If only I kept a jornal every day. Today I learned that you shouldn't expect a lot from a day, but try as much as you can to get done in a day. Don't expect to get everything done though! I also learned that going to sleep isn't an end, it's actually just a period of status. what do you think a person outside our galaxy would see looking at earth in fast motion? A ball spinning with people moving and stopping moving and stoping. Like a cycle. But things would change as time goes by. The fundamental elements: change and time. So what does sleep feel like an end? is it because for a moment the world disappears and we don't know what happens? (by the way, I need to finish the book Invisible man.. just a side thought) well, here's an inside tip. Sleep is just a moment where you disappear mentally, maybe go somewhere or do something, or just take a break and log off. You should also look foward to sleep as a movie goer looks forward to seeing a movie. But back to the universal theme. Just to think that a day's end isn't really an end... we've just put too much emphasis on the sun and the fact we are non-noctunal creatures. consider this, lets say that you could live 24/7/365/13.5 billion years.... what would you experience? a morning and an afternoon in the sense of a day and a night? would life be working during the day and spending the night having fun in the house, watching late night tv and visiting friends and family (remember everyone here is away 24/7)... just think of how different it would be. but the main factor that is pressing is the fact that there is no end. sure, there was a beginning... somewhere... (maybe?...) but there is no end. no end to a day, no end to a month, no end to a year -- not even an end to a life! Things just "appear" to "end". That's what's so amazing. Sleep is like those moments in a day where you take a slight break, breath, chat, or close your eyes and relax. Another important realization is that the only thing that seperates me or you is space. at this very moment thousands of people are talking. just imagine yourself walking around a mall at noon ... anywhere in the world (almost anytime ... must take into consideration the oceans have noon's too) At any given moment you can be basking in the sunlight of our local star. Maybe even on a beach. Even at night where you are, it's day somewhere else. just thing of that. If you where in a spaceship travelling around the sun with nothing in between you and the sun except space you would see the sun 24/7/365 for as long as you want! No night at all! No afternoon, no morning, just the sun always in the same location. (Please note the ship would have to slowly be turning as it orbits the sun so that one side always faces the sun -- and you're on that one side or on the top). So take this into concept, the distance is the only thing between you any anything else. Lets say you wanted to go somewhere like another galaxy. If you were able to skip the distance, you'd be there in ... well, just about 0.000000001 seconds. However long it takes you to just 'be there'. Want to visit star forming regions? You're there. Just skip the distance. It's a concept that's amazing. Lets take for example if you invented something that could make distance disappear or shrink or become something so insignificant when you want to go to some location ... you'd be able to go practically anywhere in the universe! But for now, I'll leave it at that. I must go now. Time to prepare for a flight. But I'll leave this thought down. The distance to another place on Earth is really insignificant compared to the distance to somewhere else -- spacewise. |
