, When she regains control of her laughter, “Ok. Maybe not.” She says with a smirk as she watches Jason get out of the pool and start towards her. She grabs a towel and walks over to him with a smile. “Have a nice swim?” she asks leaning up to give him a kiss.

Jason – Smiles and then grabs her and pulls her in for a deep kiss. Pulling back he looks at her with a smirk, “I’m sorry. Now I got you wet.”

Robin – Looks at him with a smile, “Well I guess this means that you’re going to be the one drying me off then.”

Jason – “Oh you betcha.” He says with a laugh as he picks her up and carries her back to their room. Only stopping long enough to say hi and bye to Carly and Brenda.

Part Two – Uncle Duke

Due to their detour upstairs, Robin wasn’t able to meet with Duke until after her doctor’s appointment.

Duke – “So how did things go at the doctor’s?” he asked concerned.

Robin – With a huge grin, “Fine. Just fine.”

Duke – “So, I take it you got good news then.” He said curiously.

Robin – Nods, “Yeah. I did.” She says with a smile she steps closer to him, “Congratulations Uncle Duke. You’re going to be an uncle.”

Duke – Lets out a loud whoop and grabs Robin and spins her around in a hug, “Robin. That’s so great. I’m so happy for you.” He says with a smile.

Robin – “I know it’s unbelievable isn’t it.” She says with a sigh.

Duke – “What’s wrong? Why aren’t you happy?”

Robin – “There’s too much at risk. There’s too much going on.” She sighs and flops down in a chair in Duke’s office, “We have to deal with Faison. Mom and Dad may be alive. Those d*** pictures of A.D.” she purses her lips in a frown, “And that’s only things related to the past.” She gets up and begins to pace, “There’s also my HIV to deal with. What if I pass it on to my child? What if I gave it to Jason?” she stops pacing and turns to face Duke with tears in her eyes, “What if I subjected my baby to a death sentence? What if I gave him or her something that could destroy their life before it even begins? What if I gave the man that I love and count on for so much this dreaded disease? What if I made him damaged like me?”

Duke – pulls Robin in a hug, “Ssh.” He says softly, “No more what ifs. They can drive you crazy.” He says softly pulling back, “Believe me. I have my own what ifs but I can’t let them rule or overtake me. And you can’t either.” He hugs her again; “The best thing to do is to talk to Jason about it. If anyone can help you is him. I can tell by the way he looks at you that he loves you very much. Almost as much as I love your mother.”

Robin – “I love him too.” She says her voice strong. In the way it always was when she spoke about her love for Jason. “I know he loves me. I’m just afraid that I’ve hurt him.” She sighs sitting back down on the couch, “But you’re right. I should talk to him. And the first thing he would probably say is that, it’s his choice to make and his risk to take to be with me.”

Duke – Sits back behind his desk and sighs, he watches Robin for a moment before beginning, “I know that you have a lot on your plate but we have some things that we need to discuss.” He waits for her nod before he continues, “Rick and Holly have some new information that they want to discuss with us and they will be here either later tonight or early tomorrow.” He pauses for a brief moment, “Robin have you talked to Mac lately?”

Robin – Begins to get anxious, “No. Why? Is he okay? Nothing happened did it.” She asks in a rush trying not to panic.

Duke – “No. And I’m sorry to worry you but I think that he needs to be here for this.”

Robin – “I’m not ready to deal with him just yet but I’ll think about it.” She says resigned. She looks at the clock, “I hate to cut this short but I promised Jason that we would have a nice quiet dinner together.” She says with a smile. She walks around his desk and gives him a hug and kiss on the cheek, “Thanks.”

This is a bit long. All three parts are here. And it doesn't have everything I wanted to include. Like Sonny/AJ, Sonny/Carly and Sonny/Robin as well as a few other character mixes. The mixes will go up when I add in the other Scorpios. Trying to make this more rounded in the characters. But it is still mostly, Scorpios and J&R.

Part Three -- Resolutions

Part 3a – Sister Connection

Carly was sitting on the balcony overlooking the beach when Brenda came in.

Brenda – “I can leave if you want to be alone.” She sat down when Carly shook her head no.

Carly – “Stay.” She says softly.

Brenda – “I’m sorry.” She says quietly.

Carly – Turns and looks at Brenda stunned, “Why?” she asks curious.

