“Step, I just want you to know in case we don’t get out of this, I think you’re doing a great job.”This was in chapter 4 what this meant was that he was a coffemaker and he never went into battle. When he did everyone knew he wouldn’t know what he was doing or he wouldn’t be good at it. Until when he is finally out their he does a good job. Nobody expected him to live a minute I think until he proved it to them.

“Your okay, Stubby? You okay?” In chapter 4 Heard asks this when stabbing is so pissed off. He stands up, cursing at the full throttle as he stepped back out into the alley and resumed firing at the window.  He was mad saying that son of a bitch almost killed me. He was mad because well if someone shot at you how would you feel. Stabbing is doing a good job and heard just wants to know if he is okay.

“Where’s This guy shooting from, dude”? In chapter 4 stabbing doesn’t know where the guy is shooting from. So he asks heard but then the Delta marksman said I’ve got it covered. He fires a shot and there is an explosion . Stab and heard say good shot and then he leads out.  All this time stabbing was trying to fire at the window and didn’t work until the delta marksman came in the picture.

“ They need a medic, Wildy” In chapter 5 Wilkinson gets a call and they say this. I think they were really short of medics because a lot of people were getting hurt. He had to go across the intersection to the men across Marehan Road. He folded up his kit and started moving even if he was scared of getting shot with an RPG.  Wilkinson was good at his job and he didn’t give up.

“Cover me,” In chapter 5 Wilkinson says this because he is running across the intersection. RPG s are exploding everywhere. The Sammies would probably think ahead of him and think that he was fast. In fact he wasn’t so he thought his buddies would probably laugh about that later. Finally he gets their and first he knew that Rodriguez needed help first. Then he realized he needed more fluids.
“ I guess it’s a dud”, In chapter 2 they talk about a Russian type of grenade that looks like a soup can on an end of a stick. What this meant was that the grenade didn’t explode that it malfunctioned. It was supposed to blow up but it didn’t. What it means to me is that it’s a fake or it just didn’t work properly. In this case dud would probably mean malfunction grenade.

“Piddle-asked mortars”, In Chapter 2 General garrison seemed to regard mortars as little more than an annoyance. He had walked  around casually during the mortar attacks. He was amused by the way everyone dove for cover.  Well if samiel ever got his act together and managed to drop a few on the hangar, there’s be hell to pay.

“ Im hit”, In chapter 3 Nelson saw smith get hit. Most of the men at the corner heard the round hit him, a hard , ugly slap. He seemed startled at first. He was sunrise to see that he was hit. From where nelson was it didn’t seem like he was hit that badly but he was. So this quote meant what it said , smith getting hit and him yelling it out with surprise.

“We can’t go any farther, sir . We have mor wounded than I can carry”. This quote from chapter 3 is about the battle when too many are hurt and they cant have anymore wounded. They needed to push on but their was just to many dead . They couldn’t do anything about it at that time except go back which wasn’t possible. They had to push on for the sake of everyone or more would die.

“Oh shit!Oh,shit! I’m gonna die! Im gonna die!”. In chapter 3 smith is saying this because he knew he had arterial bleed. The medic talked to him to try to calm him down. The only way to stop the bleeding was to find was to find the severed femoral artery and clamp it.  The medic told him to lean back and that his is going to have to cause him more pain to help him.

“It hurts really bad,” This quote from chapter 3 smith was starting to lose a lot of blood . Every time they went into him he would lose more blood . He was going into shock because all the blood loss. Schmid had squeezed sex liters of fluid into the younger Ranger and was running out of bags. In time his words and movements came slowly.

“Man, God really does love medics,”In chapter 5 one of the D-boys says this. I think it is because he dashes across the street like 2 times unhurt. He probably believes that god is just saving him from the RPG’s. Which is probably true because you cant just go across all those bullets and not get hurt. So he is lucky because he saves lives so god saves his life.

“Hey, not my boots!” In chapter 6 Wilkinson is sliding stabbing boot off. What stabbing doesn’t know that he has a golf ball size hole in his foot. Wilkinson had to cut the boot of that’s why he says this. The reason is because he cant just take it off it would hurt even more and it would be hard to do it. He thinks its just a minor wound but it isn’t .

“Whoop!” In chapter 7 Floyd jumped a foot. He felt down, afraid to take his eyes off the road ahead. The round hadn’t even scratched him so he was relieved. He was grateful for not getting hurt. He was frightened that he would get hurt.

“Im not sending anyone back outside,” In chapter 10 Steele tells them this because too many people have gotten hurt. If I was him I wouldn’t send them out either unless someone is hurt or something. Steele says is their a back way out. Their was too many bullets flying in the front to use it.
