Twin Facts |
Two of 80 babies born in the United States come into the world as TWINS. In some societies, Twin births are even rarer. Some twins are Fraternal, meaning each has grown in an idividual egg inside its mother. Fraternal twins don't always share the same traits such as hair colour, eye colour, blood type or gender. Identical Twins occur when a single egg splits in two and each half grows on its own. Identical twins share the same chromasones, or genetic information. Because each egg contains the same genetic material, both twins will share the exact physical traits. |
DOUBLE TROUBLE You often hear this Phrase when referring to twins. However, in my personal opinion it has been Double the Pleasure, Double the Delight, and Double the Fun. I have truly enjoyed everyminute of it. Emma and Maria were born premature at 2.5lbs each, and that was a little scary especially seeing them hooked up to all those machines, but it was all worth it, they are healthy and active little girls now, you would never have guessed they were preemies. I consider myself to have "TWICE THE BLESSINGS" |
