"So much for dinner," Ally mumbled as her and Larry laid spread out across the bed. "I had something better," Larry looked down at Ally, who was draped over him, and smiled. The next week went by pretty much the same way. They would find things to do and it would always lead to the best sex either of them had had. That certain someone always seemed to be lurking by as well. Ally sensed him every now and then when he was a little too close. All of the little hairs on Ally's neck would stand straight up and Ally would shiver and cuddle up next to Larry or run to try and find him if they weren't right next to each other at that very moment Ally was frightened. Ally was pondering what to do the following Monday and came up with bike riding through this path that went around the lake. "Well it's a big lake Ally, what if we don't get home before dark?" Larry suggested. "Oh stop it Larry! You seem to find something wrong with everything I suggest we do! Can we just go out and have a good time for once without you complaining?" Ally was getting irritated. "Geez, what the hell jumped up your ass?" Larry indicted. Ally shot him an 'if looks could kill you'd be dead' look and Larry shut up. They went to the chalet and rented the mountain bikes and began trudging down, or rather up, the path. Ally was way ahead of Larry and not paying attention. "Ally! Wait up!" Larry kept yelling and Ally seemed to get faster. She just wanted to feel the mountain air and forget about Larry's complaining earlier. They were supposed to be having the time of their lives and all Larry seemed to want to do was sit down and watch TV or something, which they could do at home. Ally was NOT up for that. She wanted to explore, investigate, discover, just have fun. It sounded little kiddish, but Ally didn't care. She'd loved the wilderness ever since she was little and couldn't imagine a better place in the world to be than hiking or camping out. Larry caught up to Ally and went onto the other side of the bike path to talk to her. "What the hell is your problem Ally? Are you deliberately trying to lose me?" He was almost yelling now. "Oh god Larry, does everything revolve around you? Are you always the one that has to be having fun or no one else is? I really wish you would just back off and let me enjoy myself!" Ally was yelling back. "Fine, you wanna be left alone, FINE!" Larry yelled and stopped to turn his bike around and head back to the chalet. "It's not like we came up here to be together or alone or anything!" he continued to shout as Ally just continued to ride further. All of a sudden, someone came up from behind him and knocked him across the head with a hammer, rendering him unconscious with a bicycle on top of him. The young man hopped back on top of his own bicycle and rode off furiously towards Ally.
Ally took a deep breath of air and let go of the bicycle handles, stretching her arms out. The sensation felt tremendous. For a split moment, she was flying. All of a sudden, those little hairs on the back of her neck stood straight up. Ally grabbed the handlebars again immediately. She wondered where Larry was and then remembered him leaving her a little ways back because all he was being was naggy. Ally started to peddle faster up the hill she was reaching and starting taking quick nervous breaths. The young man just kept gaining on her and gaining on her. Ally took a glance back and saw him, peddling ferociously to catch up, and he was; she knew it. Ally peddled faster and as she came up on a turn, she lost control of the bike, which skidded, causing Ally to fly off the bike forward and as she slid across the hard asphalt of the bicycle path, she blacked out.
Ally stirred as the young man prepared tomato soup over the stove of this private cabin way back in the woods, the lake just barely visible through the window by the kitchen. Ally's eyelids fluttered and she moaned softly. "Ah, you're waking up, that's a good thing," the young man said as he put the warmed up soup in a bowl and walked towards Ally. He moved a strand of hair, which was strewn over her eyes, and smiled. "I've missed you," he softly said. Ally's eyes fluttered a little bit more and then opened slightly. As she began to focus on the figure in front of her, she tried to speak. "Where, where am I?" she whispered, barely audible. "You're at a cabin with me, you're safe now; safe from that horrible man. I'm going to take care of you now," he looked at Ally who was still struggling to open her eyes. Ally attempted to sit up and then fell back. "No no no, take it easy," he comforted her. "You had quite a fall. Here, eat this soup I made you," he offered it to her and she successfully sat up and took it. "Th, thank you. Um, who are you again? I don't think I know you," Ally looked at the man, troubled. "Oh don't gimme that!" he joked. "Funny, ha ha," he looked at Ally who still looked completely clueless and started to get pissed off. "Now don't tell me you don't remember me," he raised his voice. "Well, um, I, I don't, remember you," Ally was stuttering, trying to put a name to the unfamiliar face and she rubbed her head. Upon seeing that, the young man relaxed a bit. "Okay, so maybe your head hurts from your fall and you don't remember me yet. I'm Paul, does that ring any bells?" he studied her confused face. "Is Paul your first name? I remember a guy named Larry Paul, but no," she paused, seeing his angry face arise yet again, "one named Paul," Ally gulped. "How could you forget me mommy?" Paul grabbed her hand earnestly and gripped it tightly. Ally's eyes widened. "Mommy?" she whispered. "Yes, remember," Paul's face got hazy again, "I'm the son you left so carelessly when I needed you most!" he finished, having thrown her hand down and started pacing. Ally just sat there, stunned, worried about what was going to happen, and holding her head, which was excruciatingly painful.
