TORN on whether or not I'm gonna like all of this arc lol

Well, Torn has been on for 2 weeks now, so I decided it was time to give my opinion on how it has been measuring up so far.

I, like I have mentioned before, was seriously in the minority b/c I actually liked Superstition, well, not ALL of it, one part in particular I really hated, but I thought it was a good buildup to the reunion, you know? It was kind of like, on the first day of Super. they were apart for the first time, and then they were finally reunited at the end. Well, sorta. Rafe still didn't get his memory back, which I was hoping he was. And well, when Livvie barged into Alison's hospital room and told Alison to get her hands off her husband, I'm afraid to say that I reached for my tums again. I've waited long enough for a reunion, and I remained patient. Oh, when is that 1940s romantic ending going to happen anyway? Can't happen soon enough for me lol.

But, in light of those first difficult days when Alison found out about Rafe and Livvie, things started to look up once Rafe finally got a chance to talk to Alison. It was good to see Alison at last get a chance to talk to Rafe face to face. And this is off topic, but did anyone else notice the irony of the situation? She was at the hospital on New Year's Eve, w/ fireworks and all, and Rafe came back to her. Then here she is again, the fourth of July, stuck in a hospital bed and Rafe comes to see her. I just thought that was kinda cool. So anyway, things were really started to look up...until Livvie pulled that damn pregnancy bit. Okay, so I *knew* it was coming, I have known for weeks, a month that Livvie was going to do this, but it still gets me worked up.

Seeing Alison's heartbreak in the park was just horrible. It's like I almost felt like her. How sad is that? Rafe comes back, doesn't remember you? And he's not in Heaven anymore, at least when he was there, he could still remember you! But not anymore. So I felt Alison's pain.

But, how cute is Jack? I love how protective he is of her. If you remember, Alison stuck by Jack when he was going through all that vampire stuff, so I wasn't surprised that Jack was sticking by Alison. I thought Thursday's scene with Jack locking the two in the attic was hysterical! And thanks to Jack...we finally got one of the best Rali scenes so far in this arc!

Did you see the kiss?? I'm just so happy!! Well first of all, the part where Alison was fussing at him and calling him a doofus was funny. And I'm glad somebody finally tried to talk some sense into that boy. I mean, come on, Rafe, you've been having flashbacks of Alison for weeks now and you've never had one flashback of Livvie! (although I wish you would so you could see how much of a bitch she was to you in Secrets!) So, Rafe, you go and marry that bitch and you keep ignoring your feelings for Alison? Rafe!! What are we going to do w/ you? LOL You know, Rafe reminds me A LOT of Alison in Secrets. It's like, he keeps denying his feelings for Alison like Alison was denying her feelings for Rafe. And we all know how that little scenario ended...Alison couldn't fight it for too long. And neither will Rafe. Thank you, Alison, for asking Rafe to kiss you! I think that's just what he needed to get some kind of sense knocked into him, b/c after that, yeah, he couldn't fight it and he kissed her passionately! All I can say is that...I can't wait for Monday!

So, to answer my original question about how I am liking Torn so far. Well, I think I will like it...I mean, I'll like some of it. Like Superstition, I didn't like all of it, but most of it I did. And thank god that Alison at least knows Rafe is back. (How many times have I said that, Rachel? LOL) But I think some parts of Torn are going to be tough to watch, like you know, any scene w/ Livvie in it? (But Kudos to Kelly Monaco, she plays the best bad girl I've ever seen!) I'm just going to sit back and patiently wait for the romantic ending that JHC has promised us.

Oh, but one more thing, there is something that I do hate about Torn...it's those stupid promos! They just look so ugly! I don't know why, but that blue background and the boxes, it just makes me think of some teeny bopper magazine lol. Okay, I know that is a weird thing to compare it to, but it just looks so thrown together! I loved the promos for Super better. They were beautiful, and we even got a little Rali lovin' in them! But the ones for Torn...eww, I'm tired of seeing that stupid ? mark and seeing Livvie's face asking me what I would do? I'll tell you what I would do, I'd wring my hands around that little vixen's throat and then some...that's what I would do!
