Distribution : South-western area of Western Cape, from just east of Cape Agulhas to Clanwilliam in the north (Map 1).

Remarks : The chameleons presently regarded as B. pumilum appear to belong to three taxa. The extralimital Walvis Bay specimens appear to be the typical form and were probably introduced as pets or accidentally in agricultural products. Introduced urban populations have also been discovered at Springbok and Port Nolloth since the report was completed (H.Thomas, pers. comm.).
