40 Hour Community Service

My name is Fay Rath. I have lived in community of Dorchester since 1959, in Porter's Subdivision. I am the co-ordinator of Adoption Roots & Rights, a volunteer/search/support group. This group is dedicated to helping people separated by adoption to reconnect with birth family members. This is a not-for-profit organization.

Adoption Roots & Rights is an eligible organization to accommodate Thames Valley Secondary School students to attain the 40 hour community service segment of their secondary school diploma.

Adoption Roots & Rights collects and recycles pop cans to offset the cost of the group's internet services.

Variety of Tasks

* remove pop tin tabs and crush tins (tin crusher available)

* deliver flyers

* help assemble newsletters

* scan data to publish on website

Both girls and boys are welcome.

Douglas, DOB March 10, 1955, London, Ontario Douglas is the birth name. He was placed with his adoptive parents on July 15, 1955.
Your brother Derrick would like to meet you.  He also is an adoptee, born in 1960.  He is reunited with both birth mother and birth father.  These reunions have been positive experiences.  Derrick and you share the same birth father.
Since he was born *after* you were born you are probably not aware that you have a brother who was also placed for adoption.
