Jeff: Trish!
He immediately pulls her into the dressing room and closes the door, and is leaning down to kiss her when the other inhabitants of the room make their presence known.
Matt: Do we really need to see that?
Lita: Yeah Jeff, at least wait until we’re out of the room.
Jeff contents himself with a hug instead and then turns to face his brother and his brother’s girlfriend.
Jeff: Fair enough.
Jeff stares at Matt and Lita for a minute but they don’t get the hint.
Jeff: Well? Don’t you two have somewhere you need to be?
Matt and Lita break out laughing.
Lita: We can tell when we’re not wanted. We’ll leave you two alone.
Matt: Just be careful. Remember, no one knows about you two yet.
Jeff: Did you forget that we have a kissing scene scheduled for next week, when Trish thanks me for defending her? We’ll just tell them we’re rehearsing.
Matt: Well don’t rehearse too much. We don’t want you to tire yourself out before our match.
Jeff: I’ll try not to.
Matt: I’m sure you will.
He pats his little brother on the shoulder as he leads Lita to the door. The second their audience disappears Jeff captures Trish’s mouth in a long lingering kiss.
Jeff: I’ve missed this.
Trish: Me too. It’s so hard to sneak moments alone like this. That’s why I hate that we have to keep our relationship a secret.
Jeff: It’s just for a little while longer, until our storyline officially gets started. If Vince finds out about us now he could put a stop to it, and then we’ll never get to work together.
Trish: Matt and Lita are so lucky. They didn’t get together until after their on-screen characters did, so even if Vince wanted to break them up, he couldn’t at that point without upsetting the fans. It’ll be so great to hold hands in public like them without looking suspicious.
Jeff: We just have to be patient and our time will come.
Trish: Speaking of time, shouldn’t you be getting to the ring soon?
Jeff: Yeah, in a couple of minutes.
Trish: I’m gonna go then, before someone catches us together. I’ll come see you after your match.
Jeff: And then we can practice our first on-screen kiss?
Trish: You bet.
After a quick kiss goodbye, Trish forces herself away from Jeff and leaves his dressing room.
