Important Information:

First, let me get a few things straight. If you like Aeris, then get this: I DON’T. Aeris is not in the story (at least when I wrote this she wasn’t), and if I bring her back I will just kill her for the sheer fun of it. Anyone who does like her might as well stop reading now.
Second, if you are a innocent little 11-year old and under, STOP READING NOW. I mean it. I’m not a sick person, and I don’t want to warp the minds of the little guys and girls who read this story. To be honest, it’s not that bad, but I’ve not written all of it yet, and it might get worse as time goes on.
Thirdly, I would like to say that CLOUD AND TIFA DO NOT GET MARRIED IN THIS BOOK. I do like the idea of them getting together, but unfortunatly it never happened in the game so it won’t happen now.
Lastly, SEPHIROTH is in this novel. I thought I might tell you just to take up space.
If anyone is still interested in this story, then read on for the plot and characters. (There are some new ones.)

Plot:

It’s five years after the game and things have quietened down. In my story, Rufus DID get killed, Shin-Ra DID collapse, Bugenhagen DID die and Cloud DID NOT get married to Tifa. These are some of the more obscure parts of the game which could have gone either way.
Anyway, Cloud and the group were recognised as savers of the world and are considered as heroes by all. Things have sort of cleared up, the group now lives in Rocket Town (for the simple reason that most other places were blown up or just plain boring.)
I don’t really want to spoil the rest of the story, mainly because parts of the plot don’t sound too good when you read them in short form. I haven’t finalised some of the story either. Read on, then, for the characters. (Old and new.)

Characters:

Cloud Strife
Ex-mercenary. 27 years old. What more can be said, really?

Tifa Lockheart
Born in Nibelheim, she is a martial arts fighter who can ‘decimate almost any enemy with her fists’. She has strong feelings towards Cloud, but has kept that fact a secret for the past five years.

Barrett Wallace
Barrett is getting a bit old, but he’s still as loud-mouthed as ever. Barrett’s Gun Arm is able to punch holes in the strongest armour.

Red XIII
Red is older, stronger, and a bit wiser following the death of his Grandpa, Bugenhagen. He relies on his claws and teeth to see him through.

Commander Grissom
Joint leader of the Knights of the Peace; a group of chivalrous warriors searching for the ultimate power. Grissom carries a heavy steel sword. His fighting talents surpass all but Cloud and Sephiroth.

Commander Duane
Joint leader of the Knights of the Peace. Together with Grissom, he leads the Knights of the Peace recklessly into the Nibelheim nountains. His expert use of a staff has felled many enemies. Duane is a commanding figure and has won several medals in the field of combat. Though Grissom has no secret motives, Duane seems to have a hidden agenda...

Dixon
A beautiful 12-year old from Kalm, Dixon often travels to the Mythrill Mines in search of adventure. Her left arm is scarred due to a run in with a Midgar Zolom when she was ten.

Kim
An outcast from Kalm, she is one of Dixon’s closest friends.

Reeve
The alias of ‘Cait Sith’ is no use to him any more, so Reeve goes around with the group himself now. Instead of a Mega-phone as a weapon, Reeve prefers a Shin-Ra Development Prototype: the Riot fist, which amplifies the strength of his punches ten-fold.

Yuffie Kisaragi
Yuffie is my favourite character of all. However, some people might find Yuffie annoying so she is in it as much as anyone else. Yuffie has matured in five years, but is essentially the same lovable character. She doesn’t steal the materia, though.

Sephiroth
The name says it all, Sephiroth is the coolest bad guy ever. He was killed five years ago. Or was he? Or Was He? OR WAS HE?

Vincent Valentine
Another cool character, Vincent was killed, enhanced and bought back to life. He can now change into a monster a will.

Cid Highwind
My second favourite character, Cid is a tough-talking, warm-hearted pilot who hasn’t forgotten his dreams. Cid’s spear does major damage to enemies. Cid’s ship is the Highwind and is named after himself.

Elena, Rude and Reno
Ex-Shin-Ra operatives who, among other things, searched for potential candidates for S.O.L.D.I.E.R, and elite fighting force.

Lori
A soft-hearted woman from Junon, Lori’s husband died several years ago when Weapon attacked the harbour.

Craig, Nicholas and Anthony
Several young men from Fort Condor, Criag and his friends are drawn into the battle for the Planet.

General Thomas
A retired general living in Mideel, he is forced to fight for his home and his planet when Sephiroth kills his wife.
