The last few weeks Alex has been learning a lot. He says more words than I could possibly count now. He'll repeat just about anything and says tons on his own too. He even says "please" now (when reminded). His cutest word is "yeah." There's just something about the way he says it that makes us want to keep asking him questions just to hear that "yeah" out of him.
We went through a bad stretch of sleeping again, but about three weeks ago Daddy took over night duty and not only is Alex sleeping through the night again, he is pacifier free!
As you can tell from his "bottoms up" picture, Alex is quite the character. He is also about as stubborn as they come. There is no changing this child's mind and forget about distraction. He is independent and enjoys playing on his own. And he loves the outdoors. He comes to me with his shoes and begs to have them put on.
Alex is still the messiest eater known to mankind. He takes his sandwiches apart and attempts to eat the bread from the inside out. Nothing can be eaten without getting it all over himself and the entire kitchen. We still haven't started teaching him to use a fork. To be honest, I'm a bit scared. If he can make that much of a mess when I'm feeding him, imagine what he can do on his own!
