Yuffie, quite forcefully, bumped into Reno, who was walking with his back to her, talking to Tifa. Reno then tripped and landed on Tifa, to make a long story short, they were in quite a suggestive position. Neither moved for what seemed like an eternity, but slowly, Reno inched his face closer to Tifa’s, whose face was a bright red. Yuffie grinned, hiding in an alley way just as Cloud, Sephiroth, and Christy rounded the corner.
Christy gaped, looking at the position that Tifa and Reno were in. Tearing her gaze from the two who looked about to kiss, she turned to Cloud, who had his sword drawn, fury and rage was glistening in his eyes. Before any one could stop him, he pointed his sword at Reno’s back, hissing, “Get off of her Reno, or I swear I will kill you.” Reno slowly go up, turning to face Cloud, a calm expression on his face. “Alright Strife, if you wanna go, let’s go. I’ve had enough of your bull$*&^.” He pulled out his nightstick, both men looking ready to kill.
Tifa sat there glued to her spot, while Cloud and Reno faced off. Her face was still red, she still wasn’t over the fact that Reno had almost kissed her. Christy’s cry for the two guys to stop broke her out of her daze. Running, she stood between the two men. “Stop it!” she cried, but Cloud ignored her, moving out of her way and moving to slice Reno, who pulled up his nightstick to block. Tifa just stood there, horrified. How could she stop them? “Stop them! Sephiroth, please!” Christy begged, as Cloud was zapped with Reno’s nightstick, turning his right arm black. Sephiroth stood there, and shook his head. “Better to let them get this out of their system now, or it will build up and when it blows up, they will kill each other. We should respect their decision.” Sephiroth said, as he watched Cloud slice Reno’s stomach, while Reno punched him in the jaw. Yuffie watched as Cloud sliced Reno’s cheek, and while Reno kicked him at the knee, which buckled. Yuffie didn’t know that it would go this far! She had to stop them! But what could she do? Yuffie felt tears sting her eyes. She didn’t want either of them to die! Sure, they were jerks, but they were still her friends! Maybe she should just watch, like Sephiroth had said. So with grim eyes, she watched her two friends fight.
Reno and Cloud were both breathing heavily, each slashing at each other, while the other barely blocked. When Reno kicked Strife’s knee, and it buckled it was his chance to finish him. Pulling out a gun, he pointed it at his head. “Prepare to die Strife!” He shouted, pulling the trigger. Instead, he felt the gun fly from his hand, and land at Tifa’s feet, who had tears streaking down her face. He turned to see Christy, holding her gun, it’s barrel smoking. Reno sighed, “We’ll finish this later Strife,” He said, walking and melting into the crowd that had formed. “Yuffie, go after him, I think we’ll think of a punishment later.” Sephiroth stated, helping Christy to support the blonde haired mercenary, who was in dire need of a cure spell. Yuffie nodded, about to go off, but Tifa stopped her. “I’ll go, I need to talk to Reno. Maybe you should talk to Cloud, no you get rest. You’ll need it when we’re done with you.” Tifa snapped turning and also melting into the crowd. Yuffie flinched at her tone of voice, but running off, deciding to take her advice.
“You could have gotten yourself killed Cloud! And for what?” Christy steamed, looking angrily down at her repaired brother. “I fought him because he had it coming. Someone would have kicked his @$$ sooner or later. I wanted that satisfaction.” Cloud said coldly, looking at Christy with eyes devoid of any emotion. Christy snorted, and turned her heel and stalked out of the room. He was hopeless! Sephiroth turned to the disheveled warrior. “There are times I wish to kill him, but I won’t, because it would hurt Tifa too much. Even if I don’t like him, Tifa does, and Tifa is a dear friend to me, so I suppress the urge. I respect that you wish to fight, but keep it from a death match. Christy would be sad if you died. Not that it makes a difference to me.” Sephiroth said, turning to find Christy. “Cloud.” He looked up to see a Yuffie with red eyes, like she had been crying. “I’m so sorry! I didn’t know that you would try to kill each other! Please forgive me!” Yuffie wailed, while throwing her arms around Cloud and started sobbing. It took a moment for him to understand what she had said, but then he understood. Yuffie had been the mastermind behind this, but then again Reno didn’t seem to be complaining. He narrowed his eyes at the thought of Tifa choosing someone other than him, especially if it was Reno.
Tifa found Reno leaning against a tree, looking wistfully out to the
ocean. Tifa plopped down next to him, hugging her knees to
her chest, waiting for him to talk. “ My mom was a whore, only so she could
raise me. Even though, she was still beautiful. Some guy beat her up real
bad after one night, so she died after that, when I was about 11.
My dad had left her after I was born, so I never knew the @#$%*&^.
I had to steal and fight for my life from then on, I had to be independent.
I killed my first guy when I was about 14, self-defense, you know. The
way of the slums. When I first joined the Turks, I thought that they’d
just send me out of Midgar. I wanted so badly to get out of that $^** hole,
but I guess they thought my skills were better there. I wanted so badly
to see the sunrise, the ocean, and mountains, like my mom always talked
about, and I saw them and more when I joined the Turks. It was like my
ticket out of there, you know.” Reno said, looking very pained. Tifa nodded,
understanding what Reno had said, a lone tear trickling down both their
faces. “What about you? How was your childhood?” Reno asked, looking back
out into the ocean.
“I guess my childhood was pretty normal. Parents who both loved me,
everyone was my friend. Like little miss perfect. Sometimes I wanted to
scream at the top of my lungs, but nobody would’ve paid attention me. I
was like their little doll, only there for their own happiness. So, I rebelled
every chance that I could get, but my parents always excused it. I guess
my childhood was okay.” Tifa said, looking at Reno, who was looking at
her. Suddenly, Reno gritted his teeth in pain. It then dawned on her why
she was here in the first place. Kneeling beside him, she took out her
necklace, and said a word in the Cetra’s language. It began to glow a silver
color, and slowly it crept to Reno, and when it touched him, he suddenly
felt fine. Looking at where the deep wound in his chest should be, he gasped
lightly when he saw it wasn’t there. “ Wow, that thing sure works wonders.”
Reno stated, standing up. “We should get going now, don’t want Spike to
have a cow again.” He said, helping Tifa up as they started towards the
inn.
Christy was silently fuming. God! What was going on in her brother’s head? Geez! What was wrong with him? She was pacing in the room that all the girls shared, every once in a while, pulling out her gun like she was about to shot. Just as she decided to kill her pillow, Sephiroth walked in and took the gun from her. Christy blushed a deep crimson when her hand brushed against Sephiroth’s who looked calm, but on the inside, he was blushing madly. “You shouldn’t play with your weapons right now in a mood like that.” Sephiroth stated, watching as Christy punched her pillow, and it made a ‘pop’ noise before bursting, feathers floating everywhere. “What’s wrong with him! He almost died! All he can say is that Reno deserved a butt kicking! I’ll show him who deserves a whooping!” Christy declared, walking to the exit, pulling up a shirtsleeve as she did. Sephiroth watched her calmly. “I don’t think that’d be wise.” He said, looking at a steaming Christy. “Why don’t you go to sleep or something?” He suggested, which made Christy snap, “In this mood, it’ll take me hours!” Sephiroth sighed, wishing that she would just calm down.
Rufus sat in front of the capsules that held his two new warriors. He
smirked, letting them loose to cause mayhem and destruction would be interesting.
Hopefully, they would kill Avalanche and capture Sephiroth and the Ancient
like they were supposed to do. He gave an evil chuckle, while dusting some
of the ice that had formed on the capsule of one of the clones. He grinned
evilly, this would be good.
