The Rali Commentary
10/5/02:
"Romance 1940s style: The Love Train" Hello everybody! Hope you have been enjoying all of the great Rali scenes we've got this week! Which is the reason why I waited until this weekend to do a commentary about it. I was too busy rewatching my tape, and also, I wanted to wait until the week was over so that I could write about all of the great Rali moments!
Torn was not exactly one of my favorite arcs. I mean, there were some good scenes in Torn, don't get me wrong, but 3 months of this Livvie Crap really got to me, and I was getting impatient. I wanted Rafe and Alison to be together! I knew, however, that the ending of Torn would be romantically beautiful, and that that could only mean one thing - a Rafe and Alison reunion. So I waited, and waited, and waited, not so patiently, for 3 long months, and then, the romantic 1940s style ending that we had been waiting for finally happened!
Let me just say, I was very impressed with the ending of Torn. Oh yay, a sleep car that seemed to have come out of nowhere...how convenient! The other thing I had been looking fwd to, besides the big Rali Reunion, was the "showdown". I knew at some point, Rafe and Alison would confront Livvie about all of the horrible things she had done. That whole scene with Livvie and Alison going back and forth was great. And then of course, we all knew it was coming. Rafe has the most perfect timing in the world. He shows up just as Livvie opens the door. Then, something happened that even I, the spoiler queen, didn't see. Well, I sorta expected it would happen b/c after all, they are soulmates and Rafe *did* get to spend a lifetime with her, so yeah, in that aspect, I wasn't surprised. I just didn't know I would be treated to it on Friday! I'm talking about the proposal BTW. And of course, how could Alison possibly say no to that?! This is one wedding that I cannot wait to see. Well, until next time...

When I read spoilers about how Rafe would try to stop Alison on a train, I had a feeling we would see a scene w/ Rafe chasing after it. I don't think there could be a more beautiful way for them to reunite, with Alison pulling Rafe on board and then, the kissing...and the way he scooped her up in his arms, and the music, it was all great!
We all know what that will lead too...
But before that, the rose scene was adorable. I think Ed had something to do w/ that *wink* And the Love Train, how cute was that line? The only thing I wished we could have had is a big love scene montage, ya know, like the barn? But maybe they are waiting to give us a scene like that later...(like for a wedding night?) But all in all, I was *very* excited about that whole train ride!
I enjoyed hearing Alison really stick it to her, especially the part where she reminded Livvie that she was ALONE!
Very nice. Then, we get to enjoy the 2 of them gang up on her. It was all great!