Brenda – “Because I brought back some painful memories for you. I wasn’t thinking about you or what happened when I told you guys about me. And I’m sorry.” She pause a moment before continuing, “I should have found a better way to tell you. Maybe before I told them. Alone. I don’t know.” She says slightly frustrated.

Carly – “That’s only part of the reason I’m sad.” She sighs, “And it’s not your fault. Or anybody’s really. I wish I could point a finger at someone and say, It’s your fault. You did this. But unfortunately I can’t.”
Brenda – “Sometimes I wish I did live in a fairytale. Then I would have a fairy godmother or a magic wand to wave and make everything better for everyone. Take all the pain away. The hurt, but I can’t. And that’s what I’m sorry for the most. I can’t do anything to change what happened to you. Or to me. And speaking strictly for me, I’m not even sure I want to.”

Carly – “Why?” she asks quietly studying Brenda’s face, “Why didn’t you say anything to me?”

Brenda – “I was trying to be unselfish for a change. I was trying to think of someone else besides me. You were still dealing with losing Michael; it was too fresh for you. And Robin had her own things to deal with. I didn’t want to add to your problems.” She tilts her head to the side, thinking, “I wanted to deal with it on my own.”

Carly – “Don’t you realize how much more pain we would have been in if you had done it.” She asks quietly.

Brenda – Thinks for a second, “No. I didn’t realize that then. I didn’t think about it really. I knew I wanted to do it and I didn’t want Sonny to find me. So I guess in a way, I did think about it but I didn’t care really.” She laughs bitterly, “It’s funny. I was trying to be so unselfish and here I was about to do something really selfish.” She pauses and takes a few deep breaths, “I’m so sorry Carly. I just wanted the pain to go away.” She says softly tears pooling in her eyes.

Carly – Who also has tears in her eyes, “I understand.” She says in a whisper, “I wanted to do it too. So much. So much.” She repeats quietly, “After Michael died, I was lost. I didn’t have anyone to turn to. Nobody understood. Sonny did in a way, but not really. AJ did, but I didn’t want to add to his troubles.” She sighs, “I was being selfish too. I held it all inside until it festered and made me sick.” She pauses, “I almost did it too. I wanted to but I was too afraid too. I knew how disappointed AJ would be. He would be hurt, and that’s the last thing I wanted to do.” She takes a deep breath, “That’s the only thing that stopped me.”

Brenda – “I understand.” She says wiping a few tears away. It had been Sonny who had stopped her too. Both literally and figuratively, “Boy do I understand.” She says with a sigh. She reaches out and grabs Carly hands and gives it a light, reassuring squeeze, “Everything is going to be okay. We just have to remember that we aren’t alone.”

Carly nods her head in agreement and squeezes Brenda’s hand back in reassurance. Maybe things were beginning to look up, maybe things were getting better.

Part 3b – Brotherly Love

Jason was sitting on the deck leaning back in a chair with his eyes closed when AJ came out.

AJ – “I’m sorry.” He says, “I was looking for Carly.”

Jason – “She’s over there.” Opening his eyes, he points to the direction of the balcony.
He then closes his eyes with a soft sigh.

AJ – “Thanks.” He says and turns to walk away. He stops at the door, “Hey Jase.” He calls. Jason opens his eyes and looks at him, his eyes asking him what he wanted. “Is everything okay?”

Jason – “Yeah. As well as can be expected.”

AJ – Walks back onto the deck and takes the seat next to Jason, he turns to face him, “I don’t want to bother you. But I can listen if you want to talk about it.”

Jason – Studies his brother for a second, “There’s nothing really to discuss AJ.” He pauses, “There’s nothing that you can do to help.” He begins and decides to clarify his statement when he sees the hurt look come over AJ’s face, “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean that the way it sounded. I’m not trying to shut you out.” He sighs in frustration, “H**l there’s nothing that I can do really.”

AJ – “Is this about Robin?” he asks quietly, “She’s not sick is she. The pregnancy won’t affect her HIV will it.”

Jason – “It’s not the HIV. I wish it were that. I can handle that. I know what to do when she gets sick from her meds. When she doesn’t feel well or is tired. There’s nothing I can do about this.” He pauses and thinks for a moment. You can see the worry in his clear blue eyes, “Have you ever had the feeling that something bad was about to happen? A feeling that you couldn’t shake?”

