9/22/02:

"Rafe Breaks Out of the Pod: True Love Never Dies!"

Well, first of all, let me explain why it has taken me until Sunday to get this commentary out...Friday pretty much left me speechless! Those scenes (not referring to you know what) were the absolute best scenes of Torn so far!

Of course, it all started on Thursday, actually, wait no, it started at the beginning of this week (or was it the end of last week, ahh who knows). Finally, finally, finally, Normal Rafe, who had been taken over by POD RAFE (as I like to call him when he was not acting like himself) began to break free and stop denying his feelings for Alison! And he realized that he needed to spend a day w/ Alison...he needed to figure out what exactly he was feeling for her. He needed to follow his heart!

Evil Livvie thought she could make Rafe think Alison left him for good, but he knew better, not willing to believe for a second that Alison would give up on them! And of course, Rafe saw the light. He saw Livvie's evil ways and told the bitch to SHUT THE HELL UP and that it was OVER!

Then, Rafe was worried about Alison. He knew she was out there, somewhere, hurt, and the only thing he could think about was finding her and making sure she was safe. This led him to the barn...the one place where he felt Alison would go to feel safe.

Which leads us to Thursday...Rafe admitted it to himself. He and Alison belonged together. Why did it take him so long to figure that out, he asked himself. We ask the same question, Rafe LOL

I was actually surprised that Rafe recarved the heart, b/c I had not read any spoilers about that, so that was a pleasant surprise! Livvie had sanded it off, but Rafe put it right back where it belonged! Right where it *always* belonged

Now, to Friday, the best day! And this is the part where I'm really speechless b/c the scenes were just too wonderful for words! It would be better if you could just watch me watch Friday's episode, and you would see that I have a huge smile on my face. Then you would know how much I loved it! The writers really outdid themselves, I have to say. And Brian and Erin did a fantastic job with the scene. I loved the way Rafe laughed when he said he loved her...even though he didn't remember! And the way Alison smiled. And then the kiss was....so good lol. The way Rafe remembered was beautifully done, w/ him having flashbacks of the most important times he and Alison shared...the wedding, making love, and falling in love. It was just simply beautiful. But like I say, I just can't find words to describe it.

And then, there was of course, the joy of Rafe's memory being returned and Rafe shouting that HE REMEMBERED! (Wow, we were screaming that too LOL) Then I loved how they talked about their vows and how their love survived the ultimate test. That just goes to show how pure and true their love is!

Now, I don't want to give any spoilers away, but I think even if you don't read spoilers, it is pretty obvious what will happen. Let's just say that next Friday, I can't wait to see how the writer's will top last Friday's!
