Alan Schrager was born in Bristol, Pennsylvania. Grew up in Levittown, Pennsylvania, Willingboro, New Jersey and Stony Brook,(Long Island) New York. (1955-1977) A seasoned professional, Alan studied with: Pete Heywood, Al Miller, John Kasica, Bob Luther and Bobby Dominguez. Worked 8 years in the USAF Band career field at Scott AFB,Illinois and March AFB,California performing in all enselmbles (1979-1987). Since then, Alan came to the Washington DC area to become one of the most hardworking sought after Drummers and Vocalists to perform in clubs and stages around the beltway: Phil Mckusker of the Donati Orchestra(1987),Jazz Street Station/5th Avenue Band (1988), Glasshouse(on The Spirit of Washington 1989-1990),The Our Pleasure Top 40 Band (1990-1997), NightShift(1994-1999)and 3RDegree(2002-present). NOTABLE ACCOMPLISHMENTS: Appeared on"Nationally Televised Merv Griffin Shows" with: Patti Andrews, Robert Goulet, Scott Grimes, Joey Lawrence, William Shatner, Jack Sheldon, Dinah Shore and Mel Torme.{Under Musical Direction of: Merv Griffin, Mort Lindsey, Henry Mancini, and Peter Matz}. "The Bob Hope Celebrity Dinner Show" with: Billy Barty, Jennifer Green, Herb Jeffries, Ella Mae Morse, Buddy Rodgers, Alex Trebek, and Johnny Yune. "Caesar's Palace" Las Vegas,Nevada. "B-1 Rollout" with Jimmy Stewart. "Century City Plaza" with: Tennesee Ernie Ford, Lorne Greene, Ann Jillian, Richardo Montelban and John Schuck. "The Playboy Jazz Festival" in Los Angeles, California.
