I am hanging my head in shame right now. It's been damn near three months since I've updated. I'm lucky I still remember how to do this. Ever have one of those spans of time when life seems to throw you in every direction but the one you want?? ANYway, I've had this piece ready to post for about 2 months now, but I just never got around to it, so I'm posting it now. It can be found on the lyrical page and was inspired by the Puddle of Mudd (I forget if it's one "d" or two) song Blurry. And for those of you who have continued to visit through these long cold months, I thank you.

Could it be? An update?? Yes, I know it's been a while, but I have many good reasons for having been away. This update doesn't mark the end of the hiatus, but merely a respite from the roller coaster that has become my life. That being said, I have two new merges that I created a few weeks back, and I'm just finally getting around to posting them. The first is inspired by the wonderfully erotic poem "i like my body when it's with your body" by e.e. cummings. It was a slight departure for me in that I just wanted to try some new elements and was going for a different feel. Did it work? The second is just a "trippy" piece that I came up with ... an attempt to make something, ANYthing that I could live with. The muse and I apparantly had a fight that I wasn't aware of, so she's left me high and dry. With any luck, the next update won't be in another two months.

I've neglected the site. Real life has encroached and it will once again be taking over. I apologize in advance but I can guarantee that the updates will be few and far between *very* soon and for quite some time. That being said, there's nothing new to post today, as I've ALSO neglected the computer in general. The only thing I wanted to say is welcome back to the old design. Much as I wanted to hold on to the holidays I realized it was time to toss that layout. However, since I liked the main page image so damn much, I put it up on the general page.

I got a wonderful surprise in my mailbox this afternoon when I finally checked. Virtual hugs and kisses to DecemberLady for the *distinct* honor of choosing this site as her January "Dreamer of the Month". I can't thank her enough. What a way to ring in the new year, huh? And just in case some of you were worried, yes, she DID ask .. even if it *was* after the fact *G*. Visit my Award page to see the wonderful plaque she sent me to display for all to see. Happy 2002 to all of you. As I always say, may this year suck less than the last.

No new artwork to display today, unless you count the button I made for a new web page I'll be linking to. I received an e-mail the other day from Terry requesting I take a look at her site. So I did. Wow, I was blown away by her sketches. Terry, your ability to put pencil to paper is fascinating. I've said it before, I'll say it again, I can't even draw stick figures.
