"Here Kitty
Kitty...."
I trusted them completely
when they called me by that name.
How was I to know
life would never be the same?
There were four of them
and only one of me.
I didn't stand a chance,
this was plain to see.
They used me for a tug of war
until they heard me pop.
I used my claws to hurt them,
hoping they would stop.
They tossed me up
into the air.
I was frightened,
they didn't care.
When I finally landed
I found I could not move.
One of them stomped on me
some obscure point to prove.
My broken tattered body
was giving up the fight.
My mind refused to grasp it.
This just couldn't be right.
Then my spirit lifted
and I could clearly see
the final torture
inflicted on my body.
My cold lifeless form
was placed beneath the wheel.
As they drove away
I was glad my body couldn't feel.
Now the torment has ended
but the pain is really starting.
I left behind a friend
that knew nothing of my parting.
Will you find my friend
and maybe try to ease
the pain and suffering.
Could you do this please?
When I cross the rainbow bridge
I'll turn, then wait to see
my friend coming over
the rainbow bridge to me.