Larry woke up in the chalet where he and Ally had rented the bikes with a wet towel on his head and a nurse next to him. As he tried to get up, she stopped him quickly, "No, don't move. Lay still, you suffered quite a blow to the head." "How did I get here?" Larry managed to speak. His head WAS in a lot of pain. "Well someone found you knocked out under a rented bike, so they brought you back here and you've been out for about 2 hours. I'm assuming you have a concussion," she finished in one breath, a little too perky for his liking. He was just gaining the memory back from when Ally took off away from him. He wanted to know what happened, he struggled to remember, but the last thing he saw in his head was Ally peddling away from him. "Someone," Larry was struggling with a vision. "Someone, knocked me out. I was looking after Ally and, and, I don't remember anything else." "Well sir, no one saw anything except you under a bicycle, we'll have to look for your woman friend," Larry interrupted her. "She's my fiancée," he corrected her. "Your, fiancée," the nurse corrected herself with an amused smile on her face. She proceeded to lay Larry back down as he slowly blacked out again.
Ally was very nervous. Paul's pacing had become violent and he began thrashing out at things. Ally was afraid she would be the next thing he thrashed out at; she wanted to make the peace. "Maybe the fall caused some of my memory to erase," she suggested, knowing damn well she remembered everything. Paul stopped briefly and looked at her, "You can't just forget you have a son!" he bellowed at her. "Actually, I honestly feel like some of my life is missing," Ally was desperate. "Maybe you're that part that's missing," she tried to soften her voice. All of a sudden Paul broke his angry pace and ran to Ally and put his head on her lap. "I've missed you so much mom. I mean I need you so much I can even forgive you for forgetting about me and forgive you for leaving me, but you just can't do it again." he looked up at her with hope in his eyes. "Can you tell me you won't do it again?" he put his head back on her lap, squeezing her legs hopefully. Ally was stunned. This boy had problems, and she knew she HAD to agree or something might happen to her, but she didn't know exactly how to go about it. Ally finally decided to play along and she figured, she could get him the help he needed; it was possible. "Yes Paul, I can promise you that," she smiled warmly and Paul's face lit up as he brought his head off of her lap to look at her. "Oh mommy, you won't regret this!" he sounded like a little boy, she had noticed. Poor thing, whatever had happened to him had caused some bad damage. She had wondered what had made her stay calm though. She thought for a moment, realized he hadn't tied her up or anything, maybe he really was just a lost boy. Hmmm…
LET'S SPICE THINGS UP A BIT AND TAKE IT FROM A POINT OF VIEW…
I keep running and whom do I run into? None other than my evil ex Jamie, just my luck! "Agghhh! Watch where you're go-" she looked up at me, "Larry! Wow, um, uh, what are you doing here?" Jamie was laughing nervously. God I hope she doesn't make another freakin' pass at me. "Um, I'm here with Ally, or rather, was," damn, I said too much, now she's gonna be curious. What the HELL is my problem?? "Was? Larry, what happened?" she put a hand on my shoulder. Don't touch me! "Nevermind!" I growled at her. "What are YOU doing here? Where's Sam?" I started looking around for my son, hoping he wasn't in trouble like my Ally, which would be just my luck ya know. "Oh he's up with his grandparents in Canada visiting the cousins," Jamie replied, seeming happier than I have seen her in a while. What the hell was she doing here? Maybe with someone, ooo!!! Even better!!! I am bad, bad bad bad Larry. "Oh," she stopped and smiled. "I met someone!" she squealed in delight. Thank God! "Oh really? That's great Jamie, that's really great," I started grinding my teeth, I was losing time in finding Ally, I had no idea where she was and Jamie was wasting my time with her 'meeting someone' episode. Dammit! Jamie started rambling, just great, I groaned silently, forcing a smile. "Well, he's quite a bit older, but, well that's not so bad, I mean, the age difference doesn't seem to bother him, so I'm fine with it. Oh, and he just adores Sam, I have to say," Jamie took a breath, surprisingly, "Sam hasn't taken too much of a liking to him, but, oh that's okay. Sam has you, so that's all good," was Jamie being nice? What a shocker! I smiled, I couldn't help it, Sam liked Ally and didn't like Jamie's new guy, it was time for to gloat, but I stopped cause of course Ally was brought back to my mind. She was nowhere to be found, and I was apparently knocked out for a reason. And Jamie would NOT shut up!!! "Listen, Jamie, I need to let you go now. I'm really happy for you and all, but I need to find Ally," I tried to rush past her, but she must have sensed the worry in my voice, (damn, I used to be good at hiding that, must be slipping) "Larry, what happened? Did