AJ – “Yeah. The day that Michael died.” He says and pauses for a moment, thinking about his son. “Is it the organization? Are you in danger?”

Jason – Laughs bitterly, “I wish it were that. I know how to handle threats to Robin from the organization. That’s easy, I just eliminate them. But this doesn’t have to do with that. And no I’m not in danger, no more than usual anyway.” He sighs in frustration again, “I want to protect her but I have a feeling that I won’t be able to.” He says and gets up and goes to the railing and looks out at the water for a moment, lost in memories. With his back to AJ, he begins to talk again, “If anything happened to Robin or our baby I would die. She’s scared about the pregnancy and the HIV. And I am too, but not for the reason she or anyone else may think. If it turns out our baby is HIV positive AJ, I can deal with that. But I can’t deal with losing her. Robin means the world to me and it hurts knowing that she is so scared right now. Too scared to even enjoy the pregnancy. She puts up a good front for others and she is happy to a degree but she is still worrying in the back of her mind and that is keeping her from enjoying this.” He turns to AJ, tears in his eyes, “My God AJ, Robin’s pregnant. With my child. That’s amazing. It’s a miracle. All the precaution and safety we take. We still created a child.” He says with a half smile. “I love her so much. And I know that women with HIV carry babies to term and deliver all the time and their babies are born without HIV. But it is still risky. She has a lot working in her favor, but I can’t lose her AJ.” He says and the tears start to flow.

AJ -- gets up immediately and hugs Jason to him, tears in his own eyes. “It’s going to be okay Jase.” He says quietly, “Robin will be fine. And so will your baby. Nothing is going to happen to either one of them. Robin loves you just as much as you love her. I’ve seen it. So don’t worry.” He says softly holding on tightly to his brother. He holds on hoping that he was able to give a little bit of his strength to Jason, to help him. “Everything is going to be okay. It’s going to be okay Jase. Trust me. Everything is going to work out as it should.” He says and pulls back to look at his brother. It pained him to see the look of pain, confusion and helplessness in Jason’s eyes. “I know that it doesn’t mean much me saying this. But I really believe that everything will work out. Robin is going to be fine. You guys have been through so much to get to this point. I mean you’re getting married, you’re having a baby. Try and be happy and not worry so much.” He laughs slightly, “I never thought that this day would come.”

Jason – Smiles, “Yeah me either. We’re standing here talking and not at each other throats. We’re both engaged to wonderful women and about to be fathers.” He says.

AJ – “I was talking about us not fighting and you letting me in to help you. I hope I did help.”

Jason – looks at his brother and smiles a genuine smile at him, “You did AJ. Probably more than you realize. And thanks for listening. I’ll try not to worry to much about this but I can’t shake this feeling.” He pauses, “And I always worry about Robin’s HIV and how it affects her, I can’t help it. It’s the one thing that I can’t control.” He sighs, “I hate not having control.”

AJ – Looks at his brother a moment, “I know you worry about Robin and the HIV. We all do. And we’re here to help in any way that we can. Just know Jase,” he says pausing, “That I’m here if you ever want or need to talk. You can come to me.” He says and starts to walk away. Pausing he turns back and says, “I’m just gonna leave you alone now.”

Jason – “AJ?” he calls, “Thanks for everything big brother. And the same goes, if you ever want to talk.” He says leaving the invitation on the end open. AJ smiles and nods and goes back inside.

Part 3c – Heart to Heart

~~ Robin’s Room ~~

When Jason got back to the room, Robin was already asleep. He had stayed out on the deck for a while longer thinking and remembering. He sat down in her desk chair and leaned back against the desk and watched her sleep. She looked so beautiful to him, so peaceful. He wished her face could always have that calm look on her face. About fourty-five minutes later she began to stir.

Robin – reaching over for Jason, she slowly opened her eyes when she realized he wasn’t beside her. She remembered that he hadn’t fallen asleep with her and sat up with a start. A slow smile crept across her face when she saw him sitting there watching her. She notices the worried look he has and quickly gets out of bed to go to him. “Hey.” She says softly touching the side of is face, “What’s wrong?”

Jason – doesn’t respond at first he just pulls her into his lap and hugs her close to him burying his face in her hair. He loved her hair and was glad that she had let it grow long again. “Nothing now.” He says quietly.

Robin – Pulls back and looks at him for a second, she tilts her head to the side and says, “Okay. Now do you want to tell me the truth?”

