The owner has eight cams around his house: two outdoor, two on his desk, two in the kitchen, one for his cats and one for the desktop of his computer. Next to it he is registering everything that happens: how often the doorbell rings, the fridge is opened, the phone is rings, the toilet is used. The 14.,110 feet (4,233 meters) high Pikes Peak was discovered in 1806 by lieutenant Zebulon Montgomery Pike. The informative Pikes Peak Cam site tells that he called the mountain 'Great Peak', but did not succeed to climb it; "no one could" - until 1820. In 1893 Katherine Lee Bates was so inspired by the view from the top that she composed 'America the Beautiful'." Today you can come there by rail, car of foot. The 26 mile record by foot, up and down, is three hours and 24 minutes.