something happen to Ally?" wow, did this guy actually give Jamie a heart? I broke down, god I'm pathetic, but I couldn't take I anymore, I needed some help. Who the hell was I kidding; I couldn't do this on my own! I told her everything about the weekend in a nutshell (well, almost everything, stop smiling Larry!), and she just sat there sympathetically nodding her head, rubbing my back when I broke down. Yes, I Larry Paul am crying in front of my ex, vulnerable as all hell, typically, it would mean I was crying for attention, for love, but it was DEFINITELY not the case here. "Larry, I am really honestly sorry about this," Jamie started when I had finished my story. "You know, you should meet my boyfriend. He could probably help us. He's really gifted at getting around the woods. This was his idea, coming here I mean; he wanted to show me what he was good at. Navigating the woods, it's his one true love," Jamie took a deep breath, sighing blissfully with a content smile on her lips. It made me remember Ally saying she had loved the woods before we left for the trip. I was doubting that she wanted to go and she went into some spiel about loving camping out with her family when she was younger. Dammit, why did I have to fight with her! I left her all alone! Damn!!! "Oh! And he wanted me to meet his son! He seemed fine at first," her face took on a puzzled look, which intrigued me. "But after a couple of days here, he started getting weird, walking around like he saw a ghost or something everywhere we went. It actually made me glad I left Sam with my parents!" Jamie let out a tense laugh. "I don't think I would leave Sam alone with him." I immediately started to wonder, of course Sam is my pride and joy, it's only natural, NO Larry! Think Ally!!! She's missing, you know where Sam is, FOCUS!!! "How long have you been here?" Jamie interrupted my thoughts. "Oh, um, about a week," I responded, thinking for a moment. "Well I'm surprised we didn't run across each other. We've done everything under the sun to do," she laughed, much more lighthearted now than before. She stopped and looked at me. "I'm sorry, I know, you're missing Ally, physically, and I'm blabbing on," she put a hand on my shoulder again, DON"T TOUCH ME!!! "Let's go find Daniel," and with that she led me away, and what could I do? I was helpless; I had no idea what to do. Maybe this Daniel guy could help me, god I hope so!
HOW ABOUT ALLY'S POV NOW, YEAH?! :)
I looked at him as he was cleaning up the kitchen whistling. "Paul?" I tried to get his attention. He turned his head automatically, as if I had like clicked a switch and he was a robot, how odd. "Yes mom?" he looked at me, his eyes were shining, oh god, please don't get mad PLEASE don't get mad! I cleared my throat and took a deep breath. "Well, um, I was uh wondering if I could ask you a question without you," I cleared my throat again and began to feel the sweat rising to my forehead, "getting mad at me." "Of course mom!" he dropped the towel he was holding and pulled up a chair next to me on the couch. Whew, I asked, now I just have to wait to see if this pisses him off. Oh boy. "Um, I was wondering," I paused, no don't be TOO direct, "seeing as to I'm not really remembering anything," yes, that's it, NOW ask it, "what did I do to you when you were younger?" I immediately saw his face change. "I just wanna know how I can make it right," I quickly added, okay, so far so good Ally. "Oh, um," the look on his face made me know he was troubled. Damn, this isn't gonna be good. He took a hand and ran it through his hair, nervously, a nervous tactic, good to know. "Well, things were good when you were around and then you just, you left. You left me and daddy, I don't know why, I don't think I really wanna know why, but you did. And to make matters worse, you never wrote, you never called. I kept your picture with me and I sang the song you used to sing to me every night when you tucked me in, praying and wishing and hoping that you would come back, but you never did. I felt so abandoned, so alone. There was only so much dad could do." he looked at me fearfully. "You don't plan on leaving me again do you? I just couldn't handle it! I don't wanna be alone again," he grabbed my hand squeezing it while he brought it up to his cheek, a tear rolled down his cheek. What a poor boy. What a bitch his mother must be! Wait a sec Ally, you ARE his mother, remember? Oh man, this is gonna be harder than I thought. I guess my maternal instincts took over and I took his hand clasped in mine and clutched it with my other as well, squeezing them. " I won't leave you Paul, trust me." Paul started singing:
Smile, though your heart is aching I recognized the song, so I took over
When there are clouds, in the sky, you'll get by Paul smiled through his teary eyes and we sang together
You'll see the sun, come shining through We smiled at each other. Wow, I feel like a mom. No Ally, you can't be this boy's mother. He's troubled. Get him help, if you care, get him help. This is going to be harder than I thought.