Jason – allows a small smile to escape, he knew that she could tell he was holding something back, “It’s nothing really.” He says trying to convince himself as well as her. He shakes his head at the disbelieving look on her face. He pats her leg so she can let him up. He goes and stands by the window and says, “I’m scared Robin.”

Robin – Goes over to him and pulls him to sit on the bed beside her, “Of what?” she says curiously. Immediately thinking of ways to take away whatever is scaring Jason and trying not to let her imagination run wild.

Jason – Gently takes her hand, “I’m scared of losing you.” He pauses and takes a deep breath, “You mean so much to me Robin. You are my world.” He says softly letting go of her hand and cupping her face with his hands. “Those few days I spent without you were like torture. I couldn’t sleep and I barely ate. At one point, I thought Sonny was gonna have Johnny or Francis shoot me. That’s how bad it got. I couldn’t even concentrate.” He drops his hands from her face and smiles slightly at the amusement on her face, “Don’t laugh.”

Robin – Trying not to laugh, “I’m not laughing at you honey.” He gives her a disbelieving look, “Okay maybe I was, just a little. I’m sure you’re exaggerating about Sonny having Johnny or Francis shoot you.” She pauses, “They wouldn’t do that anyway. They would have me to answer to then.”

Jason – Smiles at her statement and leans in to kiss her, “I love you.”

Robin – Smiling, “I love you too.” She pauses and gets more serious, “What makes you think that I’m going anywhere? You don’t have to worry about losing me baby? I would never leave you.”

Jason – “I know you want to believe that but we don’t have a guarantee of that.” He sighs, “At some point you are going to have to leave. You have this psycho, Cesar Faison chasing after you, and there’s no telling what he might do.”

Robin – “I know. But he wouldn’t hurt me. Not psychically anyway.” He looks at her curiously, “He wouldn’t hurt me because of mom. If she’s alive then him doing something to hurt me would upset her and he would never do anything that would upset mom. He’s obsessed with her.” She sighs, “There’s something else you should know.”

Jason – “Okay.”

Robin – “First, Rick and Holly should probably be here tomorrow sometime. She got the pictures on A.D. And Daniel should have the diagnostics on my bike back also.” She pauses and takes a deep breath, “And Daniel’s real name isn’t Daniel Lund. It’s Duke. Duke Lavery.”

Jason – “I know.”

Robin – “How?”

Jason – “Besides the fact that he favors him a bit, you called him Duke earlier this morning, when you called to tell him you would have to reschedule your meeting.”

Robin – “I forgot about that.” She pauses and asks hesitantly, “So you’re not mad.”

Jason – “Disappointed that you felt you had to keep this from me, but mad no. I understand. You did it as much to protect him as you did to protect yourself and me.”

Robin – Nods, “Good.” She says letting out a sigh of relief, “And don’t worry. I can handle Faison.” She sees the look on his face, “I can. I mean the worse he would do would probably be to kidnap me. But he wouldn’t let any harm come to me.”

Jason – Gets up and starts to pace, he turns to face her, “And that’s supposed to make me feel better.” He sighs and starts pacing again, “It doesn’t Robin. I’m worried. I can’t stand the thought of something happening to you.” He calms down and goes to sit by her again. He takes both her hands in his, “Plus, you’re pregnant now. I don’t want to miss a second of it. I want to be with you for every craving, morning sickness, worry, joy, everything.” He pauses, “I know you Robin. I know how much you want this baby and how much you’re afraid to hope for it. I know that you’re scared that our child my be born HIV positive or that you passed it on to me.” He sighs, “I want to be with you to talk through your fears and worries. I want to be there to love away the doubts and concerns.”

Robin – Looks deeply into his eyes and sees the worry and love there, “You will be Jason.”

Jason – “I told AJ a few hours ago that I hate being not in control. I can’t control the disease in your blood. I can’t even control your worries and fears.” He pauses a second to collect his thoughts, “What hurts me that most, what scares me the most is knowing that you’re so scared and worried about this. This should be the happiest time in your life. We’re back together, and getting married, and having a baby. Something that we only hoped and dreamed about. And don’t misunderstand. I’m happy. I’m thrilled. I’m overjoyed by this news. We’re going to have a baby Robin. The woman that I love with all my heart, body, soul, and mind is going to be having my baby.” He pauses and wipes the tears from her face that his words had caused, “I know that you’re happy too. I just don’t want you to worry about this. Even though I know you will. I can’t lose you Robin. I love our child already but I love you more. You are my life. I don’t think I could go on without you.”

