"Senses"

Little one, little one, tell me what you see.
- A thousand yards a baby ant waves its feelers at me.

Little one, little one, tell me what you hear.
- Four doors down I hear the sound of a solitary tear.

Little one, little one, tell me what you smell.
- Yesterday, upon the rug, some apple juice here fell.

Little one, little one, tell me what you taste.
- Egg and milk and sugar from a cake eaten in haste.

Little one, little one, tell me what you feel.
- Tiny irregularities along a length of steel.

Little one, little one, could you ask for more?
- Someone to help me understand what else will be in store.