PLEASE DON'T HATE ME…THERE HAS TO BE SOME VARIETY HERE!
I'm sitting in the car with Larry right now driving to Daniel and mine's cabin, and I can't say he's looking good. The poor thing looks like he's half-dead. God I hope Daniel can help him! I glance over at Larry and our eyes meet. "I'm really sorry Larry," I say genuinely. Larry sighs and looks away, poor thing, "Thanks Jamie," I catch him wipe away a tear. Oh man, that's a first. The only time I ever saw Larry cry was when Sam was born, and that was just a single tear of joy. But right now, as I looked upon Larry, I saw him in a different light. Ally was his one, his 'it' as he once told me when I had visited him in Boston. God what was I thinking? No Jamie, it's okay; you just simply didn't know then how much in love he was. Now you sympathize and wouldn't ever do it again. This is good, it's fine, and you're okay. I pulled into Daniel's driveway and see Daniel sitting outside on the porch with the phone beside him and a worried look on his face. Oh no, what's wrong? Me and Larry get out of the car and Daniel stands up as soon as he sees me emerge and hurries to me. "Hi honey!" he says in a downright distressful tone. "Daniel," I say as we kiss our hellos, then I remember Larry. "Daniel, this is Larry, Sam's dad," I motion to Larry. "Larry," Daniel holds his hand out and Larry takes it. So far so good. "Nice to meet you, heard lots about you," he smiles, but the smile quickly erases. I wonder what's wrong. "Nice to meet you too," Larry reciprocates. Always appropriate, even when his life is hanging in the rafters, always something I admired about him. "Daniel, um, Larry has a bit of a problem. He seems to have lost his girlfriend," Larry interrupted me. "Fiancée," I smiled at Larry, man this is even worse than I thought. I corrected myself, "Fiancée, on a bike ride along the paths around the lake. I suggested that maybe you could help him, since you know the woods and the people of the lake like the back of your hand," I looked at Daniel hopefully, who still looked distressed. Mental note, ask him what's wrong. "Um, sure, I actually," he looked at me and then bowed his head rubbing his eyes. His nervous habit, how adorable. "Paul has disappeared," Larry raised his head, but then realized that it wasn't him. How cute, I laugh lightly, hoping it's not noticed immediately after though. "I don't know where he went. You know how he usually calls or leaves a note?" I nod my head. "Well, no note, no call, and he won't pick up his cell phone. I haven't heard from him all day Jamie, I don't know what happened," my poor baby, he's worried. I actually am rather curious myself. Paul has been acting strange, so something's up, I can feel it. Larry seemed to snap out of his daze because he spoke almost immediately. "Daniel, you know these woods very well?" "Yes, we come out here every for vacation randomly a couple of times every year." "Good, well then we'll go out and look for Ally and Paul." "How about we eat first?" I suggested, hearing my stomach grumbling. Daniel smiled, the first real smile since we arrived, "That sounds good," he kept smiling at me warmly. What a cutie. He did look much older than Larry. He was about forty-eight years of age, had a goatee, which for some reason didn't bother me, and he was stocky. Quite the attractive man for his age, if I do say so myself. Daniel grabbed my hand and led me into the house. Larry was following a little bit behind. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Larry approach the porch and stop. He turned around and looked up at the just barely noticeable stars dancing lightly around the moon. It had grown quite dark, and I had forgotten to notice. I had dropped my hand from Daniel's who had gone into the kitchen to start making something quick I had presumed and I stopped to watch Larry. I wonder what he's thinking.