Robin – “Oh Jason. I don’t know what to say.” She says and pauses, “I’m happy too. Really happy. I love you and I love our child. You made me a mother. And you have always been so understanding and caring with me, about everything. But I can’t live like everyone else. I can’t pretend to be HIV negative as much as I may want too. You just being with me puts you at risk. Now I’ve added a child into the equation.” She sighs, “But I wouldn’t change a thing. Not a single moment that I have had or will have with you and later with our child. But we have to face facts, I’m not like everyone else. I’m dying. It may be a slow death but I’m still dying.”

Jason – “I know.” He says sadly, “But you may outlive every one in this house. There’s no guarantees on how long any of us will be here.” He pause, “And once we talk to Alan and Dr. Meadows and who ever else we need to you will see that the chances for you to bear a HIV negative child is great.” He pauses and brushes a strand of hair off her face, “Why don’t we wait to discuss this more later? Once we talk to Alan.” He says softly and waits for her nod before kissing her forehead, “And it’s always been my risk to take Robin. To be with you, has always been my choice. One that I’m grateful to have and glad to take. I probably wouldn’t be here if I hadn’t met you. You changed my life for the better, and I will do everything within my power and most likely outside of my power to keep you with me and to keep you safe.”

Robin – “I know Jason.”

Jason – “I love you so much baby.” He says pulling her too him and laying down on the bed. “I don’t regret a moment I have had with you. All the risks are worth it just to be able to hold you like this.”

Robin – “For me too.” She says softly laying her head on his chest. “For me too.” She repeats and leans up to pull him into a passionate kiss. A kiss that showed how much she loved him and wanted to be with him.

~~A while later~~

Jason -- Smiles down at Robin in his arms, he loved the look on her face right after they made love. ''I've never considered it a risk Robin.'' he whispers before drifting off to sleep

Chapter 12 – Reunions Part II

Part One – We meet again

Rick and Holly arrived late the previous night when everyone else was sleeping. Robin was pleasantly surprised to find them downstairs eating breakfast with Sonny, Brenda, Carly and AJ when her and Jason came downstairs.

Rick – Looking up from his waffles, “Hey sharpshooter.” He says his mouth slightly full of food.

Robin – “Don’t call me that.” She says with a pause, “Slick.” She laughs at the look he gives her, “And didn’t anybody ever tell you not to talk with your mouth full.”

Holly – Smiling at Robin before turning to glare at her brother, “Mind your manners Rick. Honestly.” She says.

Robin – “That’s okay Holly. I’m used to his poor manners and rude behavior.” She says with a laugh.

Rick – “Hey. I resent that remark.” He says with a laugh, “Sharpshooter.”

Robin – Ignoring Rick she grabs Jason’s hand and takes him over to Holly, “Holly. I want you to meet my fiancé Jason Morgan. Jason this is Holly.”

Jason – Shakes the hand that Holly offered, “Holly.”

Robin – “And you know everybody else already.” She says with a laugh before turning to Holly, “Have you been properly introduced to everyone?” at Holly’s nod she smiles. “Well, I’m starving so I’m going to get something to eat before Rick devours it all.”

Jason – Smiles down at Robin, “I’ll get it for you.” He says and kisses her gently before going over to the breakfast buffet that had been set up and fixing a plate for Robin and one for him. He sets the plate down on the table and gives Robin a quick kiss again and whispers I love you, before they dig into their food.

After breakfast, Robin filled the others in on the situation and they all joined Daniel in the room that led to the deck to discuss things. Robin wanted Brenda and Carly there for support and so that they would be aware of what was going on.

Robin – “Okay tell me what’s going on.” She says firmly.

Holly – Looks at the girl who was once her stepdaughter, with a sigh she hands her an envelope. “Those are the pictures and negatives I found.” She begins, “But as I told Frisco, it seemed that the job was too easy almost. I’ve done this plenty of time before, and I have never had a job run so smoothly. No hitches or glitches. It was too easy so he’s investigating it further to see if maybe Faison and Mrs. Newman had a relationship of any sorts.”

Rick – “What about it made it seem out of the ordinary to you?” he asks looking at his sister.

