Meditation is of the soul. It is not at the level of body or mind. When the senses are calmed, the intellect silenced, and the mind peaceful, then the soul is awakened and can worship God. God is in Spirit and we may know Him only in spirit.
Our goal of life is that we are to become spirit, to live as spirit and then live in God, join God, and become one with Him. Through the meditation you will find the Kingdom of God inside. There you will find the Light of God, and also the music of God. By attending to these wonders within, you will rise above body consciousness. This consciousness is all ecstasy, beauty, glory, bliss and grace.
This body is the classroom, soul is the student, and God is the teacher. If you put your attention inside on these inner links from God for some time, you will grow toward Him to become more like Him. Be Ye perfect, even as your Father Who is in Heaven is perfect. This is the spiritual or Godly life. The purpose of meditation is to develop love. God is love and love is God, and the way back to God is also through love.
