Chapter 1: Memories Are The Past
“ Hello, what can I do for you? “ Asked the shopkeeper.
“ Ummm, Do I know you? “ A young girl asked in reply.
“ I don’t think so, “ The shopkeeper said, feeling a little awkward.
The girl walks off weakly, not saying a word, leaving the shopkeeper
dumbfounded. The girl looked around the lonely streets of Nibelheim, not
knowing where she was or how she got there. As she starts walking down
a street toward the outside of the town, something flickers in her mind.
Have I been here before, she wondered? Everything looked so familiar,
the old beaten mansion, the gates guarding it, and the graveled street
itself. She paused for a moment to think, but no specific memories surfaced
so she continued onward.
“ Hey, kid where do you think you’re going, out there all there is
are mountains and beasts, no kid could survive out there, “ A man said,
behind the girl.
“ But, I think I’ll go, “ The girl said blankly, and walked of toward
the mountains.
As the girl wonders towards the mountains, she hears a faint whisper,
that grows, and she recognizes that it’s many whispers. Only one though
catches her ear, it seeming to be talking to the girl.
“You forgot about us Aeris, “ The man’s voice whispered. “ You forgot
about Cloud, Vincent, Yuffie, Cait Sith, everyone. “ It sound, seeming
to get weaker. But it was the exact opposite; the girl was becoming weaker,
and soon falling in to a deep state of unconsciousness.

The innkeeper’s face peered at the young girl, showing pity. The girl’s
eyes slowly focused and noticed she was in the inn of a different town.
“Where am I?” She asked sleepily.
“ Well, in Gongoga, the grave town,” He said.
“ Ho, how did I get here?” She asked, with a little more awareness.
“ We found you near the beginning of Cosmo Canyon. “ The man said,
with a hint of impatience. “I don’t have time for 20 questions, this stay
is free of charge, but I would appreciate it if you would open up this
bed for another customer. “ He said, with even more impatience.
The girl got up and walked down the flight of stairs, and exiting the
inn, seeing the next customer, a young kid and a Teenager. Outside the
Inn the girl sees yards of graves.
Again millions of voices in her head. Yet again the one voice stood
out in her head.
“ Search the graves, and you’ll find them, “ It said, the girl having
no idea what she meant.
Yet she walked across the graves, looking at each grave, and each time,
the voices lessened. Soon she was at the end of the graveyard, at 2 graves.
Both engraved.
Cloud Strife

Voices forever in her head
Everything was eerily silent, as if everything had stopped. The
girl was looking at Aeris’s grave, as if transfixed by it. The same
voice that had been accompanying this girl spoke up.
“ Our friend is here, “ It said. It broke the girl’s transfixion and
she noticed the growling beast in front of the graves. It leaped on the
girl and making her fall on the rough ground, the beasts claws seeping
inches into her skin, feeling a searing hot pain in her chest, but holding
her scream.
“ Why are you hear, “ The beast said in a gruff voice.
“ You can talk?” The girl said more curious then afraid now.
“ Yes I can talk, and I’ll talk as much as I want, and you’ll listen,
“ He said angrily. “ My name is Red XIII, and you, my little human friend,
are Aeris Gainsborough.
It was as if the beast had opened a safe in the girls the mind. She
knew her name, and with it came with very small side memories. Her mother’s
name her father’s. Nothing else but those memories.
“You know my name?” Aeris asked.
“ Oh yes, I know your name. I brought you back from Mount Nibelheim,
hoping for your safety, but you seemed beyond life, your mind was scrambled,
so I left you for the human innkeeper, your safety in my mind the whole
while, “ He said. Then he noticed the blood seeping from my body were his
claws were, and he stepped back. “Sorry,”
“ If I’m Aeris, then who’s body is in the grave in front of us?” Aeris
asked gently, still slightly afraid of Red XIII.
“ Well, your Aeris but in a different sense. A man name Sephiroth resurrected
you, he’s not a friend, and he’s using you to lure someone who cares for
you, “Red XIII said, pacing back and forth in front of Aeris.
“ Sephiroth?” Aeris asked, gaining information by the second.
“ A cetra, or ancient. You, me, and 7 other people destroyed Sephiroth,
one man, our unspoken leader cloud Strife had another reason, revenge.
Sephiroth had killed you because he held the key to destroy earth, meteor,
black materia, you contained the holy material the counter-magic of meteor,
so he killed his only obstacle, and gave Cloud even more fuel to kill Sephiroth.
There’s much to tell, but you shall be informed later.” Red XIII said.
“ Cloud Strife, he knew me?” Aeris asked, looking at Cloud’s tombstone.
“ Very much so. Your death hit us all very hard Aeris, but I had a
sinking feeling that hit Cloud the hardest. Cloud is be resurrected from
the grave as we speak from Sephiroth, we have no idea how Sephiroth is
resurrecting everyone, seeing as how he dead hundreds of years ago, “ Red
XIIII was going to go on but was interrupted.
“ Hundreds or years?” Aeris asked getting up. “How did you survive,
“ Aeris asked interested.
“ As you have noticed I am not human, I am a beast to you humans. I
live nearly 5 times longer than humans, I’m getting near death, but still
hanging on by 56 years or so, but as I was saying Sephiroth must be alive,
using magic, so we must do some magic ourselves, “ Red XIII said solemnly.
“ We are going to revive the others? “ Aeris asked, finally catching
on.
Red XIIII smiled and said, “Aeris, you’re catching on, this could go
faster than planned, I guess it’s true, the past can come back and bite
you in the ass,”