"Starlight star bright the first star I see tonight," I was whispering and took a deep breath. "I wish I may, I wish I might," I paused staring at a particularly bright star. "Make my wish come true tonight." I closed my eyes. All I could wish for is to have Ally safe and in my arms again. Nothing would make me happier. Just to know that she's safe… "Larry?" Jamie's voice stole my thoughts like a thief in the night. I whipped around, removing my glasses and wiping my eyes. I couldn't help it, being apart from Ally and not knowing if she was hurt or in trouble brought tears to my eyes. "Are you okay?" she whispered softly, her eyes staring at me more softly than before. Maybe she really did wanna help me. Her and Daniel seemed pretty chummy. This could be a good thing; I really need a friend right now. "Oh, I'm just," I gasped for breath; I hadn't realized it became extremely hard for me to breathe. "Come inside Larry," Jamie coaxed me. I gave in. One more nod at the sky and I was inside. "Make yourself comfortable Larry," Jamie offered the couch and I moved towards it. I sat down and stared into the fireplace that was unlit. I sighed and got back up after a minute. There were pictures along the walls down the hall and I mindlessly walked down there. There were lots of pictures of Daniel and a much younger boy. He smiled, but there was something troubled. His eyes, they were always, hazy I guess you could say. I walked down the hall and came up to a table full of pictures and browsed through them, picking them up one by one, wishing that Ally and I could have a family one day. Where is my Ally dammit! I'm such an idiot! Mental note, never leave her alone again!!! I picked up another picture and gazed into it. I was captivated. It was of Daniel, I'm guessing Paul, and another woman; I'm guessing it was Paul's mother. I wonder what happened to her. I looked into her eyes and then I dropped the picture and it smashed to the floor with a loud crash, the glass spreading all around. My hands immediately went to my mouth and my eyes got teary. Jamie and Daniel ran over to where I was standing in shock. "Larry! What's wrong?" Jamie was worried, apparently, Daniel not too far behind with a worried look on his face. How nice. Jamie looked on the floor and saw the broken picture frame. "Go get the broom and dustpan," Jamie told an obedient Daniel. "Larry, are you okay?" she was looking at my much the same as she had the whole night. I could tell my state hadn't changed. Daniel came back with the broom and Jamie swept the glass and picture into the dustpan. Jamie picked up the picture and looked at it.
What was it about this picture that made Larry- OH MY GOD! I tried to focus, thinking I was seeing funny, but I wasn't. This woman looked, I gulped swallowing the huge lump that began forming in my throat, an awful lot like Ally. In fact, you could have sworn that they were, almost twins. No way, it couldn't be. "Who is this woman, Daniel?" I managed to get out, pointing at the Ally look-alike. "Oh, that's just Elisabeth," Daniel shrugged off the question, grabbing the glassless picture frame and placing it back on the table then leaving with the dustpan full of glass, leaving me standing there with the broom looking stupid and Larry still bug-eyed, one hand on his mouth. Larry looked at me, I felt for him. I really did, the poor thing must be going out of his mind. How strange though, that woman, Elisabeth, looking like Ally, how odd. "Ally, Ally," he kept whispering. He crumpled to the floor as if his legs finally gave way, sick of holding his weight and he grabbed his knees and started rocking back and forth. What WAS he thinking? It couldn't just be plain old missing her, could it? Nah, Larry wasn't THAT dependent on her, was he?
