MOVIES SO BAD YA GOTTA SEE 'EM!!!

I've had a couple trade requests for this movie over the last month or so, and I've decided to feature it in the WORST OF THE WORST to see if I can figure out why. Because if you ask me, this movie is pretty crappy and just like 100 other readily availible Kung-fu videos and doesn't seem worth the trouble of a trade.
Me, I'm not even sure where I got it. Probably it was given to me or else I bought it for a buck or two with some other cheap crappy videos when one of the local video store bought the bullet to the Mega-Hollywood video stores. In any case this time our video is:

PASSAGE OF THE DRAGON

Now if you are a big fan of mindless chop-sewy Kung-Fu flicks, where everyone knows Kung-fu and fights at the drop of a hat, well then, you won't be disappointed with this one. There is Kung-Fu fightin' a'plenty! If you are looking for plot, well this one is rich in plot too. Don't ask me to try and figure it out for you though, cause if you ask me there is too much freakin plot, so that none of it makes much sense. You have something or someone (you get that Friday the 13th killer-point-of-view murder scenes) killing people, you have two rival villages, you have a old Kung-fu master and his daughter (who has a long lost twin brother), there is a couple groups of baffons for comic relief (who later go on to master kung-fu styles to avenge one of their fallen friends), you have this evil kung-fu master (who turns streams black when he takes a shower) and his bunch. I mean maybe if there wasn't a fight every five minutes I could pay attention enough to ravel a complete story together, but with the atrocious (and hilairious) dubbing, I doubt it.

Why would anyone want this crap?

Well ya got me. I'm not even sure where anyone would have heard of it other than as a name on my page (and believe me, if you asked me about it, I would have told you the above). It's not even on the IMDb, to the best of my knowledge. Maybe that's it though, seeing a movie so obscure its never even been heard of before has always been a thrill for me.
It stars Jacky Lui . Whoever that is. More than half of all Asian action stars are named Jacky (or Bruce) and I'm not even sure who he is in the movie. So maybe people might confuse him with someone else. It does have a guy named Han Kok-Choi in it who might be confused with Kwok-choi Han of WE ARE GOING TO EAT YOU fame (who knows, maybe it is even the same guy).
A movie this great has two directors (I wonder if they both had the same script). Now this could be it because they were Lam Hung (whoever that is) and Pasan who could be the same Pasan aka Pasha who did stunts on such flicks as Fled (1996) and Live Wire (1992). Big wow, though this movie looks like it was made in the '70s so maybe someone might want to see his early work if they were a fan.
By the odd chance someone has heard of it, the mysterious killing type element might make them think this is a Kung-fu/Horror flick. But that part of it is pretty weak and it is no where near the likes of WE ARE GOING TO EAT YOU or THE LEGEND OF THE SEVEN GOLDEN VAMPIRES.
But when it comes down to it. The only real reason for watching a movie like this is the KUNG FU. All those cool styles, Monkey, Tiger, Dragon, etc kick ass...and this movie has it's share of that!!!