Holly – “I’m not bragging here but I’m good at this. D**n good. But this was a cakewalk. Even an amateur could have done this without a hitch. When I said there were no glitches, I mean none. No security checking. No problems getting in or out. I was able to get into the security room with no trouble. There was only one guard at the front and one by the security room. There was no patrols, during the entire time I was there.”

Robin – “That does seem strange. So you suspect Faison?” Holly nods. “And Frisco agrees?” Holly nods again. Robin opens the envelope Holly gave her and looks inside. She shudders; there they were the pictures that she had posed for. She purses her lips thoughtfully and looks at Jason who gives her a reassuring smile. “Okay what’s next?”

Duke – Clears his throat, “The report on the bike is back.” He begins, “I’m sorry Robin but it wasn’t an accident. One of the bolts was loosened and wires frayed. I had just had the bike checked out that night before, so whoever did it after that.” He pauses, “And I have a good idea who it was. And he will be dealt with accordingly.” He sees Sonny and Jason exchange a look, “And if Mr. Corinthos and Morgan would like to be there as well, then that can be arranged.” He says and nods when he sees them nod in appreciation and acceptance of his offer.

Holly – goes over and sits next to Robin, “I don’t mean to but in but as your once stepmother I’m going to.” She pauses, “Have you talked to Mac recently?” she asks.

Robin – “No. I don’t know what to say to him or if I want to forgive him yet.”

Holly – “Okay. I understand.” She begins, “I’m going to say this and then I won’t mention it again.” She pauses, “He’s worried about you and he misses you. He’s sorry. He knows he screwed up, but there was some things going on that isn’t of handling it he held it inside and unfortunately you were the person that was the unlucky recipient of it’s unleashing.”

Robin – Nods thinking for a moment and pushes those thoughts to the back of her mind before turning to Rick, “Any thing else I should know?”

Rick – “Not really. The only concrete thing we have is Mrs. Jerome making a phone call to Faison.”

Duke – “The Jerome’s. D*****t. I thought we had gotten rid of them once and for all.”

Robin – “The only way to be truly rid of them is when they all are dead.” She says softly.

Sonny – “How are the Jerome’s a threat. They don’t have any power or backing anymore. And any backing they had would go to Robin because of Duke.”

Rick – “True but they have something that is worse than power and prestige.” He says and pauses, “They have revenge. They want vengeance on Robin for whatever crimes they think Duke may or may not have committed.”

Robin – Sees the look on Duke’s face and goes over to him, “This is not your fault.” She says softly, “You didn’t force Olivia to fall in love with you or to go crazy. Plus you’ve been ‘dead’ for years. Even if they knew you were alive, they couldn’t prove it. And if they did know you were alive, they would be coming after you instead of me.”

Duke – “I know. But that doesn’t make me feel any better.” He pulls her into a hug, “I’m sorry.”

They are interrupted by a loud voice saying, “What the h*** is going on here?” They see that the voice belongs to Luke Spencer. They turn to stare into the faces of Luke and Laura Spencer and Anna and Robert Scorpio.

Robin – Stares at her parents, “How? Why? Where?” she says quietly, “You’re alive.” She says softly. Robin stares at them in shock for another minute, “This must be a dream.” She says and pinches herself, “Okay it’s not a dream. This is a nightmare.” She pauses and looks intently at Luke and Laura. She knows that it’s really them. She doesn’t want to believe it, for fear that it really was a dream. But she knows that neither Luke nor Laura would do this for her. She sees Jason watching her, waiting for her reaction. “How do I know that you’re really my parents?” Her friends watch her closely, and Jason who was by her side instantly when they came in grabs a hold of her hand. They all wait patiently for her reaction and her parents reaction. They know that she had always wished her parents were alive and wondered whether her dreams were about to come true or be dashed beyond recognition.

Robert – “Ask us something that only your mom or I would know?” he says staring at his daughter in awe at the beautiful woman she had become. Restraining himself from running to his daughter and holding on to her for dear life.

Anna – “Oh Robin.” she says softly breaking down in tears and holding on to Robert for the strength and patience not to run over to Robin as well.

Robin – “Okay. Dad?” she begins tentatively, “%Once upon a time, there was an island and all these little children lived on the island…”

Robert – He smiles instantly at the memory of the story she told him when she was a young girl. “If I recall you never did finish that story. But the next part was this, %The children were all six and under and were looked after by the girls who were six, the babies were very loved and looked after, the boys were busy getting coconuts and fish to eat. And then there were other boys always on top of the mountain. You know, on top of the mountain-looking for ships to come. they were looking... waiting for their parents to come for them…” he pauses, “That’s all I know. You fell asleep on me after that.”

