THE PERFECT CHRISTMAS

As Terri wandered around the house putting the finishing touches on their christmas decorations she couldn't help but think about how perfect this Christmas would be, Mitch had proposed, Rose had let them have Lucy for Christmas morning and quite simply Mitch and herself would be together.  Her thoughts were interupted by the unmistakable arrival of Mitch,  
"Sullivan I'm home, where are you?"  
"I'm in the lounge."  Mitch came in a few seconds later with his hands behind his back and his famous cheeky grin on his face.  "What are you up to Mitch."  "Well I saw this in the shop and I just couldn't resist." he replied.  In an instance Mitch had raced up to Terri and grabbed her around the waist so she couldn't get away then he pulled out a piece of mistletoe, put it above their heads and kissed her passionately before she had a chance to say a word.  When Mitch had let her go she found he had already walked he to their bedroom.  "Mitch don't even think about it we have to go and pick up Lucy remember?"  "She can wait for half an hour can't she?"  Mitch said before he began kissing Terri again.  Terri managed to pull herself away from Mitch's embrace, "No she can't."  So Terri and Mitch got in to their Pajero and headed off to Rose's......

There was a nervous silence as Mitch and Terri drove to Rose's, Terri hadn't told Mitch about Rose's visit to their house 2 days ago but Mitch knew Rose would almost certainly start a fight just as well as Terri did and neither of them were looking forward to it.
 
When Mitch and Terri arrived Mitch put a comforting hand on Terri's knee and gave her that cheeky smile of his, "If she starts, I'll do the tackling, you do the kicking."  "Oh Mitch, Don't be stupid."  And with that Mitch and Terri made their way up Rose's path and Mitch knocked on the door.........

Part 3......
 
Terri and Mitch were greeted by a very unfriendly looking Rose.  "I'll bring her in a second." And with that she stomped off.  "well at least she didn't start a new fight" Mitch said trying to look on the bright side.  A few minutes later Rose came down the hall holding Lucy and her baby bag which she flung in Terri's direction, she threw it to hard and ended up almost knocking Terri off her feet.  "Hey watch it." Mitch snapped angrily, he wasn't gonna let Rose treat Terri like that.  "It doesn't matter Mitch."  "Yes it does."  Terri didn't want to have a fight so she nudged Mitch in the ribs to tell him to keep quite, he got the message.  "Well we better get out of here."  "I agree."  And with that Rose slammed the door and walked away

When they got home Mitch began to make their tea and smiled to himself as he saw Terri and Lucy chasing each other around the lounge room, he loved to see Terri and Lucy getting along so well.  After dinner it was time for Lucy to go to bed so Terri took her upstairs, got her into her pyjamas and put her in their bed.  When Mitch came upstairs he found Terri reading Lucy a story, so he got into his boxers (ooooh the thought!) and quietly hopped into bed with his two girls.  After a while Lucy fell asleep and when she did Mitch got this mischevious look on his face "Why'd you let her fall asleep in here now we cant play"  "Well I'll tell you what you can go and sleep in Lucy's room and Lucy and I will have a  girls night in."  "I've gotta better idea Lucy can have our bed and we can snuggle up on the couch!"  "I think we should all just stay right here, together."  And thats exactly what they did.
