Simmer-searing heat,
the fête-Dieu flowers trumpet -
Summer-power's here!
THE RAINS

Monsoon majesty!
The barrage-royal thunders,
mundane joys upsurge.
AUTUMN

Bright autumnal moon:
the rice-stems nod and trees bow -
breeze of boding-time.





WINTER

the her'ns wheel round their home-sky -
rime-bound wintry chill.

EARLY SPRING

Heralds early spring,
the reaped earth specked with corn-heaps;
her'n shrieks seldom heard.
