Karak was born the third son of Tr’Q, a fierce warrior
renowned among Klingons for the glorious deeds he committed on the Empire’s
borders with the Romulans. Before Tr’Q could rise much higher, however, he
involved himself with the House of Duras during the Klingon Civil War. He and
his first son Moh’Ka were ambushed and died aboard their battlecruiser awaiting
supplies that never came. The House of Dsh’tQ lost much honour when it was
revealed that Romulans had played a part in the Civil War, but its lands were
not seized and no titles were revoked, one of Chancellor Gowron’s more merciful
decisions. All the same, Karak found it too difficult to remain on Qo’nos while
his father was still being called a traitor. He left shortly after his brother
TjaQ’h assumed the leadeship of House Dsh’tQ and enlisted in the Klingon
Defence Forces
CAREER
Karak served as a gunner aboard the IKS K’Tok from the date of his enlistment on, earning himself many honours in the performance of his duties. In 2368 he transferred to the IKS Plet’rHaq as her Assistant Chief Security Officer and served superbly, putting down a mutiny almost single-handedly in 2370. His commanding officer rewarded his actions by handing him a promotion and the Chief Security Officer’s positions, to which he added chief gunner. Karak rose to the position of second officer aboard the Plet’rHaq, but his career came to a screeching halt in 2374 when the House of Dsh’tQ was dishonoured by TjaQ’h. Karak had his rank and powers stripped from him and he was dismissed from duty.
Oddly enough, he chose to enlist in
Starfleet not long after his dismissal, and he has been making his worth as a
Tactical officer apparent on such various ships as the Vanguard and the
Eustace, as well as on his current assignment Starbase 565
