I know Why The Caged Bird Sings Maya's Angelou memoir I know Why The Caged Bird Sings is a great book becuase she has went throught differnet things in her life like racism and child abuse and etc.Maya playes herself in the book and also has a brother in the book named Bailey. Maya and Bailey moved to Stamps, Arkansas, St Louis,Missouri& San Francisco, California.Maya and Bailey move to Stamps to live with their grandmother.One day their father come to Stamps to get his kids back. Maya was afraid of big city life becuase she lived so much in Stamps that it was hard for her.Maya went back to St.Louis when her mother's boyfriend Mr. Freeman.Mr Freeman had sexually abusing her twice. Maya took this to courtand her mother has some surprises for Mr. Freeman with some local gangsters.The Next time in court Maya was telling the court that Mr.Freeman only touched her once and so lost a lot that day also the trust and respect of her brother.After this Bailey and Maya were shipped to Stamps to live with their grandmother.Both of them were shipped to California now to live Mother Dear after they went differnet ways. Maya was living with her father and his girlfriend Dolores. Maya and Dolores didn't like each other. So Maya ended up running away to live in an old car lot with some guys. Maya ask one od her classmates if they would have sexual intercourse with her and after that she was pregant. She didn't want to tell her mother till after graduation. where she had a baby boy. I think that moving aorund didn't help the two because they got out of trouble just to get into more trouble. So i think they were better suited to live in Stamps then moving around.