"Ally, Ally," I heard myself repeating her name over and over again, not being able to control the impulse. What was I thinking…I know what I was thinking, but, was it possible? No, it couldn't be. That's like something out of the movies Larry, come on now. Did Ally's appearance have something to do with Paul? Larry Paul, you watch WAY too many movies. But then again, Jamie DID say that Paul had gotten strange after a day or two. We have been here almost the same amount of time they have, oh my god, my Ally, my Ally…
"That was really good Paul," Ally commented on Paul's piano playing. It reminded her of Larry and it made her even more depressed that she couldn't be with him at that very moment. She was missing his arms, strength in his embrace, his tender kiss when they said I love you. Ally took a deep breath and kept that smile plastered on her face. "I'm glad you liked it! It was always my favorite, I mean other than our song," he smiled widely, indicating the song they had sung together earlier. Ally yawned and covered her mouth in surprise. "Wow, I guess I'm more tired than I thought," she looked at the clock. "It's early!" she exclaimed. Her mind wandered once again, her and Larry would be curled up on the sofa together watching a movie or something right now. Larry, she missed Larry so so so much. Paul stood up suddenly. "Well maybe your fall has made you tired," he went into a far closet and grabbed a blanket and a sheet, then came back and motioned for Ally to stand up. "Here, make up the bed out here on the couch. You can sleep here until the morning." Ally had been contemplating asking him what he was going to do with her, but she had always told herself not to; well she didn't want to wait any longer. "What ARE we doing tomorrow, and the day after that, and so on?" Ally looked at Paul surprisingly more relaxed than she had been all night. Paul looked at her, that anxiety rising in his eyes again. "Well what do YOU wanna do?" Paul asked, somewhat nervously. "Well, I wouldn't mind going down by the lake," Ally indicated the lake through the small window in the kitchen. Paul sighed, relieved, "Oh! Is that all? Well that can be arranged!" He smiled at her. "I thought you wanted to leave me again." Without realizing what she was doing, she was reassuring him, "Don't worry Paul, I'm not going anywhere, stop it with this nonsense." Paul smiled and hugged Ally. "I love you mom, please don't even leave me again. I've waited for this my whole life," he squeezed her tightly, almost cutting off her circulation. Ally pulled away gently, "Sweetheart, mommy can't breathe," she joked, causing Paul to laugh wholeheartedly, sounding just like a little boy. What a sad sad case. "Okay, well I'm gonna go to my room. You make sure you sleep, and sleep well. If we're gonna go down to the lake, you're gonna need the rest. I'll wake you up at ten in the morning so you can take a shower and get ready." Ally remembered all of her stuff was at her cabin with Larry. "But Paul, I just remembered all of my stuff is at the cabin I'm staying at," she decided to tell him about Larry. "The man I'm engaged to rented this beautiful cabin right on the water. Can we maybe," she paused, searching his eyes, "can we maybe stop there so I can pick up some of my things?" Paul looked at her incredulously. "Well I don't know about that mommy, someone might try and take you away from me again. I don't want that at all!" "Who could take me? I WANT to be with you, remember?" Ally forced out a laugh to relax Paul a bit, and succeeded, he let out a little small laugh. "Okay mommy, we'll see," he turned to walk to his room, but stopped and turned around. "I love you mommy. I'm really glad you're home." He emphasized home and it made Ally shiver. Paul turned and went to his room and shut the door.
Shit, what am I gonna do here? There's no way in hell I can sleep. I mean, if I try and leave, he might come after me and, and, do something really horrible. This is ridiculous. What am I going to do? I've been staring at the ceiling for about an hour now, wondering what to do. Oh shit, the door's creaking. I crawled under the covers and didn't move a muscle; he has to believe I'm sleeping. I peeked over the covers, trying SO hard not to be noticed and I saw him grab his coat off of the rack, and then he stopped and turned to look at me. Shit, I closed my eyes immediately. Then, about 20 seconds later, I heard the front door creak open and he went out. What the hell- The door slammed behind him and I ran up to the door to look out the peephole and see where he was going. He went to his truck, a black 4-Runner, oh shit. I remember that car; he had seen me when I went to the store that one day…oh my god! He's been waiting to take me, I HAVE to find Larry!!! I watched the car drive down the dirt path, I guess four-wheel drive comes in handy when you're camping, I couldn't help but laugh a little, then I snapped back to my senses. Okay, have to find Larry, have to find Larry. I ran to the phone in the kitchen and picked it up. I dialed Larry's cell and it told me the call could not be completed because his server was out of reach. Okay, shit. Um, OO! Call the cabin! He'll be there! I thought for a minute and realized I didn't know what the number was. Shit! OOO call information! That's it! Good Ally, keep thinking! Okay, so I dialed 0 and that lady came up. "What city please?" "Lake Winnipesaukee community," what a mouthful. I'd finally learned how to pronounce it though, so that's a bonus. "The address or name please," I gave her the address, well the machine rather, and it gave me a number in which I scribbled down frivolously. I hung up and then dialed the number to mine and Larry's cabin. It rang and rang and I wondered where the hell he was. Had he noticed I was gone? Maybe he was out having fun with some other girl. No Ally, he loves you, you can't think like that. Grrr I can't help it! What an amusing battle, to argue with yourself. I hung up the phone and ran to the door. I looked out the peephole and noticed he was still nowhere to be seen. I don't even wanna think what'll happen if I stay here. I have to get outta here!!!
