Sales Application Vendors

CRM suites for sales are made up of interrelated components and applications that assist an enterprise with its sales channels (e.g., field sales, telephone sales, selling through partners and Web sales). Accordingly, the vendors must have functionality for field sales, telesales, sell-side e-commerce (i.e., Web-based selling), partner relationship management (PRM) and industry-focused solutions (e.g., automotive, banking). It is important to note that through 2003, 75 percent of sales application deployments will involve multiple vendors. That means that the CRM suite vendor deployments will continue to have minimal effect on sales effectiveness. The CRM sales suite vendors will continue to lag in specific areas (e.g., PRM, incentive compensation and pricing functionality). The vendors and additional categories include:

Opportunity (i.e., leads or objectives), territory and account management systems

Sales solutions for consumer goods companies
