5/17 Trail Work - Mill City, meet in Mr. Ruff's shop after school. Leaving for Mill City at 3:20. Limited amount of space available... contact Chris Sandmel. We'll be making 1/4 mile of trail for the high school race and then ride the high school course.

5/20 Coast Hills Classic MTB Race - Newport, meet at Cascade at 6:15 A.M. Anyone and everyone should come and race to help us defend our undefeated high school title. 10 miles of gravel road/trails, $6, need signed OBRA release form. Limited number of loaner bikes available, please e-mail sandme@juno.com or call 503-743-2540 to borrow one. Back by 7:00 P.M.

6/2-3 Race Across Oregon - Portland, race starts at 5:00 A.M. for solo riders and 9:00 A.M. for team riders. 508 miles. You must have been registered for this event far in advance, so all you can do now is cheer the team on.p> 6/9 High School State Championship MTB Race - Mill City, we need both volunteers and racers. Volunteers can do registration, scoring, or tell people where to go on the course. If anyone helps, they get free pizza and pop after the race. As far as racing, we need more girls and boys. 7.5 miles of gravel road, pavement, and trail - $5.

7/8 Santiam Pedalfest MTB Race - Mill City, we need volunteers to help with registration, scoring, and telling people where to go on the course. Everyone that helps gets free pizza and pop if they stick around after the race.

Monday Road Rides - Every Monday, meet in front of CHS by 3:30 p.m. for an easy 10-15 mile road ride. We go around the area at a pace everyone can do. All skills levels are welcome, including first timers. This is a great way to build up a base for mountain biking.

Wednesday Road Rides - Added by popular demand... every Wednesday, meet in front of CHS by 3:30 p.m. for an easy 10-15 mile road ride. We go around the area over different types of terrain.

Saturday Road Rides - Every Saturday, meet at the Red Lot in Salem for a 25-65 mile road ride with the Salem Bicycle Club. Intensity and distance are different every week, but the meeting time is always 10:00 a.m. These rides are a more difficult than the weekday rides.

12/29 Mountain Bike Ride - Philomath, meet at Cascade at 9:00 A.M. Ride open to all skill levels and great for first timers. Limited number of loaner bikes available, please e-mail sandme@juno.com to borrow one. Back by 5:00 P.M.

12/22 Mountain Bike Ride - Mill City, meet at Cascade at 9 A.M. ~8 mile ride open to all skill levels and great for first timers. Lots of mud... back by 4 P.M.

10/21-22 Metolious River Bike Trip - Overnight mountain bike trip at Metolious River, located west of Sisters. Done in conjunction with the Boy Scouts of America. Mileage varies, but consists of fire roads and trails going around Suttle Lake and the surrounding area. Riders of all skill levels are invited, including first timers. We will be leaving Aumsville Elementary School at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. We will be back by 2:00 p.m. on Sunday.

9/29 Mountain Bike Ride - TBA

9/24 Scotty Graham Memorial MTB Race/OBRA Finals - This is the last MTB race of the season and located at Mt. Hood. Series awards will be handed out here. Free Sobe beverages, Clif Bars, and raffle. ~10/19/25 miles of singletrack for intermediate to advanced skill level. Leave CHS at 5:30 a.m. on Sunday.

9/17 Coos Classic MTB Race - Non-series MTB race located in Coos Bay, OR. Leave at 4:30 a.m. from Chris Sandmel's house on Sunday. Back by 7:00 p.m. ~18 miles of singletrack for intermediate to advanced skill level.

9/15 Mountain Bike Ride - Mill City, meet in the auto shop and leave by 3:30 after school. ~10 mile ride open to all skill levels and great for first timers.
