The hands reflect each individuals unique character. Through palmistry one can understand another indiviguals complexities. For starters, the first thing you want to do is see to it that the both of you are relaxed & comfortable. Sit beside each other, so that the hands your examining are upright. Then make sure you have good lighting. Also that the light shines in the direction of the palms that your reading. It is important to relate to someone when doing a reading, But never in a judgemental way. It is truly the beauty of life the fact that there are many different people of charactor, personality & life styles. Remember to never insist on reading someones palms who clearly does not want to be.
The reading starts with an overview of the hands fingers & thumbs. Firstly, how does the owner naturally hold their hands? Does it spray open or do they stay relativly closed? Ones overall persoality is easily reflected in the hands. If their hands are open then most likely so is the personality, this is a friendly, receptive, & generous person. If the hands are closed and the fingers don’t open up with a little tug when pulled away from the palm, this person may be a little wary or a reading, is usually less; willing to reach out, spontaneous, open minded, responsive to change.
Shapes & Sizes
When looking over the owners hands for size comparison, so this in relation to the owners body size. A person with smaller hands have a natural impatience of others, If the finger nails are short also they have a large lack of patience. Smaller hands belong to persons that are high achievers, with a skill of organization & able to direct others. This person is a quick thinker, not into anything that demands detailed thought. Smaller hands are often warm.
Largher hands tend to be cool. They often belong to someone with an ifinety for intricate work. These hands are good at detailed things. People with broad hands are usually the outdoor type, they need a since of phyisical freedom. Owners of narrow hands like being indoors, you’ll find these hands belong to home schoolers, people who work at home.
Moving along to the fingers. There are four basic types of fingers to look for when looking over the hands: Pointed, Spatulate, Conic, & Square. Someone with pointed fingers tend to be emotionaly sensetive, unrealistic, has trouble coming to grips with reality, over idealistic point of view. (See picture below) A person with spatulate fingers are enthusiastic, they have a lot of positive energy that effect others in the same way, they are adventureous & original people.(See picture below) Conic fingers belong to compasonate people,which in some instances makes them vulnerable, they are spontaneous, intuitave & quick thinkers.(see picture below) Square fingers belong to people of a practical nature, very organized, punctual, & a realistic attutude towards life.(see picture below) Along with shapes of the fingers each are also named afer a planet(see the key below). The symbol called Mercury & corresponds with the little finger. It is connected to sexual matters, communication, and matters of the mind. The symbol representing the sun also represents the third or ring finger. A lot like in tarot the sun rules your capacity for happiyness, & has a lot to do with your non-artistic creative urges, could be gardening, building, or even childbirth. The symbol called saturn which rules the second or middle finger corresponds with balance and responsability. It holds the border between our external & inner selves. The symbol Jupiter belongs to the first or index finger. It is linked to ambition, religion, selfconfidence. Also, when looking at the fingers also take into account the placment of the fingers. See if they are straight or leaning over to one side or another. A straight finger(one that is not leaning over to a nieghboring finger) will be stronger in the quality associated with it. A finger that is leaning will have more of a concern pertaining to that neighboring finger. It can also mean a very strong quality in itself if it is straying away from the others(meaning the mercury or jupiter fingers). Thumbs Your thubs share the same basic interpretation as the fingers do when it comes to shapes it just intensifies the reading on that part. There are two types of thumbs the stiff & supple jointed. The easier the thumb bends backwards way from the hand the more supple it is, And visa versa. When it is more supple the more open or receptive this person is. They are flexible and unconventional. This person tends to be honest, generous with a tendancy to give to much of themselves to the point of appearing unreliable. Someone with stiff jointed thumbs are not as friendly as the other type, they tend to be stubborn, they lack patience in others, have strong opinions, are very determined though even a person with the stiffest joint can loosen up with time. The top section or phalange of the thumb relates to logic reasoning. The bottom section pertains to will. Which ever of the two is longest will be of greater influence. Felxibility should also be taken to account here. Apply the same rules above to the top and bottm sections of the thumb. For instance, If the lower section is looser than the top the the owner will be more adept in thier skills for situations that need logic or reasoning.
