On March 4, 1959, Pan American Airlines Boeing Stratocruiser N1033V (S/N 15933/31) "Clipper Midnight Sun", was coming in to land at Juneau International Airport on Her scheduled run through Southeast alaska. She had a crew of five and a passenger load of five. The B377 undershot the runway and collided with an embankment. She caught fire, but all aboard escaped with no fatalities. As you can see from the FAA photos, She was a total write off. |
