"Naked Eyes...One-Month Report"

Hello, everyone! Well, it's hard to believe that we are almost into the second month of Naked Eyes! Time sure flies! So here is my take on the arc...

I give it an A+

I am totally loving Naked Eyes! (BTW, is anyone else totally loving that song? It's catchy!) If I had to rank NE, it would be right on up there w/ Secrets and MH. Torn was probably the arc I didn't like as much, w/ the exception of that WONDERFUL ending! It was really lovely. But back to NE, it's been great.

So far, there is the obvious...Rafe and Alison are back together. (aww)

The first few days, we got a little rali lovin... which I throughly enjoyed that *g*

Then, we got a little Rali cuteness w/ the proposal...

And now, after all of that, Rafe and Alison have grown so to speak, and their relationship is more mature now. We now can finally watch Rafe and Alison live out their dreams...living in their (nice) house, planning a wedding, building a life together...I love it!

But, I have a few complaints. Not about NE exactly, but okay, this is really bugging me. A lot of ppl have been complaining about the lack of "Rali Love" and all. Now, I'm not denying that I love a good love scene. I love that just as much as the next person, but really, I don't need to see them going at it like to make me happy. LOL

And what lack of romance are we talking about anyway? I must be watching a different show b/c I see plenty of romance. The thing about Rali is that whenever they are together, I see the love. It's just in the way they look at each other. It's the gentle touches, hugs, and little kisses we see. (EHP and BG - great job!) I don't need to see candles and music and rolling around on the sheets (or hay for that matter) in every damn scene for me to love Rafe and Alison. I saw romance the other day with the massaging scene. I saw romance when Alison gave Rafe a little kiss right in front of her mother. I saw romance when Rafe held Alison so tight in his arms, trying to comfort her. And when he was watching her sleeping, you could just see the look on his face. He wanted her pain to stop. And then the beautiful dream he gave Alison. So really, what lack of romance are we talking about, ppl? LOL

And another thing. Now I don't know if this is a popular opinion (and I hope it isn't!), but a friend of mine told me that ppl are calling Alison an "ice princess" and saying she's "cold" and "pushing Rafe away." Now, no offence to anyone who has said these things, but here is my response to that....

Yall, lighten up on my girl Alison here! Her daddy is dead and her mom is a slutty bitch. Give the girl a break, dammit!

I have not seen Alison act "cold" towards Rafe. (You must be confusing her scenes w/ Rafe w/ her scenes with her mother, and YES, Alison has been very cold twds her mother, and rightly so.) Yes, that one time she wouldn't let Rafe comfort her, but then she apologized for it, but god, she just found out her Daddy died and she didn't know how to react. And if you have ever lost someone, you know that sometimes, you just want to have a little time by yourself to grieve, but that doesn't make you a cold person. But anyway, I digress. I've seen Rafe as very supportive, and you gotta love the guy for that.

Oh, and back to the love issue...have you ever considered the reason why Rafe and Alison haven't got a big love scene (like the barn)? Well first of all, the show is 30 minutes and the airtime is even less than that w/ commercials, so not a lot of time. And second, perhaps they are holding out for the wedding night . But don't go blaming Michael Easton for lack of Rali scenes....he's yummy! And give ME some credit...if it hadn't have been for him in the first place, PC would have probably kicked it back then, and that would mean no Rali now, but that's just my opinion. (I'm just glad he's not back as a vampire, at least I hope not LOL) ME got ppl to come, and BG made them stay

Just enjoy Rali, yall! They are together now, breathe! No need to pick on every little thing you don't like. Just enjoy the cuteness of them finally being able to love each other
