BUSINESS QUIZ:
Participation: 10 per class (20 overall)
Idea: Each participant is asked a series of questions. The overall marks of
all participants from both classes are added to determine, which team wins.
Questions to be made by Mr. Prabhu.

PROJECT WORK:
Concept: PPT presentation
Participants: 8 per class (16 overall)
Topics: 1. Entrepreneurship & intrepreneurship; 2. BPO’S. (division
‘A’) ;
1. India-China in 2020; 2. Rise of the Indian rupee and Sensex. (division ‘B’)
Four participants to present on 1 topic.
Presentation should be upto 15 minutes.
Points to be given to the teams on quality of matter, research, presentation
style, speech etc.
Team 1- Vaibhav, Aditya, Sankalp, Aarti
Team 2 – Viraj, Laveena, Aakash, Sangeet
DEBATE:
Participants: 5 per class (10 overall) + 1 host + audience (5 per class = 10
overall)
Topic: budget 2005
1 class is for it, and the other against it.
Idea: 3 rounds
Round 1- Each participant gives his views, based on whether he is for it, or
against it. (2 minutes)
Round 2- Participant of 1 class, questions a participant of the other class.
This is an alternating procedure. Each participant answers 1 question, and asks
1 question. So overall 20 questions exchanged in this round.
Round 3- Question-answer session from audience (1 question asked to each participant,
compulsory).
Host gives his final statement on both the views.
Points to be given on basis of content, research, presentation, speech, debate
etc.
The audience will comprise of the people doing the business quiz. Overall 5
people of the audience from 1 class, will question the participants of the other
class and vice-versa.

GROUP DISCUSSION (UNPREPARED)
Participants: 6 per class (10 overall) + 1 host + audience (5 per class = 10
overall)
Topic: 5 topics from which to choose from are – 1.sting operations. 2.should
cell phones be allowed in schools and colleges. 3. views on VAT 4. is failure
needed, to succeed, more important OR is the continuous habit of success more
important? 5. born leader or leadership can be developed?
Idea: 2 rounds
Round 1- Each participant gives his views

compulsory). Audience to comprise of participants in business quiz. Overall
5 people of the audience from 1 class, will question the participants of the
other class and vice-versa.

GROUP DISCUSSION (PREPARED)
Concept: Model United Nations.
Participation: 5 per class (10 overall) + 1 host + audience (5 per class = 10
overall)
Topic: Impact of Free trade and Globalization
Idea: Each participant represents a country, (1 class represents 5 such countries
that does not support it, and the other class represents 5 such countries that
supports it). Countries to be chosen by the director of the event.
3 Rounds:
Round 1- positive or negative impact on each country.
Round 2- Question-answer session from audience (1 question asked to each participant,
compulsory).
Round 3- Best speaker from each class comes forward (director decides). There
is a 1 on 1 debate, with both participants questioning and answering each other.
Job of the host is to act as mediator. Host ends discussion by making his final
statement on both views. Points to be given on basis of content, research, presentation,
speech, debate etc.