Robin – Is instantly taken back to that night, “Oh Dad.” She says softly tears pooling her eyes as she squeezes Jason hand tightly, she takes a few deep breaths to calm her self. She takes a tentative step towards them, still holding on to Jason’s hand. “Mom?” she says, “What was my doll’s name?”

Anna – Looks at her daughter and smiles brightly, without hesitation she says, “Cindy.”

Robin – Tears falling down her face, turns to look at Jason and gives him a smile. He steps forward and kisses her forehead before releasing her hand, “Mom. Dad.” She calls out and runs forward into their open arms. “I can’t believe it’s really you. I can’t believe you’re really here.” She then steps back and hugs them separately, first her mom then her dad. Stepping back with a smile on her face and tears still streaming back she looks at them in disbelief. “Jason.” She calls happily, and he is by her side in an instance. “My parents’ are alive Jason. Can you believe it? Our baby is going to know his or her grandparents.” She says happily jumping in his arms, “My parents’ are alive.” She yells with a happiness that is contagious and makes everyone in the room smile and cry with her.

Anna – “Baby?” she says in shock, “My baby is having a baby.”

Robin – Still holding on to Jason, “Yes.” She turns in Jason’s arms, “Mom. Dad.” She begins and pauses, “Wow. I’ve always wanted to say this.” She smiles, “Mom. Dad. I would like you to meet my fiancé and the father of your future grandchild, Jason Morgan.” She bubbles.

Anna – “Nice to meet you Jason.” Anna says shaking Jason’s hand and hugging Robin again. “My baby is all grown up.” She says softly crying.

Robert – “Jason.” Robert says shaking Jason’s hand firmly and giving him the once over.

Jason – Nods in Robert’s direction and looks him over as well, “It’s nice to finally meet you Mr. And Mrs. Scorpio. Robin’s told me many wonderful things about you.” He says.

Robin – “I’ve seen to lost my manners. I’m sorry guys but it isn’t everyday that my parents return from the dead.” She says turning to her friends who smile and nod to let her know that they understood. “Mom. Dad. You remember Holly and Rick don’t you.” At their nod, she continues with the introductions, “These are my dear friends. Sonny Corinthos. Caroline Benson Spencer Corinthos. Brenda Barrett. And last but not least, AJ Quartermaine.” She says pointing to each one. She walks over to Duke who was trying to fade quietly into the background, watching the reunion of the love of his life and the young woman who was like his daughter. Grabbing his hand she guides him gently over to her parents, “Um…” she begins unsure of how to introduce or rather re-introduce Duke to her parents.

Anna – “It’s okay love. I would recognize him anywhere.” She says to her daughter. Anna holds her hand out which Duke promptly kisses much to Robert’s chagrin. “Hello Duke.” She says with a smile. “I see that death agrees with you.”

Duke – With that brilliant smile of his, “You too my dear.” He says with a short laugh before turning to Robert, “Robert.” He says with a nod.

Robert – Possessively taking a step towards Anna, “Duke.” He says evenly.

Robin – “Okay now that the testosterone fest is done.” She says with a smirk as she pulls out her phone. She takes a few deep breaths and locks eyes with Jason and found the calm that she always did. The quiet reassurance, calm and love that was devoted only to her. With another deep breath, she closed her eyes and said a silent prayer before dialing the number of the one person she knew who may be more effected by this then she was. “Hello Adam.” She says with a smile at her young cousin, “Is your dad there?…May I speak with him please?…I will. Thank you.” She smiles as she hears Adam yelling Daddy into the house. She takes a deep breath and slowly exhales when she hears him pick up the phone, “Hi Uncle Mac. It’s me…I know…I don’t want to talk about that right now…Uncle Mac…could you come down here please…I need you…No, my health is fine…It’s not that and I didn’t mean to worry you. But this isn’t something that I can get into over the phone…I’m fine Mac really…and no, it’s not Jason. He’s right here beside me” she says with a laugh. She rolls her eyes; her uncle would never change and probably would never really accept her relationship with Jason. With a sigh she says, “Please Uncle Mac. I really need you to be here right now. I really need you right now Uncle Mac…that’s hard to say…well, that’s really up to you…and bring Adam too…yes, it’s safe. Do you really think I would endanger Adam’s life?” she snaps and takes a deep breath to calm down, “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to snap. Please come. I’ll send the plane for you. It’ll be quicker that way.” She pauses, “And Uncle Mac?” she calls into the phone before he hangs up, “It’s okay. I love you too.” She says and hangs up. She turns to the others, “Well, Uncle Mac should be here this evening. Adam said to tell his Mommy that he misses her and loves her a whole bunch. And to tell Uncle Rick that he’s been a good boy so he owes him that new game.” She says wrapping her arms around her waist. “Wow.” She lets out a loud laugh, “My parent’s are alive.” She says again loudly with tears coming down her face, “My parents are alive.” She says softly. “My parents’ are alive.” She says again, looking from her parents to Jason before fainting.

