We shall be quite busy this summer with numerous side projects.

Mictian and myself (Sarnath) are busy writing material for "deadhouse". C.Tormentor (Aryan Tormentor) will be doing vocals for us. We will be doing a 4 song demo which we should start recording by late august. It will be very depressing and emotional black metal, in the vein of old Katatonia and Agalloch. This will only be a studio project, for there are no plans to play out as of yet.

Dalkiel and I have started the band "ISA" which will be a cross between Tiamat and DHG. It should be very weird, we will be doing all the instruments (well, mainly Dalkiel) and we plan to start playing live by fall. The live band will probably consist of other ALGOL members.

Dalkiel shall be the busiest member of ALGOL. Besides doing "ALGOL" and "ISA" full time, he has been enlisted by the viking metal band VOR VEGR to write 90% of the music, plus keyboards, lyrics, and playing live. He is also singing for Forever Mourning featuring ex: Divine Misery guitarist Ryan Chilcote. It's a mix of black/death with a drum machine (this will also be a studio project). Finally, Dalkiel has teamed up with Andy Pruitt for an ambient project. There is no name as of yet, but guaranteed it will be fucking sick and demented.

Our album, "Gorgonus Aura" will be out in early September. Red Stream will be handling most of the distribution. Check back here for more info... Ex-members Diabolus and Kadath have started the band "UMBRA WITHIN". It will be a mix of melodic black/death with heavy progessive and jazz influences. If anyone is interested, they are looking for a bassist and singer. You can reach diabolus at Belial9999@aol.com...