Jason – Notices that something is off with Robin, especially with her coming off such an emotional rush is by her side in an instant and catches her before she hits the floor. Scooping her up in his arms, he goes over to the couch and holds her, gently rocking her. Anna and Robert come and sit on either side of him, Anna sits gently stroking Robin’s hand and Robert places a hand gently on her leg. The others stand around helplessly knowing that Robin would need Jason now more than anything but not wanting to leave in case they could do anything to help. “Robin. Baby. Come on. Wake up.” He says softly. “Come on Robin. Please open those beautiful brown eyes for me.” He says. He smiles when he sees her eyelids flutter open and close and finally open again. Robert moves his hand from her leg and Anna stops stroking her hair when she opens her eyes. They know that she has to process this in her own way and time and as much as they don’t want to. They know it’s probably best to let Jason handle it.

Robin – Looks up into Jason eyes, “Jason.” She says softly, “Was it just a dream?” she pauses and takes a deep breath. She is focusing on Jason and doesn’t see Robert sitting by her foot, “Or are my parents really alive?”

Jason – Nods, “Yes. They’re here baby. You weren’t dreaming.” He says gently. Helping her into a sitting position, “Do you want some water?” she nods. And he motions for Sonny who is closest to the bar to get her some water. “Thanks.” He says to Sonny and hands her the glass. He notices the time and motions for Carly to get her pills for her. He knows the dosage by heart and hands her the pills to take, “Here.” He says gently. “Do you want to get up know or sit here?” he asks not minding that she was sitting on him but wanting her to be comfortable.

Robin – “Is it alright if I just sit here for a bit?” she asks quietly already knowing the answer.

Jason – Smiles down at her, “Of course it is baby.” He says and kisses her gently on the lips. He sees Anna move to sit beside Robert. “I think your parents want to talk to you though. They’re a little worried about you right now.”

Robin – “I’m sorry but it may take me a bit to get used to you guys again.” She says her voice tinged with sadness, regret and anger. “And I’m sure you have a lot of questions. As do I, but I would rather wait for Uncle Mac to get here, or afterwards to address them. I hope that you understand.”

Anna – “Of course we do love. It’s a lot to take in at once.”

Robin – “Thanks.” She says leaning into Jason and watching her parents as they watched her. She sits and studies them a bit, how much they’ve changed. She had to ask her dad about what happened to his arm. She also wanted to find out what happened to them, where they were, where they’d been, and why they hadn’t come back for her. As all the questions and possibilities flood her mind, all the memories of times she wishes they were there with her. She began to softly cry.

Jason – Instinctively pulls Robin closer to him and holds her tightly, “Ssh. It’s okay Robin. Everything is going to be okay.” He whispers, “I love you. And your parents love you.” He says softly over and over again, “They’re not going to leave you again. I’ll make sure of that.” He whispers in her ear, “I love you. You are so brave and beautiful. You are so amazing baby.” He says gently. “You’re not alone anymore.” He says and hugs her tighter to him. He knew that she always had felt alone and abandoned when her parents died. Even though she had had her Uncle Mac.

Robin – “I know.” She whispers, “That’s why I’m crying. I’m so happy and sad at the same time. I have my parents back.” She says.

Anna and Robert stand off to the side watching their daughter interact with the man that she loved. The man they both knew they would have to contend with if they ever did anything to hurt Robin again. They sighed and held each other close, as they wonder what their little girl has gone through and hope that she can forgive them for what they put her through.
